I opted for the pistachio and super cookie (biscoff/Oreo) flavours. Outright the portion size is amazing. They pack the cup full and do not hold back. A regular scoop is enough and it's nice you can pick 2 flavours to get some more variety. In terms of flavor, I liked the pistachio as it leaned more towards a subtle and fragrant flavour. The gelato was super creamy and the sweetness was toned down. The super cookie flavour had more pieces and bits in it, so it was more interesting in texture but not as unique in flavour. Also leaned a little more sweet, and was highly similar to a cookies and cream ice cream. But quality was solid for both and the gelato was fresh. Bonus that their points system is easy to use as well - just punching in a phone # Compared to regular ice cream stores, you get better value and quality here. For the same price range, they pack the cup full and most importantly, the flavors are unique. I'm a big fan of uncommon flavours so I liked how bold some of the options were, while others echoed familiar favourites, so there's easily some options for everyone. Location is fantastic too, close to streetsville and Erin Mills, and in a plaza that is 99% food. Lots of plaza parking and easy to access. With a wide variety of flavours and top-tier quality, this is easily one of the best gelato places I've ever been to and hands down the best in Mississauga. I tried the Double Biscoff and Pistachio flavours, and they were incredible. You can get one scoop with two flavours, which is perfect if you're torn between options. The Double Biscoff was rich and a little on the sweeter side, with chunks of Biscoff cookie folded right in. The Pistachio was less sweet, beautifully nutty, and had real pistachio pieces throughout. The two balanced each other perfectly. The service was excellent, quick, friendly, and efficient. They also let you sample up to two flavours, which is great if you're having trouble deciding (and trust me, with so many delicious options, you probably will). Beyond gelato scoops, the shop also offers pints to take home, soft serve, gelato cakes, gelato pies, and coffee, which you can pair with soft serve for a delicious affogato. It's clear they've put a lot of care into offering something for everyone. The shop itself isn't very big, but there are a few seats inside and outside. It's located in a plaza with lots of parking and plenty of nearby food spots, so it's a perfect stop after lunch or dinner. On a hot summer day, this place really hits the spot. They also have locations in downtown Toronto, but this is convenient location for those that don't want to travel downtown. Finally tried Nani's after hearing much praise! The space is small, with minimal seating. The picnic table outside was a bit dirty and wobbly, making it not the best experience. Service was great though! Experienced and helpful staff that day. BUT the gelato was fantastic! My 2 friends and I tried the Mojito Sorbetto (SUPER light, citrus-y, and refreshing), and the Saffron Cardamom Kulfi (rich and so flavourful). Can't wait to try more next time! read more

It truly breaks my heart to write this update, since I've been a fan of Nani's since before he opened his first brick-and-mortar location. Back in the day, Nani's Gelato offered up some of the finest gelato in the city, and in flavors that you couldn't find anywhere else. But I'd heard rumblings lately that the quality of the product had plummeted in recent months, most likely due to the company's rapid expansion (i.e. there seems to be no quality control anymore). I was worried but also not convinced that there was anything wrong. How could there be? It's Nani's! Unfortunately I was in for a rude awakening. Very rude. I showed up on a recent Saturday and decided to grab a cup with two promising-sounding flavors, B.C. Blueberry Crumble and Ovaltine. The first thing I noticed was the texture. Gelato is supposed to have a thick, creamy texture, and this stuff possessed neither of these qualities. It was hardly thick at all, actually, and resembled a melted milkshake instead. It wasn't dense, and seemed like it had been puffed full of air. It was really off-putting. And while the Ovaltine had a decent flavor, the B.C. Blueberry Crumble was awful. It was so overloaded with sugar that it was pretty much inedible, and indeed I wound up throwing away most of it. I don't know what went wrong with this joint, but hopefully Nani figures it out soon and fixes the problem. The extreme decline in quality is just so disappointing and depressing. read more

Flavours change every two weeks! When we came in this time, we sampled the Vietnamese coffee and pistachio, and ultimately went with the pistachio. There were actual pistachio chunks in the gelato which was nice! And it tasted authentically pistachio unlike other places. For one scoop, the portion was more than enough for two people to share. This used to be a great place with good customer service and natural gelato. We used to recommend friends and family saying this is better than Froyo and Jenni's since it had less sugar. Unfortunately, this time around it was so sweet that we threw it out. So much sugar loaded made it taste no different than store bought Ben and Jerry's. It lacked all sense of professionalism, I understand teenagers want to try drugs but people should not be allowed to work when high, the interaction was weird and down right disrespectful and to add a safety issue in cramped store. Gelato flavours for scoops rotate frequently but there's always something interesting available with basil mint or Pakistani milk cake just to name a few. I grabbed a scoop of the vanilla bean banana and it was very clean with just the right amount of banana. Pint selection is good, however the variety of flavours for scoops is smaller than other gelato spots and Nani's doesn't stock classic flavours all the time. Good but not exceptional gelato. The revolving flavors are a nice idea that keep customers coming back. The location is odd: in a small setup with some restaurants but not much else is around. Equally odd is the lack of any kind of seating outside despite a large patio area. Consequently, people outside pierced on whatever surface they can find. I had the pistachio kulfi, which has plenty of pistachio pieces in it and some of the mango chocolate chip.
