When we got to the piles of black garbage bags stacked in the hallway, the door to the spray room was to the right. There's a tiny, shabby waiting room, if you can call it that, and a janky storage room/janitor closet. Plus, the woman getting sprayed had left her stuff all over the one chair, open handbag and everything. The tan itself didn't really look like much, except on my face, which was really dark. But everywhere else you couldn't really notice it. So, nope. Would not recommend. PS: If this review convinces you to go here, be prepared to get totally nay-nay except for disposable paper undies.

Rosana showed such incredible expertise too, drawing out the symmetrical lines I should strive for to achieve the look I wanted. I absolutely appreciated the time she took to make my appointment successful. They have good covid measures in place too right now, with a temperature check at the door, a big jug of hand sanitizer on the front desk, and masks required all around. I should've known the second I walked in and seeing the amount of cosmetic and medspa offerings this not a legitimate functional medicine office. My first appointment I came in then did a BMI assess ment, took vitals, and then I met with Daiva who is one of their nurse practitioners. She listened to my symptoms as I explained what I've been experiencing with no changes and only seeming to get worse. She wrote down everything I mentioned and noted that I would need to come back for testing as no one told me prior to this appt I should've been fasting for lab work. I then came back about a week later, had an insane amount of blood taken for testing, urine test, and H. Pylori testing done. When I came back a few weeks later for a 2pm appointment I waited for over 20 minutes before anyone took me back and then additional testing was done prior to going over results with Daiva. A metabolic breathe test was done and then an ultrasound of my leg veins was done. I was assured that the ultrasound was a free screening and would not be charged. I have been monitoring my insurance to make sure that is true. I was already annoyed because at this point I had been here an hour and still not gone over my results. Finally we make it to the back and they are taking my vitals again and weight, then going back to see Daiva for all my results. This took about another hour to go over everything. My boyfriend came with me as he wanted to see if they could find out any updates and then determine if he should start coming here as a patient as well. He was even more annoyed that I was that we had been there for 2 hours and could not answer anything of my sickness and instead suggested I do additional testing that I had requested to do in the first place and would be all out of pocket costs. The only thing the lab work came back with was every vitamin in my body was very low and below the optimal functional range. They did not do the GI mapping like I had requested or glyphosphate testing. When I brought it to Daiva's attention that my allergist found out that my histamine levels are extremely high it maybe affecting my gut health and DAO enzyme productivity. Her response is "what is a DAO enzyme" once I heard that and all the specific testing I wanted was not done I knew this was a money grab functional medicine scam. They sent me home with over $500 worth of supplements and she recommended I start taking them all immediately. For someone who is depleted of these vitamins wouldn't taking all these doses at once send the body into shock? I followed up with my PCP, allergist, and a legit functional medicine doctor. They agreed most if not all of the herbal supplements they sent me home with were completely unnecessary. Very disappointed in what seems to be a money grab scam and there was still not clear diagnosis of my symptoms or what maybe even causing them. Very frustrating as i am still not feeling well and was hoping they would be able to say it was a gut imbalance or some type of parasite. Not to mention even more concerning that a patient knows more than their provider about gut health and enzyme. DO NOT GO HERE FOR FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE! I will be monitoring my insurance and credit card charges to make sure they are not continuing to charge me.

It really made me question whether they are properly disinfecting their tools between clients. Overall, this experience was stressful.

During one of my sessions, I was severely burned in a specific area, which was very painful. The injury made me lose trust in the amount of safety I had during treatments. I am unsure still why it occurred because I was told that the puss open wound, was due to a hair that was ingrown and became infected... which I quickly learned was not what was going on. In addition, I felt uncomfortable with the staffing of technicians situation. While many other females worked there, there was only one laser technician available, and he was male. He performs Brazilian laser hair removal on female clients, but when I checked the website after a few treatments and curiosity, did not offer the same service to male clients, which in hindsight sight felt unprofessional and inappropriate to me being that if a female wants a Brazilian, she has no choice but to have a male technician. An hour before my appointments, I applied numbing cream on my bikini line and my entire Brazilian area with plastic wrap over the areas. At the beginning of my appointment, he wiped my numbing cream off from my Brazilian area very invasively without even asking if I was okay with that or giving me the option if I could wipe it myself before the lasering. The reason could be so he removes all of the product off completely before lasering, but with ONLY a male tech available and as a female patient who is basically blindfolded being touched in that vulnerable way, I should have 100% been given more options for my comfort. I was asked to remove my bra while wearing a medical gown that opens in the front. The laser treatment was only for my underarms, and the area was fully accessible through the sides/sleeves of the gown. There was no medical reason for me to remove my bra. As a result, my chest was exposed, which made me feel very uncomfortable and vulnerable. This situation felt completely unnecessary, and it could have been easily avoided. Between the physical injury and the discomfort surrounding the treatment environment, I chose not to return again. I would strongly encourage others considering this spa to think about your comfortability levels when getting vulnerable areas lasered by a male technician, to ask detailed questions about safety protocols, and how client comfort is prioritized before making an appointment.
