Before I begin, please note: if you are used to luxury hotels with lots of amenities and local attractions nearby, this is not your place. It's an older building off the beaten path with teeny-tiny bathrooms and and an even smaller parking lot. Now, on to my review. I called the front desk from Salt Lake City quite late in the evening. I was trying to push through as far as I could, but I knew I only had maybe an hour left in me before I started nodding off at the wheel. I almost pushed the "reserve" button on the Best Western just outside of town, but the cheapskate in me just could not warrant the $100 pricetag. I mean, I stayed at BW in Arizona the night before for HALF that. On to Yelp. I plotted my course and looked for the little pins along the way. I found this one with a pretty solid rating (thanks fellow Yelpers!) and called. The lady who answered was downright kind. I mean, really, really sweet. The price she quoted me was more my speed (uner $50). She had one room left. She told me that she turns in before midnight, but would be willing to wait for me as long as I promised to call if my plans changed. Mdme. GPS took me right to it, and, sure enough, the (very young-looking and beautiful) owner met me at the desk. She checked me right in and told me I got the "fun room" - meaning it had a separate bedroom besides the main room. (Side note - traveling as a group or with kids? Ask for room #9) We swapped a couple of stories. Her darling calico deemed me her newest best-best-best friend (and kept me company as I unpacked my van later). I got me a good, old-fashioned metal key on one of those diamond-shaped plastic jobbies. This amazingly kind woman even moved her own car so I'd have a place to park for the night. The front of the building is like an English garden. Well kept, blooming flowers, and little patio sets adorn the walkways. Enchanting. The room itself is nothing much - though (other than the postage-stamp sized bathroom), they are spacious. I chose to sleep in the bedroom area, as it was DARK and absolutely silent. I mean, sleepy-town zombies are a-coming quiet. Ahhhh.... The room is equipped with a modest flat-screen TV, a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and well-maintained AC unit. The free wifi is easy to hook up to and works great. (Writing this on it now) The beds are quite comfortable. Did I mention how wonderfully quiet it is? The place was full, but you wouldn't know it. I did not hear a neighbor that evening or this morning. In fact, I kind of overslept. I never do that, even at home. One more note: the place is absolutely SPOTLESS. Housekeeping deserves an Olympic gold medal. This weary traveler found it charming. I would absolutely stay here again. read more

Low on my return list. Pros: The room is well kept and clean. The bed is fairly comfortable. The air conditioner/heat pump took the chill off of the main room. The shower had hot water. The laundromat is across the street-not that we needed it. Cons: The windows don't lock in the main room or the small bedroom. It appears a prior guest used the coat hangers between the sills to make it more difficult to break in. The shower is approx. 30"x40" (1/4 of the bathroom). My husband decided not to attempt it. No bathroom fan or heat. The bathroom floor felt like ice. There is no counter or even much of a sink rim to set things. There is one outlet in the bathroom, the only place there is a mirror. Unfortunately I didn't find it until we were ready to leave. The guest in the room next to us left the TV on all night...yes we could hear it! Room rate was $70 with the discount. read more

My first and only Yelp review... just felt that this humble sweet little place deserves some attention. I was headed south from Yellowstone. I read a couple reviews for this place, tried it and was very pleased. The outside is nothing special but the room is so clean, cozy and well put-together. Newer (or simply well-cared for) carpet, bathroom, flat screen, and more. There was also a little lounge area with a mini fridge, coffee maker, and a futon (could serve as extra bed). And the cost was seriously HALF of what you would pay at a crappy Days Inn, Best Western, La Quinta, whatever. Loved it! read more

Great value, wonderfully quaint, and the most comfortable hotel need I've ever slept on. There aren't any extras at this cute vintage motel, but a good night's sleep is worth just about any inconvenience I can imagine. The owner is delightful and quick to answer any request. The place is old, so don't look for awesome water pressure or silent air conditioning, but it's clean, the carpet is soft and comfortable, and the room stays warm on cold winter nights. If we ever need a place to stay in the area, this will be our first choice. read more

This review is based off of an experience I had in mid August 2016. 5/5 because the price would lead you to think it'd be way worse. Both the interior and exterior are nicer than the current two pictures depicted. Amazing improvements through renovations have been, and are continuing to be made. Staff was great. Let them know I may be later than expected. They told me just to let them know and they'd leave the keys out for me. Room itself was a decent size. Nice bathroom with a standup shower. Mini fridge, table, seats, large queen sized bed (different rooms differ) and a new flatscreen TV on the wall with more channels than I've ever had at my own home. Microwave as well, lamps, large closet. The works. This little motel is definitely a gem tucked away in what a city slicker like me might refer to as the middle of nowhere. But in actuality, the town itself is a very nice place with very nice scenery and nature surrounding. Not a far commute to SLC. If you need a once over spot whilst traveling, you'd be doing yourself a disservice to not be staying here. If I ever happen to be in northern Utah again for the night, I know where to call first. read more

Two nights ago i stayed in Blanding UT, that motel was $64 w FULL kitchenette, coffee, beautiful decor, hair drier, etc and had brunch! Then i stayed at the Marble which was $70, NO coffee maker, zero decor (it was clean), tiny bath, NO brunch, and i could not find a place open to get any breakfast, of the one option for any breakfast. Very few choices for any place to eat. It was comfortable in terms of bed etc No way this place is worth $70, maybe 55. i will never stay at the Marble given their price. read more

This is a cute little motel. Very friendly staff. Good wifi connection. I can see that they've put lots of work into remodeling, but it's got a ways to go. Our bed was comfy, but there was no furniture in our room to put luggage on or to use as a workspace, aside from the small bedside table and refrigerator! Not even a luggage rack. As such, we had to spread our belongings on the floor. Kinda frustrating. Also, their water would not warm to a temperature that would allow for a shower! Yikes!! If the owners would invest just a bit more money, this could be a top notch little getaway! read more

The front desk night clerk was super pleasant over the phone and upon a late 1am arrival. Awesome considering most are grumpy. This younger gentleman, Trevor, was very accommodating. Great room, amenities, and clean at a super fair price. Would choose this over the local Motel 6 anytime, as they truly left the light on. read more

One of the best motels I have ever stayed in and by far the best value. We stayed here in a bicycle ride and the manager even offered to take us to the nearby pools with her. Very clean and well appointed rooms and a separate bedroom included. Nice quaint small town as well. Would stay again. read more

I honestly don't know how this place got such good ratings. It reminded me of the bates Motel from psycho. It's run down and looks like a a crime scene. The faucet was leaking. There actually was a bucket underneath it to catch the water dripping but the floor was still soaked. The doors are scratched to h-e double hockey stick. The heater was broke. The light was shining through the windows at night with no cover ups. Tiny TV. Gross gross. read more

Well recommended. But it's closed all afternoon so if you arrive early you can't get in. We went to the western motel which was nice.

Small-town Utah lodging at its best. The front desk stayed open 15 minutes past closing time so I could check in. Extremely friendly, very clean rooms. The room I got had a truly vast master bed on a wonderful old-school wooden frame, along with a separate room (closeable doors!) for a child or teenager. Pricing was very reasonable too given the quality of the room. I will absolutely stay here again! read more
