Grand Opening on April 10th! I visited the Orlando location about 2.3 years ago and was thoroughly impressed by their soft serve. I was thrilled to learn that they're now expanding to Jacksonville! Since I frequently drive around here, this will undoubtedly become my go to ice cream shop. ( I LOVE soft serve) They offer a wide range of soft serve flavors, and you can even add a crispy cone. (They don't have regular sugar cones or waffle cones, so you can opt for a cup if you prefer not to have the cone pastry.) The pastry cone could be more crispy, but perhaps they're still learning about making the cone. The price maybe little pricy for a soft serve cup ( about $9) but you should at least try once... Wish it's more reasonable. Soft serve is not overly sweet and I really enjoyed it! Service wasn't the best, but they did their best on the chaotic soft opening day. The girls looked overwhelmed on the first day, but I am sure they will get used to it. Because they were so busy, the store wasn't in the best condition, but I totally understand that they can't keep up with many customers. The ambience is nice and all the young girls will love the place for sure. The location is hidden and not easy to find... I hope they stay there for a long time. read more

Had to see what the hype was - but had to wait til it died down lol. It was pretty decent. And holy moly it was SO MUCH ice cream. I got the cocoa berry which was Nutella spread, chocolate syrup, and strawberries. I am appreciative of the amount of ice cream, esp in this time of skimping and overcharging. But I barely had room in my belly to enjoy the cone. Lol so you've been warned! Enjoy! read more

Crispy Cones recently opened near my son & DIL, and they were excited to take us after dinner on Saturday evening. Parking was easy, but inside was packed! People were waiting on the sidewalk outside and also lined up 2 & 3 bodies deep along the wall facing the production line, waiting for their cones, but there was no wait to order at one of the 2 kiosks at the far end of the counter. After a couple of indecisive moments, I finally chose the Cocoa Berry cone. This one used their traditional cone, which is hand-rolled & grilled, then rolled in cinnamon & sugar. The inside was coated in Nutella spread, filled with soft-serve vanilla ice cream, studded with strawberry slices, & drizzled in Nutella sauce. The combination was fantastic, and their ice cream was so delicious. But then the cone... WOW. Warm & soft, with a bit of crispy baked crust - very much like a churro. It was SO GOOD! Hubs & I shared the one cone, which was a good choice for us because it was rather rather substantial. My DIL got the same one as me & loved hers as well. My son ordered the Cookie à la Mode cone & loved it, too. This part of the plaza has an outside area like an open patio with several tables & chairs for eating outside, and 2 or 3 of those tables also had umbrellas. Inside, I only saw a couple of tables, and a few bar seats, but with so many people waiting, I may have missed some seating. Staff was very friendly, even though it was obvious many were still learning the builds. Our wait wasn't egregious, maybe 20 minutes, which we anticipated when deciding to park. We'll definitely return when we're in Jacksonville again! read more

I have never heard of Crispy Cones but they had just moved into the Durbin Pavilion right by us and after dinner Ashley and were Mom wanted to check it out. Let me tell you people have for sure heard about this place cause when we pulled up on a Wednesday it was packed. The line was pretty much out the door. We asked what makes the cones "Crispy Cones" and we were told they were basically Churros.... Well now I'm interested. After looking over the menu I decided to get the Luxe Candy Bar Cone. For sure fell victim to the fact that it was one of the "This Week Only!" options plus it was right up by alley being covered with Caramel Sauce, Heath Bar, Reese's Cups, Salted Caramel & PB Ice Cream, and the cone stuffed with Peanut Butter Spread.... Yeah, I know it's a lot. The owners were very helpful with going over how to order. Once ordered the cones came out pretty quickly and they are large and also messy haha. Don't eat them in the car. The ice cream was good and each cone did have plenty of toppings. I well say for sure one of the better "Cones" I have had but I wouldn't say it was super crispy, more like chewy cones. I will say they are are a lot. I see myself coming back but for sure not after a heavy dinner and would probably just share one. read more

What a fun concept! We stopped by tonight for a tasty dessert and that is exactly what we got! There was a pretty long line however it moved very quickly, and we were able to order on the tablets and get our food probably all within 15 minutes. The staff was all super friendly and very helpful when trying to navigate the menu. The ice cream was tasty and the churro cone was a nice spin on a classic dessert! I ordered the strawberry cheesecake cone. It was vanilla based ice cream with strawberries and chunks of cheesecake throughout and a strawberry drizzle on top. It was very delicious. I will say, though it is a very filling dessert and definitely not something I can get every day of the week. But it is a great option for a tasty treat occasionally! read more

Everyone was friendly. I got there as it was getting busy, but it didn't take long to get my cone. I had a strawberry mango cone that was the flavor of the week. I do like they have different flavor combos. The place was bright and it was cool seeing how they make the cones. There is a lot of ice cream places in the area, but nothing quite like Crispy Cones. I found out it's a franchise out of Orlando that mixes pastries and ice cream together. I was curious to try it out after a pedicure in the Durbin Town Center. The Porsche wrapped with Crispy Cone's logo outside caught my eye. When I walked in, I was the first customer in there. One of the women welcomed me and explained how to use the kiosk to order. I chose the newest creation, the Strawberry Pie. It comes with a biscoff cone, cookie butter, strawberry ice cream, strawberries, biscoff cookies, and cookie butter drizzle. They take the time to create it and make sure every ingredient is put into it that comes with the order. When I told them thank you for the order, the workers and the owner smiled big smiles at me and thanked me. It was a warm day, so I started eating in the car. There was plenty of sweet strawberry ice cream, creamy and smooth. The cookies were crunch. The biscoff cone has biscoff smeared on the inside of it with cookie butter in the bottom. I took my time enjoying it but tried to eat it quickly. It is $8 for it, but it is a work of art. read more

Improvements are definitely needed! The come was ok, not great but not horrible. The ice cream was ok but the way the toppings are shoved into the soft serve that is served in a far too small cup is a joke. Two of my strawberries fell off seconds upon it being handed to me before I had a chance to try it. For that same reason there aren't enough of the toppings especially for the price. And what type of ice cream place doesn't have hot fudge?! Serve our product in an appropriatly sized container so what we pay for can actually be eaten rather than hitting the floor and so we aren't covered in ice cream due to it melting and dripping before it can be reasonably consumed! read more

NOTHING special! over priced for under cooked dough, and basic soft served ice cream. The counters were extremely dirty, cones dropped on the counter and still used. Was not impressed with 4 tiny slices of a strawberry, or candy placed on the sides of the soft served ice cream. Better off going to Whit's for custard that is better and less expensive. Will not be back for a $9.00 item for something I can get at DQ. read more
