It was from an aunty, NWOT, and I don't mind it didn't have tags, or that it's an older version. I've always been the kind of girlie to thrift shop because I'm not a fan of what the clothing industry has done to our planet. This is why we went to FE-Kapolei in the first place: for someone to help us figure out how to use this thing. Read my review for the Kapolei location to know what happens next. Anyways, since that first visit, I visited FE a bunch of times because of their baby clothes. One reason I'm also not a FE person is the prints are too much for me. Put it this way, the only print I would kind of consider wearing is the simple fish print in black, no other colors! And then next thing you know, there's also a baby section as well for my son! Having a baby changes you, I'll still thrift for my clothes, but I wouldn't mind getting my son the newest clothes from a locally owned, woman ran business. Also, I LOVE being able to text the store and reserve items, no driving all the way to find out it's not there! And the quality of the clothes is definitely there. Decided to buy a baby onesie for our family photos and another baby onesie for our friends who are pregnant. I know baby clothes don't last long, but I just couldn't help myself! Overall, I may only like a couple things from FE, but the fact that it's supporting local is a big plus for me! Also, the quality of the clothing is so great considering the price.

She's so sweet, organized, efficient, and has a great memory! Now, she has two stalls (both sides of the aisle) at The Marketplace at City Square. Look for her at the end of the building, right before the restrooms! She offered to let me try on some dresses, but I will pass because the prices are so good! One piece is $7 and two pieces total $10! She also has 3 for $10 deals on t-shirts, golf shirts, and children's clothing! Take a look! You might find a vintage Tommy Bahama shirt for $12 or a Cooke Street Aloha Shirt for $10! Parking is free, so come on over!

Aunty's Ukay Ukay is located in Marketplace at City Square and thanks to Nadine C she showed me that there's this place who had relocated from Chinatown and have found a new home here and you'd never know as it's primarily known to shop for groceries and other relatable items. You just need to walk all the way in the back by the restrooms (which I had no idea they had) and you can't miss her with racks of all types of clothings. A simple set up but the variety for both adults and kids from shirts to dresses I was quite impressed of the choices she has and the prices are just so hard to resist as what makes an outfit is how you present it and with values like this you'd be looking fabulous at a great price. I thought that this was a hula supply store? Since I'm here, I should just take a look, right? Browsing the aisles that were filled with all kinds of merchandise like pareo, hair accessories, musical instruments, tube tops, lanyards, check book covers, hula skirts, etc., I found a rack of long mu'umu'u! I was excited to find a pretty lei print on lavender material with purple trim! Perfect! The nice man apologized that there was no dressing room. I estimated the length and width to figure what size to get. He said there's no refund and maybe I can come back for alteration? I think I'll fit! I also saw some coin purses that will make great party favors! I got a bunch and he gave me a discount for bulk purchase! Thank you! Wow... I walked in and Jeans Warehouse is totally different than 15 years ago. Idk what to get or how to wear these new styles. LUCKILY, just before giving up I asked one of the workers to please help since I'm taking family pics!!! It's like 8:40 and I'm freaking out cuz I don't want to stare at myself in family pics looking like I hate my clothes!!! She was so helpful, rushing around the store and offering suggestions of stuff I'd never wear but I'm like "you choose and I'll try" .... Omg!!!! She was so good and kind and nice!!! Second time shopping this location and each time Marianne was on it! She works alone, yet makes sure she greets every single customer that walks in, while ringing up sales, putting out new merchandise, and keeping store tidy and clean. Last month was my first time at this location and it was busy at 10:00 when it opens. I wanted to exchange a couple of jumpers for a different size but ended up finding more goodies that weren't at the other location which was much smaller. Lots and lots of Hawaiian designs on the cutest jumpers, rompers, dresses, blouses, workout items, and a large array of shoes, sandals even cowgirl boots and hats! Prices are so very reasonable and exchanges or returns can be made within 30 days or purchase with tags on and receipt. At the register, Marianne kindly let me know the procedure of exchanges, the amount she credited first, and then debited with new purchases. She doesn't say much, just does all these jobs that would take 3-4 sales people to do- I think she is the manager because looks professional, well-put together, makes sure she is watching the store while ringing up. There's a bit of trivial history. Tom Selleck wore various patterned shirts and now Jay Hernandez has them in the Magnum reboot series. I them was able to order on Amazon Prime! With my excitement, I ordered 3 shirts. Oops. According to the Pacific Clothing website, the sizing of the shirts run large. Canceled and recorded a size smaller. My ordered arrived in a couple of days via Amazon Prime. The original shirts were made in silk. Now they rayon, which is actually easier to launder. While in Maui, I purchased a 'Tom Selleck" shirt for my husband. It was our 30th anniversary and wanted him to have a keepsake from our trip. When I got home, I washed it carefully, hung it to dry and it shrunk. I was so disappointed that I decided to contact the manufacturer and left an message about this issue. Very quickly I received a reply from Tim. He gave me a suggestion how to rectify the problem and when it didn't work, he asked for a picture to identify the pattern to send a new one. I was a bit sceptical as we live in Canada and this was coming from Hawaii. Then I got a message from Tim that the specific pattern was out of stock and would I be willing to wait a month for it to come in, before the shirt could be made, which I had no problem doing. I was very surprised to get the update and was happy that Tim was keeping in touch about the shirt. When I got a message that the fabric had arrived and the shirt was being made I was very hopeful. The next message was the shirt was being sent and yes, it arrived!!!!! The only cost to me was the customs charge. So happy to have had such great service. I really like the sales at this location! The early hours is really convenient if I have a coffee…read morespill on the way to work and need a quick cheap wardrobe change or if I change my mind on the outfit I'm currently wearing in the middle of the day, or if I have a corporate event or date night right after work. I'd say that 90% of the time I leave with a shopping bag. Usually the red tag accessories are 75% off compared to other locations which are 50% off or none at all during the week. As for customer service, I'm usually greeted, checked on, and have no problem getting into a fitting room. Since this is a small location, the selection isn't too great, but really it's actually not that bad, which in my opinion is a good thing for my wallet. Since it's affordable clothing, it does need a little extra caution when washing and drying. After a few good uses, it's already wearing out. But can't beat the price and the everyday basics! Parking can be an issue if you don't frequent this area as much, then honestly I wouldn't even bother with that hassle. (Just pay the little difference in sales price at another location.)
