We LOVED Maple & Yolk! We found it from Google Maps suggestion when looking for a place to eat after an appointment at the doctor and wanting to shop at Costco. So the location was perfect right off I74! We went on a weekday around 10 am. As we pulled in, the parking lot had a lot of cars and it being a weekday and not a holiday, right off this seemed like a great sign! As we exited the car we were already hit with great scents as we approached the front door! The building had been easy to spot and was cute! The interior design was nice and in excellent condition. I really hate seeing places with like water damaged ceilings it's just gross. This place was in tip top shape! We were seated right away in a nice booth but had passed a long seating area which I'm sure gets used a lot during busier times and it's nice to see that they have seating for waiting customers. The booth seating was comfortable. The environment was peaceful enough not too quiet but not too loud. We were attended to perfectly by the server who answered any questions we had and politely took our order. She allowed a substitute for my boyfriend and when I had picked pancakes with two sides she pointed out a breakfast dish to me that was better priced. I really appreciated that as I had not see that combination. My boyfriend ordered biscuit and gravy and a fruit cup with coffee as his beverage. His coffee stayed filled. It seemed a little odd that it was just one biscuit but the dish normally came with hash browns not sure if that drowns in gravy? But his dish had TONS of gravy and he LOVED it! He really wanted to pick up the plate and lick every drop of gravy but he resisted!! The fruit was incredible as my dish came with strawberries so I got to experience it too. No idea where they get it but it was incredibly fresh and so tasty it definitely did not seem like grocery store fruit.he had scrambled eggs too I almost forgot. I opted for two pancakes (you could get 3) and bacon (it came with 3 thick slices perfectly cooked and they also offer turkey bacon but I got real), oh and I had the strawberries as a topping! Wonderful brunch place down in Champaign and we enjoyed an early-lunch there during the college drop-off earlier this week. We went like around 1145am - just before the big lunch rush, and it was like a 5 min way for a table. Very nice people and quite a big place that's off-campus. It had a parking lot and all. For food, we had a mix of breakfast things and lunch things. The vegetarian options were a bit disappointingly limited. Like, they could've had a veggie burger, some kind of wraps, etc. From a savory standpoint, it was a grilled cheese and that's about it. And that was OK. On the breakfast side of it, we had this Belgian waffle that was really unique. I couldn't place my finger on it, but it wasn't your standard batter. It had something else on it. Maple And Yolk is one of the most popular places to go in town for brunch or whatever. Expect to be waiting so make reservations if it's a big group. The menu is pretty basic classics along with some other things. Coming in here in the morning there was already a line going out front. It's certainly a favorite around here. The wait was maybe an hour so basically we got other things finished and came back later. A lot of what you expect at breakfast. It's about $5 for the cheapest items. We got the Avocado Toast. Before going know the vegetarian choices are limited. This one comes with an egg but we instead got more of the other toppings. Also we got Hash Browns. The meal was actually filling before we got hungry again later. Also has lots of lunch items. There's the usual items like salads and sandwiches. Corned Beef Hash was definitely homemade with chunks of tender corned beef with onions and green bell peppers accompanied with crispy oven roasted potatoes and two eggs cooked to order. It was delicious. Also came with choice of toast or pancakes. I don't usually get pancakes but I wanted to try them. You get two good sized pancakes with warm maple syrup on the side. The pancakes were tender with a little bit of substance to the texture which was nice. You could taste vanilla which was pleasant. The portions were generous. I also tried their house hot sauce. The chipotle flavor was just enough to give it a little smoky flavor but not overpowering. Very nice addition. The service was very good even though busy. My OG eggs Benedict was 10/10. I love that they let me substitute the English muffin with gluten free toast. Even better-the fresh fruit was berries, yum!! My first visit here was on Mother's Day this year! My daughter lives in Champaign and I came to visit and she was set on taking me here for Mother's Day brunch! She was raving about how good the food was and I said ok ok it can't be THAT amazing... she was right! This establishment doesn't take reservations, they do a waiting list. And when we woke up my daughter put us on the list and we were 189th!!! I said welp- we may need to have a back up plan because we're never gonna get in! But sure enough by the time we got dressed and ready and arrived, it worked out seamlessly and we walked straight in and to our table! I don't recall ever witnessing such a highly efficient, AND friendly team at a restaurant in my life. I was truly amazed that we made our way thru the waitlist, and despite it being an extremely busy day on a holiday, it was not at all chaotic. They had a system, and everyone knew their assignments! We were seated in a nice sunny booth for our meal. A server who wasn't even our main server came over to say hello and wish me a happy Mother's Day and offered to take our picture!! So sweet!!! Now to the food!!! Oh my goodness. I literally have not stopped thinking about this veggie skillet since Mother's Day!!!! The combinations!!! So they had sweet potato tater tots, mushrooms, spinach, eggs, pumpkin seeds, feta and dried cranberries!!!! A party in my mouth!!!! That combination was SO delicious!! Prior