I now preorder on the app so my ice cream is ready for me by the time I arrive, making it more convenient to slip by for ice cream between errands I came on a weekday evening but it was quiet as usual. Staff were friendly, they were pretty generous with mix ins, and the ice cream tasted fresh. I was in and out in less than 5 mins, so that's was fantastic. I like the new cake mix ins as they were a really nice flavour boost to the birthday cake ice cream. Also nice to see some more variety in the base ice cream flavors. Our favourite ice cream place. Well, except for cold stone, but they only exist in Scarborough these days. We often get takeout pints or the pre-made ones, but less so now because we figured out the very best combination of ice cream. Let's start with the people, they are always friendly. Even when you're popping in 15 minutes before close (and as someone who works retail, we hate that, so, so much), but they're still genuinely happy, but maybe that's what happens when you work with ice cream all the time. You're just permanently happy. The ice cream! While it's not Haagen-Dazs, it's closer to Ben & Jerrys, especially if you're someone who likes stuff mixed in to your ice cream. We've sampled most of the flavours here and the only one that disappointed me was the coffee and that's because most coffee ice creams disappoint me. The only one that I've enjoyed is from cold stone. Or Archtop Cafe's soft serve with espresso. Everything else has been fantastic. Right on to our favourite combination of all time, we call it the Kinder (like the egg). Cheesecake and Nutella, no mix-ins. It tastes just like the egg or a kinder bueno. You have to try it at least once. If you do like coffee ice cream and you're ok with a dull coffee flavour, Then try mixing it with the double dark chocolate, it's a nice mocha that's heavy on the dark chocolate. The tables were all occupied and there was a short line. I only chose to go to Marble Slab after I received their coupon pamphlet in the mail. We redeemed the two ice cream sandwiches for $8. These sandwiches are already pre-made so you can't choose any flavour you want. However, there are eight flavours to choose from, such as: cotton candy, red velvet, vanilla, chocolate, and cool mint. We opted for the cotton candy and vanilla sandwiches. The ice cream tasted great but there was too much cookie for us. Marble slab is a great place to indulge your ice cream craving and also for a special occasion cake. For my brother's birthday I decided to order a custom cake. You can go online and order a variety of suggested cakes (chocolate swiss ice cream with nestle crunch, Reese's peanut butter cups and fudge for example). By the way, this combination is an excellent one if you want to take a litre home and costs $13.95...I know because I asked for it...on the same day I picked up the cake! Can you tell I love ice cream? Ok back to the cake. I decided to order a small cake (easily feeds 6 people who love ice cream!). The ice cream was "chocolate birthday cake ice cream" and the mixins were skor, chocolate chip cookie dough and fudge. I also requested some writing on the cake, and to double my mixins for an additional cost. In the special requests I also asked the top of the cake to be drizzled with fudge and skor bits. I then requested to pick up the cake at 5pm. All of this is done online. I then received a personal email from the store saying they looked forward to seeing me Saturday and a confirmation of my order...Nice touch. Without double mixins the cost would be $27.95. Only a few bucks extra to double them. Please note that you do need to order the cake 48 hours ahead of time. When I picked up the cake I noted that the writing on the cake was in a different colour than I had requested online. Strange but no biggie. We dug into the cake and the chocolate birthday cake ice cream was so delicious! However, as we kept eating we realized there were NO mixins. None...strange...especially as I had requested double mixins. I emailed the store and Mohamed was very prompt into looking into what happened. I got a call that evening. They acknowledged their mistake and have told me I can get 50% off my next cake and free double mixins. I had no idea that they had a discount for yelp members! Good to know... They remembered me!! woot woot. I came in and decided to try the ice cream instead of the Yogurt. Order: 1 small cup of: $4.49 chocolate yogurt and cookie dough mixed in. - not bad. Too much chocolate for my liking. 1 med cup of: $6.08 1 scoop of Cheesecake ice cream 1 scoop of Coffee ice cream mixed in : Cookie dough , coffee crisp Verdict= FANTASTICAL!!! yumm. Perfect for espresso/capuccino lovers. = $11.94 fun fact: I had to drive back to work while both were placed on my passenger seat. Funnily enough the Yogurt was perfectly fine when I got back to work. The ice cream however, was a bit melted on the top. The drive was for 12min. The concoction that came out was the most wonderful thing I've ever tasted. Loved it so much that I took their huge ice cream sandwiches to go - red velvet and cotton candy. They ran out of the white chocolate flavor for the sandwiches. I wanted to try the flavor anyway, so they gave me a spoonful. I have to admit, it's a tough choice between the red velvet and white chocolate now. Ahhh.. cannot wait to go back! Sadly, Cold Stone closed down. I really hope Marble Slab never does. My brother who is visiting from Australia is a HUGE cold stone creamery fan. After the very saddening Closure of Cold Stone Creamery, we set out on an ice-cream expedition. Enter Marble Slab Creamery--the long lost brother of Cold Stone (at least I wasn't aware of it's existence). The concept is exactly the same...you choose an ice-cream base and then add UNLIMITED (unlike Cold Stone) mix-ins. The result? My brother and I are ADDICTED! The ice cream is amazing!! And the fact that you can add UNLIMITED mix-ins is phenomenal! Love it!! I tried the "Island Breeze" (strawberry banana) smoothie, which was also amazing!! The only complaint I have is that the cookie dough could be better (yes, I'm a huge cookie dough fan). Also, on one occasion the chocolate toppings we got (snickers and kit-kat) were not as fresh. The associates and service is phenomenal! And the 25% off Yelpers get is a sweet offer. :) But overall the place is a must try, especially if you loved Cold Stone!! I absolutely love this place for their Lactose Free Yogurts, it actually taste like REAL Ice cream, IT IS NOT LIKE FROZ YOG or what ever its called at the malls or the movies my wife tried their Ice cream and she was impressed as well they have 2 free topping to add to your ice cream or yogurt, they carry ice cream cakes and tubs of ice cream in their freezer and at least 20 or more flavors of ice cream and frozen yogurt I love this place PS. Let me start off by saying I LOVE ICE CREAM (and the concept of marble slab for that matter). Im super happy there is a marble slab nearby. So you go there, pick your size, pick a premade recipe or pick your own base icecream flavor and add in mix ins. I love cake batter with Oreos and fudge and sprinkles but I love that I can switch it up based on my mood. It is a little on the pricier end of icecream ($8 on average). Only downside to this location is that when I went last week they had very few options But it was closer to the end of the night. Will be back (prob too often) read more

