Trip to the candy shoppe (what I "thought" I was getting)!

Marble Slab has been my go to for years; but after my second failed ice cream cake, I'm done. There are 5 images here: the first is website only (what I ordered); looks fun, right? Images 2 & 3 are what they actually served/sold to me. I can't even believe they would serve this. I'm still damaged by my previous experience where they served me the same cake not frozen, actually melting, so I requested this be ready the night before party. I'm so glad I gave myself time because I had to run to the store for bags of lollipops, gummy bears and worms. It now looks decent, but not worth the work.

The ice cream and brownies are all homemade, which I love that concept. Sadly, it was a bit disappointing. The staff was not friendly and the women helping us was taking a long time to get our order together. My friend wanted to try a flavor but it was so hard the employee could not even scoop anything up with the plastic spoon. The vanilla and brownie ice cream was good. The chocolate ice cream was ok. The strawberry milkshake was very watery, yuck!! We won't be back.

This is some of the best ice cream I've ever had! I had the birthday cake Ice cream with Oreos in a white chocolate waffle bowl and it was amazing. Can't wait to go back.

We ordered cookie cream majestic milkshake and classic sundae, even though the majestic milkshakes are a bit hassle to make but they still make it to perfection.

Chocolate amaretto ice cream with maraschino cherries, brownie & caramel! Yum

I love ice cream- I mean, who doesn't? Marble slab entices you with plenty of ice cream flavors and then any mix-ins you can think of! I choose chocolate amaretto ice cream with cherries, caramel & brownie and hubby ordered some cake batter monstrosity. He is an ice cream fiend! Service was great and delivered with a smile- but the ice cream is already melting before it makes it to the cone! That's where the stars were lost honestly. Even with the marshmallow trick in the bottom of the cone- to slow leakage- it was coming out the bottom of the cone right away. That did prompt hubby to say- oh that's right- I am not a fan of marble slab :/ That being said- we both enjoyed our ice cream cones even though they were drippy!

Nice little spot to enjoy some ice cream and sit out on their picnic tables by the parking lot. I make emphasis on the parking lot because the other ice cream shop on Hendrix does not have one which makes it less appealing. We were here late at night when they were about to close but the employees were nice and let us have what we wanted after our dinner. I had a traditional sundae and my wife went for double chocolate everything, hahahah. Lots of flavors to chose from . Definitely recommend this place.

Ice cream here is pretty good and the kids that work here are fairly friendly. The inside is quite tiny there are only a few tables to sit at. It was clean inside. Well the ice cream is good, The mix ins are pretty standard. They have this deal we're basically you buy one size of ice cream and you can put as many mix ins into it as you want. One shake and one regular size Sundae with Mix ins was $16, which makes this place on the high side for an ice cream shop. This place is good for a once a year visit but probably not something I would go to all the time.

Dear Marble Slab, Please train your employees to make limited edition items. I visited your store today for the Mystic Charcoal shake and the employee stated that she didn't know how to make it. Wrong Answer!! So I settled for a cone that ended up flat and pressed. The sad part is it set me back 9 bucks!! I should have just let the employee wing it for the shake that was priced at 10 bucks. What a waste of time and money. Please do better!!

Ice cream was as hard as rock and had serious freezer burn. It just didn't taste fresh. Bummer.

My wife and I stopped by on a Saturday for a tour of the candy making facility, where we learned a lot about how the chocolates and other candies are made, and we were even able to design and enjoy our own custom chocolate bar. This place has everything that a fan of sweets and fun can enjoy - retro candy, a colorful environment, and enthusiastic staff. From our tour with Joy, our complimentary sea salt caramel from Barbara, everybody on staff provided a joyous afternoon. The tour is highly recommended, where you'll get to see how the product is made, and even get to see one of the original Golden tickets from the original Wonka movie. Pricing for the tour is very reasonable, and it's a great way to spend an afternoon. Parking was easy right around the corner from the front entrance. The owners family has been in the candy business for years and he still works there everyday, that's awesome! :)) I'm glad we checked it out. Thank you Sweet Petes! You can trust me, I am a candy eating American. ;D

The old fire station transformed into a jewel box of deliciousness and fun. Then the secret ingredient, mentioned by many, how could you overlook it... the owner here, Mari, is a treasure. Not surprising that Mari was a nurse for many years. She cares for her customers in the same way a good nurse would, doing whatever it takes to make sure we're well cared for. When we arrived, she opened the cool little window and knew we hadn't been here before. It's obvious from watching the people coming in that she knows ALL of her customers... even remembering what they order too! She said, "Give me a second, I'm coming around to explain the menu." In a flash, she was out front, explaining the menu, how they created some of the specials, even offering a taste of a few things she said we had to try. What's going on? Is she for real? Can she be this dedicated? I was in awe of her kindness, caring, generosity and passion for what she is doing. No doubt she must have been an amazing nurse! Oh yeah, the ice cream. Fantastic! Delicious!! This must be what heaven is like.

I've visited several times now, and I'd rank it as my second favorite location, right behind Hendrix Avenue. I've tried the Neapolitan swirl and the chocolate-vanilla swirl, and while the vanilla is really solid, the chocolate doesn't quite do it for me. The strawberry leaned a little artificial in flavor, so not my personal favorite there either. However, my wife absolutely loves their non-dairy Dole Pineapple, so there are definitely wins depending on what you like. Beyond the ice cream itself, I really love the decor and overall vibe of this location. It's bright, fun, welcoming, and has that nostalgic ice cream stand charm. The service is always friendly, which makes every visit feel like a treat in more ways than one. Overall, this is a great spot to satisfy a sweet tooth, and I'd definitely stop in again whenever I'm in the area. If you're a soft-serve fan, it's worth the visit!l