to this, there hasn't been a good go to place to meet friends or family for breakfast and maple and yolk now checks that box. 6/5/26 First time customers, we thought it was a great place. Our server was excellent and I did not catch her name (she did have a cat tattoo on the back of her right upper arm). Stephanie got two buttermilk pancakes and 2 sausage links, I got the banana bread French toast? What no way!!! I have so many amazing things to say about this place, first off this is exactly the type of brunch spot Champaign has been NEEDING! The inside is so cute and honestly because of the waitlist the wait wasn't bad at all! But if you don't add yourself to if before you get there I would expect to wait a little. Next is the menu, when I tell you I could have looked at this menu all day, there were so many amazing options I seriously had a hard time choosing! Talia was our "Wrangler" We got in and our reservation was registering. Jokingly I thanked them for the ocean view. There "A" Game was in full gear. Ladies Ordered a round of Hot Chocolate Peppermint Cup & I went with a prosecco. There cheese curds are the bomb, WI should be proud. I was looking for a place to have breakfast with my family while we stayed in the area overnight a couple of weekends ago and Maple & Yolk popped up with rave reviews. Then, I discovered that they were part of the same restaurant group as one of my hometown favorites, Mornings Breakfast and Brunch, so we had to give them a try. As we pulled into the parking lot between 8 and 9am on that Sunday morning, the place appeared to be jam- packed! I hopped on the website to see if there was a waitlist that I could add us to, but it said that there was no wait for a group of 4. We did notice, however, that larger groups did have to wait. We were immediately sat in a booth in the furthest corner of what I believe was their main dining room. I noticed another dining area off to the right of the host stand that may have been for larger groups, or just overflow seating. It also appeared to be full to capacity. I really liked the sleek, minimalistic, bright and airy decor, but the massive Sunday morning crowd made the lovely, upscale diner feel and sound more like a cafeteria. I wonder if the type of noise-canceling technology used in call centers would help with that?! Our server was very bubbly (like the mimosa that I ordered), and respectful. That's very important to me, as we were dining with my in-laws. She worked her way around the table taking our orders... ladies first, starting with my MIL, followed with me, then she moved to my FIL, finally ending with my husband. I liked that! She was amazing and made sure that we were taken care of. Coffee all-around, except for me, so there was a carafe and bowl of creamers left on the table. The omelet and yogurt bowl entrees were HUGE servings. The breakfast platters containing eggs, meat, and sides were reasonably portioned. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals...I just couldn't finish mine! Part-way through our meals, a family that had been seated a few booths down from us got up and stood nearby. The air vent over their table had condensation dripping off of it. A member of staff used a Swiffer-like apparatus to remedy the issue. Soon enough, I saw them moving about the dining area addressing other vents with the same issue. That's when I looked up. There was one directly above us as well, but luckily it never dripped. If we're ever in the area again, we'll return, but hopefully it won't be as loud and over-stimulating. read more

Passing through the on our way home, we wanted to stop for breakfast before hitting the road and this place is very close to the hotel. Love that they have a Bloody Mary option. So happy that we were able to get right in with our 8 person group. The menu offers ample options. I ordered the shareable cinnamon roll which did not disappoint. Also had the elevated breakfast sandwich that hit the spot. My daughter had the red velvet pancakes (pictured) and liked them. They are a work of art. I've been to M&Y quite a few times now. The interiors are modern looking; bright, airy, with clean lines. The menu is small but covers all the main items that one has for breakfast/brunch (e.g pancakes, french toast, omelettes). Our servers have always been friendly and the food surprisingly comes out pretty fast. The prices are on par with those of other similar establishments. At this particular visit, we ordered the vegetarian omelet (and explained that we are in fact vegetarian), kids special (requested to sub fruit for meat) and the banana bread French toast. Our vegetarian omelet, much to our dismay, had a piece of bacon inside. The kids special was 2 sunny side up eggs plated with bacon and sausage links (despite requesting no meat). The banana bread french toast was absolutely amazing, its a thing of pure beauty. Our server was apologetic and bought the eggs back with the meat removed. We told her that we did not want another omelet, and we were not charged for the omelet. Overall, I was disappointed by the lack of care about food choices. I understand it is a busy establishment but if they are not able to accommodate different dietary restrictions, they should specify that. However, if you have no dietary restrictions, its definitely worth a try and you will likely not be disappointed. Ps: chilaquiles completely missed the mark. read more

We went here for galentines lunch and it did NOT disappoint! We were able to get so much food for a really good price! I even had left overs for a few days which is so helpful since my fridge is always empty. There were cute valentines pillows as decoration which made it so fitting! Place was busy so it's a popular spot for sure. I ordered a super tasty yogurt bowl that had all of the things on it, my brother in law ordered a giant omelet with a side of mixed greens (saved half for dinner) and my husband had some combination of eggs, sausage and toast.
