When we removed it, what appeared to be mold was on the bathtub where the bottle had been placed. It had to be there for quite a while for that to occur. 3. There is no counter space in the bathroom to place toiletries. 4. A grab bar was located behind the toilet, positioned under a glass shelf. Still struggling to understand how someone needing to grab onto the bar would be able to do so. 5. The toilet did not appear secured to the floor. 6. The shower head was too high on the wall, making it difficult to reach, and it was not possible to adjust the head. 7. Tacky, handwritten notes indicated that several juice dispensers in the eating area were out of order. 8. The desk lamp had no shade. 9. The TV was maladjusted; the picture quality was horrible.

Amenities - There is a nice pool, sauna, and hot tub setup on one end of the building. There is also a fire pit table outside on a small patio attached to the pool area. The lobby sitting room is pretty nice and a comfy place to read a book or take a break. Free coffee is available during the day and cookies at night (if you can snag one before they are gone). Food - There is a free breakfast buffet offered at this location. The breakfast layout is your standard waffle bar layout. Hot options include eggs, potatoes, breakfast meat, sausage gravy, and waffles. Continental options are available too such as yogurt, cereal, breakfast breads, fruit, etc. Vibe - Lots of rules with fines at this location. No early check-in or check-out unless you are willing to pay extra. Staff were not very present, seemed to be away from the front desk a lot but they were nice enough when I met them. I chalk up the lack of staffing issue with the issues related with hiring enough people in the area. Reality vs. Online - Online pictures that I saw on their website matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms. She was constantly in and out clearing dishes, keeping the food stocked and covered, wiping up every little crumb, and making conversation with the visitors, and asking if there was anything we needed that wasn't already out, etc. she was so friendly and helpful! I don't know if/when I'll ever be in Fergus Falls again but if I am, I'd come back here. My only complaint is that of all the cable channels, somehow Food Network was missing? When I called the corporate office, they said it is the hotel's responsibility. Also, I should mention that my son's room had a broken lock so they told him he would have to come to the desk every time he wanted to go in or out of his room to get it unlocked (or leave it unlocked). Seriously??!! After waiting at the desk for a long time throughout the evening because no one was at the desk when he wanted his door unlocked, he gave up and left it unlocked. Is there no one there that can fix the lock?? So now I find out our next family reunion is at another Wyndham AmericInn Hotel in a different location. I'm willing to forgive and forget so when I went to make my reservations, I saw that I did not get all my points from the bed bug hotel. I chatted with the corporate office to find out where the points were. After waiting on hold for over 15 minutes, I finally heard from the Customer Service person (I use that term loosely), who types that I'm only allowed points for 3 rooms per stay. Who knew??? Then he/she types "Is there anything else I can help with?" and signs off immediately ... so I guess I don't. My conclusion is that it is not a local hotel problem, it starts at the corporate office with really bad customer relations and no desire to provide customer service. I may find a different hotel close by for the family reunion this year - I don't want to give any more of my money to Wyndham/AmericInn (plus hopefully I'll have a better chance of not getting a bed bug room again).