Came to the heartland centre store as i was craving for ice cream. The store in Milton is superb and hence thought the Mississauga one won't disappoint either. Wrong! Right from the start the lady behind the counter was not interested. They have really only the basic flavours of ice cream. I chose chocolate swiss n strawberry mix. The ice cream was melting. She did a half hearted job of combining the ice cream together along with my choice of toppings. In 2 seconds she put it randomly on the cone and gave it to me. Marble slab heartland store screwed up my cake twice last year. I told myself not to come back again but they do a good job on cakes! I was craving for icecream and decided to give them another try this time. The girl who helped me were super nice. I wanted a customized cake, it was supposed to book 48 hours in advance, I wanted in 30hours. She really tried for me! She has already made the icecream for next day but made extra effort to make mine for me to catch up my anniversary celebration. And the cake she made was very delicious! First thing I noticed when I walked in was that it was very dirty. Garbage on the floor and floors were sticky. Second, my husband ordered a banana split and the lady said that he could only choose 2 flavours. It clearly states on the website "choose any 3 flavours" Third, I wanted a strawberry shortcake and I asked for the white chocolate raspberry flavour. The lady then said I cannot have a "combination flavour" that I had choose a A plain flavour. Again, on the website it states to choose any flavour I want. Disclaimer - maybe their "gourmet creations" are supposed to be a shitty product. If so I'll chalk my experience up to that and ask that you don't invest $9 into it. I have a feeling though that it was the service. My husband and I walked in and ordered a strawberry shortcake - from their gourmet creations menu. The guy who we were unfortunate enough to be served by (glasses) took pre made shortcake, topped it up with vanilla ice cream and strawberries. It was dripping all over the floor so he decided to double cup it...... I asked him if it could be mixed - you know on the marble slab - the point of the place - and he said no....... We got a small Swiss Choco scope with one waffle. It is TERRIBLE that i feel the need to review here on Yelp. The ice cream is not cold enough, not considering it comes like a mess. If I could give this store less than one star I would. NEVER GOING TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN. I've often gone to this Marble Slab and have always had great experiences. Recently, I believe it has taken new management and the service has gone down the drain. Upon entering the store there was a line out the door and the employees were moving like SNAILS. They also weren't wearing the fun uniforms that you would normally seen in the store, making it lack in the fun atmosphere. The floors and countertops were also extremely dirty. After 15 minutes of waiting I arrive to the counter and discover there is 4 flavors. My sister asked for the lactose free vanilla and they responded rudely asking "if they even had that?". Moving on to the mix-in section, (being already put off by their rude attitudes) they told me I wasn't allowed to have the mix-ins I requested because they were out. (One of the gummi mix-ins I was given was even stale before it was put in the ice cream) When I asked for a cone they told me they were out and they asked to give me the chocolate dipped version. I replied asking if this would be more money and they looked at me like I was stupid saying yes. I believe that if they are out of the regular they should give away the next cone style at some type of discount. When I responded just a cup would be fine they asked me multiple times what I wanted repeating the same questions. As the rest of my family moved throughout the line one of the only two men working decided he needed to take a break and started sweeping and mopping the floor. (The line was still out the door). Once he finished his "cleaning" he aggressively drank water and then didn't wash him hands continuing to scoop ice cream. I would never abandon marble slab but I'm definitely never going to this location again. There was no signage saying they were out of certain items leaving me to feel let down when I got to the area. Last night after dinner, my family and I came to Marble Slab for dessert. Out of 8 of us, 5 of us ordered ice cream. To start off, every flavor we asked for a sample, it was not available. Second, my husband ordered the smores in a cup, and 2 minutes after receiving it, it looked like it came out of an un-refrigerated store with no AC. The entire cup was melting. This was no "smores", this was melted chocolate ice cream with marshmallows hidden in the bottom. I showed the young girl working behind the counter.No logical explanation, except that there's no chemicals and the ice cream is made fresh hence why it melts? The actual answer is that she didn't mix or 'slab' the ice cream mixture enough when preparing, and threw it in a cone/cup, hence why it melted right away. When I said my husband doesn't want it, she said "I can't give you a refund, but I can make you another one" I said ok make me another one, she said "but I'll have to charge you for it". What kind of customer service is this? The customer is explicitly showing you AND telling you they are not happy with their order and showing you why, and you tell them there's nothing you can do basically. I have frequented many different locations in the past, and this location along with the customer service was the worst. read more

A different approach to Icecream. Pick any flavors and toppings you want where they then slap it onto a board and mix it up into ooey gooey goodness. My fave flavors would have to be Birthday Cake, Red Velevet, White Chocolate OR the Strawberry Shortcake. Very generous size, I always end up sharing or not finishing it all. read more
