Everything came out quickly and was delicious. One of my poached eggs was a little overcooked but I love the potatoes (more like breakfast potatoes than hashbrowns) and toppings were freshman and plentiful. It's always packed, especially on weekends. Would recommend you join the waitlist a few hours in advance if you have a large party on a Saturday or Sunday. We stopped in this morning after seeing this place on a local community group on Facebook. Parking was tricky but we eventually found a spot and headed in where we were immediately accommodated with a table. Every staff member that we came into contact with was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed seeing all of the updates made. We split an avocado toast topped bacon, poached eggs ( not pictured hollandaise sauce) and a side of hash brown. We heard about Maple & Yolk from my cousin. I also saw nice reviews on Yelp, so we wanted to try it. We're in town for a wedding & we're staying (at a hotel) across the street from the restaurant. Glad we checked it out! We booked our reservation on the restaurant website as we left our hotel. As soon as we parked, we received a text that our table was ready! Walked into the restaurant & got seated right away. We were greeted by our great server, Evan! He was so friendly & provided awesome service. I ordered the veggie omelette with hash browns. It also comes with toast or pancakes. I ordered the pancakes. Hubby ordered 2 eggs over easy & and order of toast. We both ask ordered coffee. The coffee was good! I forgot to ask what kind of coffee they serve tho. Evan & other servers kept coming back to see if we wanted more coffee throughout our meal! It was nice to always have "hot" coffee. I read on Yelp that there were flies in the restaurant, but it wasn't a problem at all. I didn't t see any flies! The restaurant did seem a bit loud, but it's because it's pretty crowded, but it also wasn't a problem. The food was delicious & a lot for one person! Glad we checked it out! You should too! First I will say this restaurant is excellent! I went for a late lunch with a friend. I have been a couple of times for breakfast. I am thrilled with this restaurant. I am not a big breakfast eater, but my husband sure is. He also loves the place! I marked it down because they don't offer heavy cream for specialty coffees. It wouldn't take much to add this as an option, and I suspect many cold brew fans would greatly appreciate a sweet cream or heavy cream option for their cold brews. Also the only sugar-free flavor is vanilla. I was happy for that option, but a hazelnut or carmel choice would also be popular. As for the food, it is top notch. Everything is made fresh. I never order fries, but had a hankering for some, and they were so so good!! My BLTT was great as was my friend's belgian waffle. If I could rank this 4.9 I would. Wonderful! We were in town for mom's weekend at UIUC and stopped by for lunch at Maple and Yolk. It was EXCEPTIONAL from start to finish. Needless to say, I was not surprised, having previously dined at the Urbana Garden. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with a modern and chic upgrade. But it's truly the staff that make it so incredibly special. While it was very busy, our server was highly attentive and immediately greeted us at the table. The entire staff made us feel valued and attended to throughout our meal. The food! The food (and drinks) were a highlight-- everything we ordered was beautifully presented and just bursting with flavor. Our food orders: Bavarian Cheeseburger and fries, Buffalo chicken wrap, Rooster sandwich, Grilled Chicken salad. My daughter is adamant that it was the best ranch dressing she's ever had! We finished up with a few drinks including peach mimosa, boronica and lattes. A perfect end to a perfect meal. Maple and Yolk is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy delicious food, all while being treated with warmth and hospitality. I wish we lived closer so I can stop by more often. Ate there yesterday morning (3/22/26) while visiting our son at the U of I. Arrived around 9 am on a Sunday morning with a parking lot which looked fairly full and expected a wait, not having reservations. They were very efficient and our wait time was less than 5 minutes, which was a very pleasant surprise. The menu looked interesting with a lot of variety. Each of us enjoyed our orders. Mine was an Omelet with Hashbrowns and Pancakes, with an added side of Sausage Gravy. The Omelet and Hashbrowns covered the first plate and the Pancakes a second with the Sausage Gravy filling an ample sized bowl. Very impressed with not only the portion size (Which constituted not only that meal but this morning's breakfast as well), but the taste and quality of the food as well (very much liked the house Chipotle hot sauce-very tasty with heat and sweet!). The server was very friendly and did a good job! We had been to this location many years ago in as a previous Brunch type place, and the current iteration seemed brighter and more lively. Waitress was not attentive to my dietary needs. I asked for her to check if the southwest wrap was dairy free. The sauce was not. As someone who has been dairy free for years this is very disappointing. None the less the food was great! The service not so much. read more

So loud on a Sunday morning that my ears rang for an hour. Food was just okay. My "eggs in purgatory" tasted like canned tomatoes. The "artisan bread" tasted like white sandwich bread. The food did come fast, but then it felt like we were getting rushed out; the waitress never refilled the coffee and asked my husband if he wanted a box when he was only half done with his meal. The decor is nice so we hoped it would be better than it was. Champaign really needs good brunch places, so I hope this place can address their issues. We'll try again in a couple months. read more
