I highly recommend David with transformation fitness…read more I am very quiet and anxious and doing new things is really hard. I really wanted to gain confidence in a gym setting so I reached out to David. I called and we set up a meeting to discuss goals and expectations at his facility. When I arrived I was so nervous! He was so nice and patient with my axiety and everything went well. I started the sessions and I quickly gained confidence being in a gym environment. Every person that walks through the doors are so nice, supportive and respectful of each other. It is a group setting, but everyone has their own goals. He writes personalized exercises on a whiteboard and works with each person individually. No one is doing the same exercises as anyone else nor do you do the same exercise each visit. David demonstrates the exercise and ensures proper form. He explains what the target areas are and what you should be feeling. He also rotates from person to person to give you time to do your thing but keeps checking on you to make sure everything is going okay. He does include tension releasing techniques/exercise's which is a huge plus if you have tension or pain in any areas. Bonus: He provided two meal plans. All in all, great experience!

For some back story, I have never really trained with anyone, but Brandon made sure to check in on me for every...single...exercise for 4 weeks. The style of circuit training was difficult, but beginner friendly, with clear modifications at each stop. Also, something I found I loved was his Trivia workout classes, they get your mind thinking, and somehow the exercise gets easier??? Anyways, I had a great month with Brandon and would recommend to anyone in the Roseville area!

Marinoble's offers a variety of instruction in different disciplines! We went in and told them exactly what we wanted, and did not want, for the first few months and they were able to accommodate us with everything we needed. We love our instruction here so far, we look forward to going, and are sad to leave. My littlest is sleeping in his Gi uniform right now. Marinoble's offers such a variety of classes it will accommodate any child and adult. The facility is huge! They have five separate "floors" to instruct various classes simultaneously; including a cage, a boxing ring, a knife throwing center. This means parents can work out in their own class while the kids are having fun learning in another part of the gym. They offer MMA, Kickboxing, JuJitsu, Submission Grappling, BOK FU, Weapons Disarming, and traditional Boxing by actively competing trainers at both the amateur and professional level. My only requests would be large fans, please. The room smells of many sweating people. Okay, not major BO or anything, just man sweat. Of course, the women smell wonderful when we sweat [wink, wink] which can only help deodorize it so much! And the some of the equipment could be maintained better, but it's minor stuff, like having enough properly pumped and working speed bags. **So this is what sold me! The prices are reasonable and they offer family discounts off both the enrollment and tuition anywhere from 25% - 50% off. Then the owner, Dave Marinoble, offered free passes good for a few days of classes to try it out. When I asked when the days would begin, the manager, Kim, told me not to worry about it; to take my time sampling the various classes to help make a better decision. No pressure, wonderful. I brought the boys in and they happily welcomed them and gave them semiprivate instruction to catch up with the group. The looks on their faces said it all. The instructors were so happy and fun while they taught, my boys were grinning ear to ear the entire time. When they finished, their first question was, "When can we come back"? Another good sign! Happy, nurturing teachers, great management and the owner is awesome too. He teaches many of the classes. He has more energy than I've seen any person have! Maybe he can lend me some for my "tired parent" days? Instead, they got me working out in the back room and even I had a blast. After the first day, I told Kim, "We're sold! Give us a few more days to choose which classes", which was fine. For every age 5-85 and every skill level. They train active competitors, kids, soccer moms and everyone in between. The gym is female friendly. The variety of classes and times makes it easy to get a butt-kicking workout in every day. The coaching is fantastic! So far I've had Kim and Abrahm, and the boys have had Tiffany? and Dave Marinoble, plus a few others. We've liked them all! **I strongly recommend checking this place out for fitness, self defense training, and competitive sport, for an adult or a child! We're having lots of fun so far. More updates to come....

He is a former Division 1 college baseball player so you'll see him training a lot of the area's top high school players who are looking to be better before they leave to play college baseball. I definitely wish a place like this was around when I was in high school. Most importantly, Major League Performance is owned by a local small business owner, Chris, that went to high school at Granite Bay. So you know your supporting a local family instead of 24 Hour Fitness or Lifetime.

They monopolize equipment while waiting for the perfect shot, record people who never agreed to be on camera without asking permission or blurring faces, and some even mock other members who are simply there to work out. Personally, I'd be fine with gyms banning filming altogether. That said, most people who occasionally record a set are respectful and considerate of those around them. The real problem is the small group of self-absorbed "influencers" who ruin the experience for everyone else. This Gold's Gym deserves a lot of credit for taking a stand. They removed one of these obnoxious, narcissistic "influencers" after her disruptive behavior while filming. They should be applauded for making the **vast majority** of lifters feel like their gym experience matters more than someone's social media content. The next time I'm in Citrus Heights, I'll absolutely buy a day pass and work out here. They deserve the business for doing what so many lifters wish every gym would do.
