The Maple Hill Manor B&B was our choice of lodging in Bardstown Ky. The B&B is actually in Springfield Ky. about 17 mi. from Bardstown. However, it's an easy drive to all of the attractions in the area. The B&B owners Catherine and Justin were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed the conversations with them and the breakfasts were tasty and filling. We stayed in the Stephen Collins Foster room which is on the first floor. It was large with a comfortable Queen bed and walk in shower and jacuzzi tub. Maple Hill Manor is tranquil and has a country atmosphere. If you prefer a B&B over chain Hotel/Motel give Maple Manor a try. We highly recommend it.

We had such! A wonderful time here. Tina - the host was amazing and made us feel so welcome. The grounds were well kept. And the mansion was such a great place for family's and groups to stay while touring the distilleries. The host breakfast was awesome. Five stars! The place to stay!! Ask for Tina a lovely individual.

We recently visited Maple Hill Manor for national alpaca day and had the most wonderful time! I absolutely LOVE alpacas and when I found out that there was a beautiful bed and breakfast not too far from Louisville that is surrounded by my favorite animals, I knew I had to visit. We were given some information about their alpaca breeds and strolled around the gorgeous property and farm store. I am definitely planning on staying the night there some time in the future. What a magical place!

We made a Reservation later afternoon early evening On Bookings.com we received a email to confirm our reservation. We arrived and only 2 cars. We went in called the number that we was told to call no answer. We waited Rang doorbell And trying to call the number again. Finally a answer She came down it was 7 our time 8 their time. She was in a Short night shirt. She helped get us to our room and we still needed to find food. The beds were pretty bad and need replaced. Next morning at a Breakfast we was told that our Bill didn't show paid so I checked our account and it didn't. So the lady had us slide our Debit card on her phone. I checked our account showing paid You will be called My Love ALOT!! . $187 for no sleep. Plus yesterday we received a nasty call saying we didn't pay. 1 month later. I sent email proof of payment. I don't suggest this place

Do not go to Maple Hill Manor UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE ROYALTY. Tina is a most extraordinary hostess. The home is elegant. There is always a freshly baked pie and cake if you need a snack. Watching the sunset from the upstairs back deck is very relaxing. The vistas from any vantage point on the property are bucolic. Have a Cocktail on the swing beneath the Cigar Tree. Our room was huge and quite comfortable. We slept soundly all 3 nights that we were there. Thank you Tina for making our trip so special and memorable

Maple Hill Manor 2941 Perryville Rd, Springfield, KY 40069 http://maplehillmanor.com/mobile/ We had the opportunity to spend a long weekend with Brad and Amy Winestock as our hosts. Beyond performing as great hosts they also were extremely friendly and just good people. Brads breakfast was amazing each morning especially the brown sugar bacon and lemon soufflé. Amy was the best hostess taking care of our every need. We had fresh towels and sheets every day. The bedding was, well simply put, luscious. Six hundred thread count, combed Pima cotton sheets makes for a really good nights sleep. The grounds are well kept and have walking trails and also hammocks hidden away in the shade. Period furniture and antiques fill the beautiful manor. There's also a nice patio and fire pit. Life is very relaxing and comfortable at Maple Hill Manor. We will be coming back on our next trip to the area. Urban Cowgill Oct 2015

My parents and I went to Maple Hill Manor for an Easter getaway weekend. Tina is the hostess and an absolute doll. She is incredibly sweet, helpful, and available. The house was beautifully decorated in a period appropriate style. She made breakfast togo and always had a sweet desert treat out. The llamas were cute and friendly and you could feed the babies any time you want. Easy drive to distilleries and Bardstown.

Myrtledene has been designated a Kentucky Landmark by the Kentucky Heritage Committee. General Morgan was so enamored with Myrtledene that he chose to spare it when his Raiders burned and looted much of Lebanon, a Union stronghold. In fact, it was here where the white flag of truce was flown atop a pole used to clean the tall ceilings. Today's "raiders" can use Myrtledene as their headquarters as they come to experience traditional Southern hospitality and visit the many area attractions I would love to learn more about the history of this gorgeous manor.

(very pretty, though, and we survived due to my other-worldly driving skills). The B&B apparently has some history to it relating to the Civil War, as does the city of Lebanon. This is supposedly one of the few houses that was not burned when the Confederate army seized it. The house is quite charming if you're into old houses. Our room was fairly nice with maybe a few too many pieces of furniture stuffed in it. You don't really have a private bathroom unless nobody else is staying there. They seem to be improving the place, as they were putting in central air while we were there (I think). The Good: The bed was comfortable, there is free wireless, and the owner/operator is very pleasant. Breakfast was good. The Bad: The grounds needed some tending to. The grass was very over-grown, as were the vines hanging over the front walk-way. Breakfast was about 45 minutes late and we didn't have access to coffee until breakfast was ready (though it was very good). The owner/operators have two young children. They didn't disturb us, though you should know this is sort of a family-friendly establishment. Some of you may like that, and some of you may not. If ever in the middle of Kentucky again, we would consider staying here again.

Please see more PHOTOS on my Trip Advisor review!…read more Without a doubt, The Hill House Bed and Breakfast is one of the most luxurious, charming, and just so good that it's almost decadent, destinations! The vibe and decor is an eclectic mix of yesteryear meets modern, bright and airy! It's a perfect blend! The new owners are still ongoing their projects of updating many things; yet it seems as if everything has already been done! There has been no detail left out! It's spic and span CLEAN from top to bottom! Super Cleanliness is a big PLUS for me! The breakfasts are absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS! The presentation in the Dining room is where the experience starts! Presentation truly is everything and The Hill House has it! Jim and Cheryl are both very creative people! I'm sure they'll keep the updates going until they have it just SO-SO to meet their level of what they want this lovely home to be! My cousin and I had a 2 night stay here while visiting the Bardstown KY area. I stayed in the Maple Room. My cousin was in the Magnolia room. I couldn't have been more fortunate than to have a chosen the room that just absolutely was everything I'd want it to be. (Be very careful of the lower door knobs or you get locked in your room. Jim is going to change out all of these. You'll be fine if you don't lock that bottom doorknob!) Thank you so much to Jim and Cheryl that made our stay truly enjoyable. Jim, an extra thank you for helping me exit out of the parking lot upon departure in the rain on those curvy roads. To Cheryl, I just hate it that with the rain and all that I forgot those amazing leftovers out of the fridge. I sure was looking forward to that later this evening! You both went above and beyond! Best of wishes to you on the rest of your Journey! I have just a couple of tips for anyone traveling here. You need to physically type in the address into your GPS. If you don't, you'll end up like me driving in circles in some of the most beautiful farmlands and rolling hills I've ever seen! That part was great, but, you may panic, like I did! The location is very easy to pass right by it and end up doing this. However, it was because I spoke my GPS instead of actually typing in the address. Also, if you should have any physical limitations, be aware that there are stairs down to the patio and then of course if you're staying in a room on the upper level, there are stairs. This is an Historic home and there are no elevators. Also, be prepared for a lot of winding roads in the areas between Bardstown and Loretto. The roads themselves are beautiful, but there are so many people that live there that drive SO FAST around those curves, that I was truly frightened a couple of times. I suppose the locals know the roads and they're not concerned. I hope someone in the City Council, or the Mayor, becomes concerned, and SOON. Better to advice their residents to cool it on these roads before someone dies a tragic death here. I hate to write that but I don't want anyone harmed on the roads of Loretto, KY. I can't believe the local law enforcement doesn't seem concerned about this.
