Mind you I have been going to this Menchies since I was a little kid; maybe since I was 5-6 years old. One employee (young woman with white skin and light brunette hair, evening shift) immediately came at me with attitude and said, "Yeah, if you do that we are going to have to kick you out." Completely unnecessary. We were paying customers, not people trying to get free samples and leave. From that point on, she stared us down the entire 15-20 minutes we were there like we were doing something wrong. Every single one of us bought something, and she still kept giving us dirty looks--even while we were sitting there eating what we PAID for. Checkout was even worse. She wouldn't look at me for even a second. It was like making eye contact would physically hurt her. She rushed the whole transaction like I was some inconvenience instead of a customer. When we tried to get her name (because this review is about HER, not Menchie's--we actually like the place), she suddenly became impossible to catch. Turning away, avoiding us, basically acting like her name tag was top secret or sacred to her. She asked for a tip, and I'll give her one: fix the attitude. Especially toward younger customers like me and my cousins. Again, this isn't about Menchie's itself, we like the store. This is about one employee who made the entire experience uncomfortable and unnecessarily hostile.

I ordered the Cookie Monster, which was some blue ice cream with blended chunks of stuff. The blended chunks of stuff was good even though the actual ice cream was icy like freezer burn. On the way out, I'll let them know that it tasted freezer burned, and they said, OK . I probably should've brought it back up to the counter, but they were super busy and it tasted OK... (The mini-waffle cones were dipped in chocolate, and they tasted very fresh and delicious! I decided to let them know on the way out because I realized that six dollar cone should be better than that. (I had a feeling this may happen when I saw all the way they keep the ice cream from view, hard to know what's at the bottom of the barrel that way).
