    Cockroach

4 am Found cockroach. 10 am go to front desk to get refund for following night and report the bug. Owner Manav says why didn't we call last night to switch rooms. I say we didn't notice till 4am. He offers new blanket and new room $10 off. I say no I will call bank for refund. Bonni says they can refund following day (today) and does so. Manager was rude and blamed employee and myself instead of taking accountability.

Cute little place, a little off the highway.

What a great little surprise to find this gem off the beaten path! The service checking in was fast, and the gentlemen was kind and professional. I wasn't really expecting much based on the older exterior and size of the place, so I was pleasantly surprised when we walked into a fully updated room. The room was clean and the floors literally sparkled. The shower had low pressure, but did the trick. The only complaint was with the generic motel 6 soaps. I think they would've done better to go with a more natural, less harsh product to match the decor. I would stay here again and definitely recommend it to friends passing through Utah.

HOWEVER, check out just a short jaunt down the road and you have this amazing place called The Grille and a great coffee stand for the morning before rolling out of town. We were originally going to stay at a more commonly known place that also had good reviews, but they were full. I came to yelp and found this place. It is an older building so don't expect a suite. However, it has a nice western theme to it. The hospitality is great! Front desk was very helpful and friendly. The room itself, a king sized pet friendly room, had perfect and CLEAN floors and was large! There were TWO arm chairs in the room and a comfy bed. Fridge, microwaves... pretty much what you need. The vanity area was pretty small thats why I took a picture but it worked. Shower and toilet room were kinda small as well but they did the trick. I wasn't expecting a spa and it was not, but it was extremely comfortable. They serve breakfast in the morning but I didn't experience it we needed to head out. Check this out if you are in the area. Reasonably priced as well and we did not have a reservation.

It's an older building off the beaten path with teeny-tiny bathrooms and and an even smaller parking lot. Now, on to my review. I called the front desk from Salt Lake City quite late in the evening. I was trying to push through as far as I could, but I knew I only had maybe an hour left in me before I started nodding off at the wheel. I almost pushed the "reserve" button on the Best Western just outside of town, but the cheapskate in me just could not warrant the $100 pricetag. I mean, I stayed at BW in Arizona the night before for HALF that. On to Yelp. I plotted my course and looked for the little pins along the way. I found this one with a pretty solid rating (thanks fellow Yelpers!) and called. The lady who answered was downright kind. I mean, really, really sweet. The price she quoted me was more my speed (uner $50). She had one room left. She told me that she turns in before midnight, but would be willing to wait for me as long as I promised to call if my plans changed. Mdme. GPS took me right to it, and, sure enough, the (very young-looking and beautiful) owner met me at the desk. She checked me right in and told me I got the "fun room" - meaning it had a separate bedroom besides the main room. (Side note - traveling as a group or with kids? Ask for room #9) We swapped a couple of stories. Her darling calico deemed me her newest best-best-best friend (and kept me company as I unpacked my van later). I got me a good, old-fashioned metal key on one of those diamond-shaped plastic jobbies. This amazingly kind woman even moved her own car so I'd have a place to park for the night. The front of the building is like an English garden. Well kept, blooming flowers, and little patio sets adorn the walkways. Enchanting. The room itself is nothing much - though (other than the postage-stamp sized bathroom), they are spacious. I chose to sleep in the bedroom area, as it was DARK and absolutely silent. I mean, sleepy-town zombies are a-coming quiet. Ahhhh.... The room is equipped with a modest flat-screen TV, a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and well-maintained AC unit. The free wifi is easy to hook up to and works great. (Writing this on it now) The beds are quite comfortable. Did I mention how wonderfully quiet it is? The place was full, but you wouldn't know it. I did not hear a neighbor that evening or this morning. In fact, I kind of overslept. I never do that, even at home. One more note: the place is absolutely SPOTLESS. Housekeeping deserves an Olympic gold medal. This weary traveler found it charming. I would absolutely stay here again.

The location is terrific, right off the main street and surrounded by several eatery options. There's a river that runs through the property and has a nice walking trail too. The mature trees and landscape seal the deal for me. The room was super comfortable and I kind of liked how the bathroom was actually two spaces-one for the toilet and sink and another room for the shower and counter. It helps when you have more than one guest in the room and they can each take care of different business at the same time. Breakfast was modest but respectable. Everything we encountered was clean and well maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The wheelchair-friendly room was quiet, but it had issues:…read moreDesign: slippery bathtub with no anti slip mat, a long room with no natural light in the seating area, and bathroom doors intended for wheelchair users that have previously locked guests in the bathroom. Maintenance: blown light bulbs in the fridge and microwave. There is a small gap between the sliding windows allowing a little road noise. Also, the windows cannot be locked. Accident: on our first night, lightning struck the hotel! It took out one elevator, the Wi-Fi on our floor, and apparently some other equipment. Not the fault of the hotel but it did change our experience! The team did the best they could. Apparently, the hotel was built in 2008 and will be renovated in 2025. As part of the renovation, hotel management should assess whether it needs to install a lightning rod to reduce the damage from future lightning strikes. And to choose nonslip bathtubs.

We stayed in both the Safari suite (don't recommend due to it's proximity to the main area, unless it's going to be a quiet night at the Inn) and the Nautical family suite. Both were very comfortable, modern and decorated nicely for the theme. Each had a fireplace and large screen TV with DVD player. There is also a game room, and a decent selection of free DVD's and books to borrow; as well as a couple of common areas with sofas, fireplace and big screen TV. The chef, Brittany was a big surprise for such a small city . Can't say enough about the food in Kersama Restaurant, so I'll just say everything we had over the course of the two night stay was excellent. Her husband Jesse worked well with her and served as the bartender and waiter, provided great service. Carol, one of the owners, was the perfect hostess. We had one slight glitch, and it was rectified immediately with no question. She was like a personal tour guide, suggesting where to go and what to do.
