We came here for a family dinner and had a great experience. The name "Marash" comes from a city in Turkey known for its meat dishes, so my expectations were high--especially since the owner is from there. We all ordered grilled chicken BYO wraps, and they were so good that even my picky son wanted a second one. The toppings were fresh with a great variety. The white sauce was delicious, and the hot sauce wasn't too spicy--something everyone can enjoy. The place is much bigger inside than it looks and feels very clean and spacious. There used to be a pizza place here that didn't feel very clean, but now it's completely different--you can tell a lot of effort went into the renovation. Food is ready quickly, though grilled items will take a few minutes more. For my first visit here, I ordered the Chicken Doner sub. The meat is prepared Turkish-shawarma style and served on a lightly toasted sub roll (roughly an 8" roll). I requested all the extras, which included the white yogurt sauce, a little of the spicy red sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and I believe cucumbers. It had great aroma and taste. The gentleman behind the counter (the owner maybe?) was very friendly and helpful with regard to ordering and preparing my sub. There's lots of tables inside of various sizes and heights, and plenty of parking outside. The worst part is waiting in anticipation in my car for those darn traffic lights on Route 9 and Old Loudon Rd. to turn green so I can get there! read more

A good option for halal food in Latham. We tried the beef kebab wrap, the grilled chicken bowl and the falafel bowl. I enjoyed the falafel and it tasted fresh. The hummus was blended to a very smooth texture. The portions were small/medium, not oversized like a lot of places. We had a coupon which made the price reasonable. New venue in town. Where once we had no choices, we now have three! SO and I decided to give our newest addition on an evening I didn't feel like cooking. Menu has a lot to offer that is fresh and delicious. You choose the base, the protein and then what you'd like to top your dish. You can get a plate with rice or a wrap stuffed with your choices. I had selected a pita wrap with chucks of marinated chicken. Veggies and white (tzatziki sauce) completed my sandwich. SO got a platter with basically similar add-ons but had gyro meats. Staff were very quick to create the meals. Parking is adequate. My only beef is the lighting. While I like seeing my food, lights were very bright. Will keep this in our rotation. read more

Food and service was wonderful. We met the owner while we were dining- great guy and great chef! We had the sautéed lamb and the chicken gyro. Simply amazing. So flavorful. This place deserves more attention! The service, food, and presentation was excellent. I bought a shawarma wrap and it was delicious. I picked the vegetable toppings, meat, and sauce, and all of them combined were immaculate! I personally believe the shawarma here is more healthy and whole than the shawarma at other places. At other places the shawarma is too salty and oily, here at Marash Grill they properly cook the meat and combine mouthwatering sauces and vegetables. On a whim, I stopped by this afternoon to pick up lunch for my wife and myself to-go. I knew nothing about it other than that it had opened just recently. Hadn't looked at reviews. The gentleman who served me was polite, professional, and very informative about the food. WOW. This food is EXCELLENT. My wife had chicken and rice, and she described the shredded chicken, which has a beautiful light char in spots, as "little nuggets of treasure." And fortunately, the servings are plentiful. The doma was also terrific, with a salt level that was JUST perfect. We will be ordering from them frquently; we consider them a real "find." Cheers! read more

Went to Marash for a friend's birthday lunch today. This is an order at the counter place with maybe eight tables for sitting that opened five or six weeks ago. Nothing fancy at all but the food was delicious and inexpensive. I got a rice bowl with chicken doner (the Turkish equivalent to shawarma) topped with cucumbers, seasoned chopped onions, and tomatoes. I choose shaksuka an appetizer. The rice bowl was lightly topped with his white sauce and hot sauce. My friend ordered a salad with the doner as her protein. The meals were $11.95 each; I believe . Everything was delicious! The pistachio baklava was excellent! Clearly made with butter. Perhaps because we were the only ones there, the owner and chef, was very generous gifting us some tzatziki and hummus. Next time I go, I'll ask him if they are for purchase by themselves to bring home for the next day. The hummus was probably the best I ever had--so creamy! Great food and service. Went with two other friends at 9pm on a Tuesday night and were quickly served. We ordered three bowls, one with falafel, and they said it would be a few minutes since they make the falafel on the spot in the back. Food was flavorful and large portions for $11 each. Beats Chipotle, this is my new favorite Greek/Middle Eastern spot! The inside was clean and felt like a great place to dine - we would have stayed to eat inside if it was not so late in the evening.
