I'm sorry but the Indian lady was very rude! It's was our first time coming and last time coming to this location! I have never visited this business so I'm not familiar with the ice cream. She dropped the whip cream as she was giving it to me and looked at me as if I dropped it. No, it was her fault. She put the banana slit wrong!! It's common sense to put the bananas in first! And the picture had 2 bananas in she only put one and slit it in half. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be but if it is, that display needs to be changed. In the other hand the young boy was very patient. I have been to several Marble Slab locations in the Sugarland/Houston area, as it is my boyfriend's favorite ice cream spot, and this is unfortunately the worst of them all. Walking in, it is clear that the store has an outdated, overdue-for-renovations vibe to it. The ice cream my partner and I tried had ice chunks inside, and we ended throwing out our ice creams halfway through due to the distaste. It was also clear from the display that there was little thought put into the presentation. The only thing that salvaged this review is that the girl working the cash register was very polite. I had not visited this location in years. This particular location of Marble Slab Creamery is tucked away in the corner of a large shopping plaza. It's in a busy and yet frequently visited part of Stafford. I used to frequent this spot much over a decade ago when it was a Cold Stone Creamery location. That place was awesome. This shoppe of MS creamery is just OK. The servers were friendly and let me try a few samples of ice cream. The flavors were just alright though. Many of the flavors were quite artificial in taste. But that's typically a given for a large chain spot such as this. I opted for the coconut flavor because it looked fresh in comparison to the other flavors. Creamy in taste and not that sweet. Mixed in some almonds as well into it. They serve cookies here but they are not that fresh. I picked up a red velvet cookie and it didn't taste good at all. Most of their cookies are just standard and all artificial. You can create a cookie sandwich. They also have large ice cream cakes. Lots of frozen delight's to choose from. Other than that, this spot is better for just a simple flavor of ice cream. You can't go wrong with flavors such as: chocolate, vanilla, or cake batter. Any mixins (toppings) are included with your ice cream. They also have waffle bowls and regular cone waffles. I'm glad this ice cream spot still exists in the neighborhood. Immediately when I walked in, I was told that I needed to go get a mask to return (no more mask mandate). The same employees that told me that I needed a mask, presumably because they care about health, proceeded to make everyone's ice cream with no gloves (even though a full box of gloves was sitting right there on the counter to wear) and went back and forth many times between handling people's money and touching their own masks on their faces, and touching everyone's spoons and cups with their bare hands. This is a combination Marble Slab and Great American Cookie company. I swung by here with my fiancé when she wanted to grab some ice cream. The girl behind the counter was really helpful. There was another guy filling the cookie orders. We happened to get there just in time, because about a dozen other people walked in while she was making our two cones and the line kept going well past the time that we left. She seemed to be the only one making orders, so they were in for a long wait. The only knock on this place is that their items are getting really expensive. It's $5 for a "small," which is admittedly much bigger than what you'd get at Baskin Robbins, but it feels like paying a bit much. Still well worth it for the occasional treat. read more

This used to be a Coldstone Creamery until they started closing down a lot of their locations. I got a small double chocolate with walnuts, almonds, and pistachios mixed in. I was craving something chocolaty and nutty...and that was perfect, minus the saltiness of the pistachios that I ended up avoiding when I took my scoops. I loved the texture of the ice cream! It was perfectly melted to the point of being soft with some runny-ness but not soupy. I didn't have to use all my strength to scoop it, nor did I have to slurp it from my spoon. My daughter and I made a visit there last night as I love their shakes. Female behind the counter walks up and looks at us, no hello or what can I get you, just looks at us, ok then. Daughter orders 1 scoop of strawberry, female says what size... daughter repeats, 1 scoop, I say a small, response, what kind. She just said 1 scoop strawberry and you missed both of those? Wow. So said employee puts 2 scoops of strawberry in the cup. Ok sorry but pay attention or don't work there. Daughter says I only wanted one scoop, so she removes one scoop smh. Asks me what I want, I say a chocolate shake, she says what kind? Omg really, I said chocolate, she replies, oh he can get that for you. Ok whatever. The customer service isn't that great and now they ask for tips at the register when paying with a card. I don't want to leave a tip if the service wasn't that great. Ice cream is good stuff. I don't eat much of it but there's times when you just gotta have it. Marble Slab answers the call for cold dairy goodness with it's great variety of flavors and ice cream creations. Some favorites: Sweet Cream, Cheesecake, Dark Chocolate and when in season, Pumpkin. They also have the basics: strawberry, vanilla and chocolate. Other flavors include: birthday cake, lemon, black walnut, vanilla bean, mint chocolate, amaretto and many more. Flavors change daily so check the menu board and case to see which ones are made for that day. They also have sorbets. Ice cream can be ordered in S, M or L cups. Portions here are big and a good value. Plain and dipped chocolate cones are also an option. Malts are also offered. One of the creations I've come to love is Better Batter Boogie Board: birthday cake ice cream with rainbow sprinkles, brownie and hot fudge. You can't go wrong with that. Anything that contains brownies is excellent to me. There is a variety of creations to be tried. The store itself isn't very large but lines seem to move well and employees are very efficient and friendly. I enjoyed my ice cream here and I would definitely come here again. read more

Marble slab has been my favorite for over 10 years. But recently I have noticed that many have changed ownership and are either run by family/friends. This has resulted in my experience with the customer service and quality of service in preparation of the ice cream to go down. If you get two flavors with toppings they put very minimal effort in mixing. At this locations in particular more than a few times the ice cream was a little runny like if the freezer was not cold enough. I asked one employee a while back and she said they were gonna get the freezer serviced but doesn't seem like that's been fixed properly. I know it's just working at an ice cream shop to them and they really don't care...Because most the time I walk in they are in the back on their phones but if I'm gonna walk in and spend $20 for some ice cream I expect quality and service. read more

This place is usually pretty nice but the later it gets in the day, the less flavors they have. I went around 6 on a Friday and they were out of at least three flavors. The part that could have given this place a five star rating would be if the lady gave me and my boyfriend the ounce of ice cream that was left in the container. Unfortunately she just joked about doing it and threw it out instead. Other than not having the ice cream we wanted, the texture is always creamy but sometimes it melts a little too fast. The price is up there, you could get an entire gallon for what you're paying here. The ice cream was delicious! However, it was disturbing to see one of the employees sitting in the counter where food is prepared. This young man was obviously just lazy. The store wasn't dirty, but attention to detail would have been nice to see. The floors needed swept. The tables needed cleaning. The trash outside could've been picked up.
