Clean hotel, with good coffee and decent breakfast. Customer service was friendly. The only place we will stay in Bardstown!

Everything was spot on at this hotel. Check in was smooth and the young lady was professional and customer focused. The room was ready when we arrived it was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of choices. The location was a little over a mile from downtown but central to restaurants and shopping. read more

I'm going to keep it simple the lobby clean at the hotel but the rooms no. I stayed here twice for my trip and the first room was ok but not fresh like it just had been clean but the second time I stayed here the bathroom was covered in pubic hair all in the bathroom in the shower on the floor. The was where filthy and sheets seemed brown in color. read more

First this place is super new, I stayed here within a week or so of the opening date. So my review is going to be well bland about this property, the reason, how can I say anything else other than everything was brand new and clean. This place is perfect for a stay in bourbon country. I mean seriously why would you stay anywhere else if in the area? The staff was super friendly. I found some coffee grounds in the pot of coffee and they immediately poured it out and made a fresh pot. The coffee was pretty good as well, I am a coffee snob (Sad but true) and this was on a scale of truck stop coffee to indy coffee house coffee it was closer to coffee house than most other places I have been to. The room was perfect and the bed was super comfy. The even have a Tesla Charging station for those that need it. I would be happy to stay here again when I am in the area. I just hope next time they will be able to serve a real breakfast. read more

I really liked this hotel. This is a newer hotel and the rooms are very comfortable. I have stayed at other Fairfield hotels that felt old and dated, this one is far from that type of hotel as it is new, fresh, and comfortable. The breakfast was a particular surprise with quiche, sugar waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage being offered during our stay. We were also there during March Madness and were able to go down to the lobby with some bourbon and be joined my friends watching the game. For me, the key is if I would stay again and I have no hesitations. read more

Great location in Bardstown. Not too far away from several distilleries. Close to downtown's historic district. Must be a new building. Everything is clean and fresh. Front desk is always staffed with friendly people. Never have to wait for someone to come help you. Free breakfast is large and well stocked. Same friendly lady was busy refilling and keeping everything ready for the next hungry person. She was very pleasant to speak to and kind. Thursday they had these mini quiches. Friday and Saturday they had individual sugar Belgian waffles hot and ready to eat. Our room was a little on the small side. Later found out they also have suites. We could really have used an extra chair or sofa for sitting and reading. All we had was a bed and the desk chair. So we spent some time in the lobby. The lobby has a nice seating area by the tv in the front room. There's also tables, booths in the breakfast area with one large table and another big tv. Fun place to sit with friends and watch a basketball tournament. Yes, it was March Madness. Bathroom is very nice and plenty of space for two people to store our toiletries. They have large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash ON the wall in the shower! Very nice! I wish all Fairfield Inn's were this new and nice. read more

We decided to stay here on our recent visit to Bardstown because the location is fairly central to distilleries, the amenities are many and the prices are fair. Our room was clean and check in was a breeze. The bed was comfortable, though I will say check your pillows if you are allergic to down - half of the pillows on the bed were down and we had to call for replacements, which the front desk quickly provided. The swimming pool is rather small, as is the fitness room, but both were adequate for a brief stay. Breakfast is provided every morning from 6:30-9:00 but make sure you get there early. I went down for breakfast at 8:30 and there was little left to choose from. Rooms come with a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker which was a nice bonus, making it easier to eat midday meals without having to go out to an expensive lunch. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall, I recommend this place if you are looking to stay in Bardstown for a few days. It's comfortable, centrally located and well-priced. read more

We stayed here for a concert at The Amp at Log Still Distillery. The hotel was expensive, but the whole area seems to be pricey. Maybe it's due to Bardstown, KY being "the Bourbon capital of the world"?! There was NO ONE at the front desk. Ever. When we arrived, I had to ask 3 times if anyone was there - each time raising the volume of my voice so someone (anyone???) Might hear me. We checked in late, so I understood when the preferred rooms were not available. We were given an accessible room, which usually means it's larger and more comfy. The bathroom was laid out oddly, and I'm not sure it would have been helpful for someone with differing abilities. The shower had 2 seats attached to the wall that did not stay up, so even though we didn't need the seats, they were taking up half the shower. The shower curtain was so high off the ground that there was a foot between the bottom of the curtain and the floor. So obviously, all the water runs out of the shower and onto the bathroom floor, saturating the rug and making the entire room a slip hazard. One of my fav things about fairfield inns is that they offer cookies every evening at the front desk. This hotel didn't! No matter what time of day or night we came or left, there was never anyone at the front desk. When we checked out, again, no one was at the front desk. I had to yell multiple times to get anyone's attention to check us out of our room. Other guests just left their room keys on the counter! The final observation is that I have a Gold Elite status with Marriott hotels. I don't expect a red carpet rolled out for me, but usually, the hotels I stay in do! Including other Fairfield Inns across the country offering free room upgrades and a welcome gift. This hotel stay was a major disappointment and definitely not worth the price we paid. read more

