I went there to use their free foot scanning machine. The machine showed that I had been wearing sneakers that were too small and were causing me pain in my bunion. The young guy who worked there was extremely helpful and I tried on some shoes there, but they didn't really have any pickleball sneakers, so I told him I was going to get some on Amazon. He never pressured me to buy anything and was very gracious in letting me use the machine and trying to help me. read more

I went in to look at shoes, waited for what seemed like an eternity before someone working there even acknowledged me, and then left because their inventory of shoes is slim to none. They talk very degrading to their customers. I was trying to ask a question about the fuel cell rebel v5 and the fuel cell super comp. But they did not let me finish the question and jump to the carbon plate. Saying what the carbon plate is for (basically saying tempo and speed runs) not meant for beginners. Which kinda seems like an insult. I asked for a size because I still needed a shoe and the person said "we don't have them" walked away not helping assist with trying to find another shoe. I just hope this can be a lesson and try not to intimidate their customers and you don't improve sales by being rude. read more

I have been buying the same shoes for years ("give me the latest color of Hokas in size 8.5!") but last month I went to Marathon in Mansfield and received exceptional service. Conor didn't let me get away with picking by color ... instead he started with measuring my feet 2 different ways. One manually, and the other by machine. The result was surprising. Conor helped me discover that I have been wearing the wrong size in both length and width. My new Bondi9 (wide) shoes are so comfortable that I hate taking them off at night. My orthopedist referred me to Marathon Sports and salesperson Ryan was so patient and knowledgeable about the products and which sneakers best suited my foot condition- Plantar Fascitis. . After a thorough sizing process he was able to pull the three best sneaker choices for me and I was out of there within an hour. HIghly recommend this location. read more

I wish I could give negative stars for this store. I've shopped at and bought shoes from the Mansfield location before, but my goodness it has gone downhill drastically - like falling off of the highest cliff possible. The two associates in store spewed so much incorrect nonsense about shoes that it blew my mind. I have nearly 20 years of experience working at a now-closed sporting goods company, so I have a decent amount of footwear knowledge. I was told that shoes do not provide any arch support and I could basically put an insole in any shoe to help my flat feet which is so incorrect that it's unbelievable to me. Stability shoes are made to provide stability - hence the name - for flatter feet and overpronation. A simple Google search will bring that info up in seconds, but apparently according to Mansfield Marathon Sports that's incorrect. Also was told that adding a new insole to a shoe doesn't change the fit which is crazy because any insole that you buy is thicker than the cheap one in a shoe, and if it has more arch support it will raise your foot and make the shoe fit differently. I would have thought that was common sense but apparently it is not. Anyone with an actual foot issue should avoid this location AT ALL COSTS. TERRIBLE!!! read more

My challenged son is a solid walker. Brought him in to be fitted for his under pronation. The sneakers he was fitted for, Gel Nimbus 24 seemed to make his feet roll to outter edge more. Of course my unprofessional observation only. Today he showed me his sneaker, as he came down the bedroom stairs the sole of the sneaker tore. I immediately called the store and asked them if they could check to see if I could return them. The girl looked up online and said I was a bit over the 30 day mark so I could not return them. I really believe that sneakers that cost $150 should last a little bit more than "A BIT over the 30 day mark" Now that I know I will find better places to spend my $150 read more

just went to the Mansfield Marathon Sports to buy some sneakers Zero customer service. 4 employees standing around talking and never acknowledged my presence. approached someone asking to try on a pair of sneaker.she brought out a pair I was not interested in then walked away. Nobody else came over to me so I left the store I guess they are not really there to sell sneakers. very disappointed as I really need a new pair of sneaker. will take my business elsewhere. read more

I have driven by the Wellesley Marathon Sports SO many times and have wanted to stop in. Ended up shopping in Mansfield tonight, and saw their was a Marathon Sports in a small plaza on School Street. Couldn't hurt to stop in, and I needed sneakers! The staff here were SO awesome. Specifically, there was both a girl & guy helping at least 5-7 people looking for sneakers.... they were so friendly, efficient and helpful. Ended up they didn't have the sneakers I wanted in the size I needed, but they were so helpful and awesome. I'll have to return and check out the Wellesley location. -1 star for clothing department, it was tiny and didn't have much of anything.... I wonder if other locations offer more. The selection of clothes here seemed depressing. read more

This last visit i had here was not pleasant at all. I walked in with excitement and high-hopes to get new sneakers for my healing foot that finally healed from surgery. The two women working acted as though I was troubling and annoying with all my questions and preferences. It was all of the passive sighs, voice tone, and remarks that validated my feelings here. After 30 minutes of that, I let them know im taking my business elsewhere and walked out. I did indeed leave and go to Dick's sporting goods and bought sneakers there. read more

What a fabulous experience! We showed up the day before my son's required run for karate with shin splints and bad running shoes. The folks here really know their stuff! Half an hour later he had tried on 4 different shoes and had actually run in each one before we selected the best choice. His run was this morning. He beat the required time by 6 minutes and no pain! When I called customer service they told me the item I was trying to purchase was restricted. They could've cared less that restricted items were not listed on their website. BAD customer service!!!!