Really wanted to like this Fairfield. It's newer and pretty well maintained. Usually stay at the North Fairfield in Lexington (which is pretty great) but gave Bardstown a shot as it shortened time on the road. As a lifetime platinum elite, I have had many Marriot experiences to compare to so this one was an oddity. Checkin seemed off. Room assignment was less than expected. Beds just ok. Clean room. Broken coffee maker. Party noise on floor above made for a restless night which was irritating as i tried to preempt by request high floor. Instead got placed near the elevator and ice machine on a middle floor. BS. Breakfast ok. Sometimes stuff just happens which is no big deal but again, an off experience. Probably wouldn't stay again. read more

This spot was really beautiful for my second mini-vacation during the Covid times. I didn't feel comfortable leaving state lines, so I really just wanted to stay in Kentucky and check out more distilleries. The facility was brand new, and very clean. The room next door to me was going to be loud, I could tell before I could even go in the door. I used the bathroom and left and asked the front desk to change my room. I couldn't tell by the lady's voice if she was peeved, but she said, "First floor ok?" not really, but ok. I just wanted to lay down. I did get into the room that she moved me to and when I finally took a nap, the sprinklers were splashing the window so that woke me up. So that is probably why I took off one star. Other than that, I liked the clean gym, the toiletries, the shower. read more

Stayed at the Fairfield Inn while attending the 2023 Kentucky Bourbon Festival. The staff could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. Their was a shuttle that ran from the hotel to the festival multiple times a day starting at 11AM. One morning we wanted to go into Bardstown early and the talking to the young lady at the front desk ( she may have been the Manager) about our options for a taxi or Uber and her response was " wait right here, I'll go get my car and drive you into town" Who does that now days? This hotel was built in 2020 and it is clean, fresh, and bright. We stayed in a double bed queen suite and the room was spacious and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. The pool was closed for some reason while we were there but we don't usually use the pool. The workout area was spacious and pretty complete. Breakfast food was OK but by the time we got down there at 8:30 most of the food was gone. Possibly because two teams of teenage boys were staying there for the Little League tournament! Nicely located near downtown Bardstown and also centrally located for many distilleries. read more

This place is great. We'd just been at the Brown for several days and wow was this place fresh by comparison. Beds and temp control are perfect. Breakfast was back to normal and they offered daily cleaning. Perfect backroad access to historic downtown and restaurants. General manager was awesome and seemed to really care about guest satisfaction. read more

This hotel could be really good, but it has several things that need attention. First, we stayed 6 nights, and had bed change only one time. That is ridiculous! No one should sleep in a hotel that many nights without bedding attention. Also I was told that we had to go to the front desk to get fresh towels. The lady there told me to put the wet towels in the hallway. We continued to do that. Ridiculous! To add to that, we had trash can and recycle cans emptied only 1 time. My spouse started collecting it after that and putting it in the trash can by the elevators. Breakfast, what can I say? The worst! Bacon half-cooked. One morning the oatmeal cooker contained a dried mess from the day before, and there was no one in charge of keeping things clean and restocked. Three nights in a row, we were awakened next door by revelers at 1 and 2 a.m. A manager needs to be present to keep this place in shape. $919.00 for 6 nights! Not worth it. read more

We did a weekend trip from Athens, al. Looked like an interesting destination as Bardstown, Kentucky has a lot of history. Beautiful little old town. Looked for and found Fairfield Inn&Suites. Marriot. Not as nice as most Marriot locations but decent. Room 202 was clean and very neat. Cramped. Hotel was not full on this off travel weekend but the desk only had double Queen bed room available. Nice large screen streaming capable TV. Minimum outlets for charging devices and none near the beds. Beds were very comfortable but the experience goes down from here. Pillows absolutely STANK! Sweat and old smell And they were about 2 inches thick and flattear than a dog bed. Room 202 might be the worst room in the hotel. Toilet flushing from the upstairs rooms are heard frequently in the paper thin walls. 202 is a corner unit next to the road so also a lot of traffic noise. Toilet tips and wiggles when you get up So do use the nearby knee wall to hold steady. In room coffee service was almost as minimal as one could find. One regular and one decaf only and not very good. The provided paper cups leaked and made a mess on the table.We usually travel with our own back up coffee so we had that going for us. Biggest issue is just our disappointment. Marriot is usually a good choice. This location is little better than a cheep interstate Days inn or Comfort Inn. Obviously we haven't stayed anywhere else near Bardstown but for $170.00 a night, Fairfield Inn & Suites Marriot in Bardstown Kentucky, is not where you want to spend your money. I gave it a 2. We may very well come back to Bardstown as again, it is a beautiful town but we will certainly not stay here again. read more
