Marc refused to inject my SI Joint because he said my pain was not SI but it was a pulled muscle. LOL, what a joke. He spent 20 seconds poking around on me and said if I can pin point the pain then its not SI. I urged him to look again and he wouldnt. He just sat back and started chit-chatting- after I waited in a patient room for over 45 minutes. I told him I still think its SI because 2 pain management docs diagnosed my pain as coming from my SI Joint and I want to try PRP or stem cell. The other docs recommended a steroid shot into my SI, but I was looking for more long term relief which is why I came here. Marc just plainly refused to inject my SI Joint. He said it cant be my SI. Well low and behold, after I went with another doc for a steroid shot into my SI in a surgery center, my pain has been gone. Its been 2 months now with no pain and I'm thrilled. I know the pain will likely return, so I'll need to follow up with a real doc, not marc darrow, to do the SI joint PRP or stem cell in a surgery center. I learned Marc wont inject the SI because it has to be done in the surgery center, which he doesn't do. Before you come here and pay thousands (since you wont see any results with just 1 shot), I highly suggest you first get a few other opinions and read as much as you can about PRP. Ask a bunch of questions. Find out where in your body they take the platelets from (certain areas have better platelets and stem cells), how they spin it (it should be done a certain way to maximize something (i'm not positive of what), and how and where they re-inject it (Marc does a ton of small shots all around the area, as opposed to one long shot directly into the area, which means its much more superficial.) Just do your research. This place seems very easy. They get you in fast and are pleasant and its a nice place to do something aesthetic like prp into your face, or something basic, maybe. But I definitely do not recommend him for any kind of ligament tears or real chronic pain issues- he's just not trained as a pain management doc or surgeon. But I'm sure he'll chat your ear off. I've decided that I'm going to have to invent whole new words to describe how well Dr. Darrow's treatment worked on my knee, since "great" and "unbelievable" just aren't cutting it. I've had problems with my knee since a couple of really bad injuries some 30+ years ago left me with a slowly-degenerating cartilage-crack, a torn meniscus and the makings of some long-term arthritis behind the kneecap. I've tried the "building-the-muscles-around-the-knee" trick, had a couple of surgeries & exceeded the recommended number of cortizone/steroid injections by a Wide margin - I've tried PEMF, IR, lasers and even positive-thinking... NOTHING ever provided more than incremental or (very) briefly temporary relief (make no mistake, I was down for 'temporary'). I'm totally living proof of stemcell procedure. Back of November of 2015 I was set up for a left knee replacement, DR. Marc Darrow looked at my MRI and X-ray and felt I was a good candidate for Stemcell. Having seen Dr. Darrow five times, I can say they were the best experiences I've had in a Doctor's office.. every time! I had an arthritic knee with two torn meniscus that had had arthroscopic surgery 4 years ago and when I went to Dr. the first time, I could barely walk even with a cane. The pain was so bad. Dr. Darrow was highly recommended by two other amazing doctors who i trust and respect. He performed stem cell treatment on my knee for a torn meniscus. I feel very good about Dr. Darrow and his staff. It's been 7 months since my first appointment, and my knee health has improved drastically. In the spring of 2019, I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both knees, after hobbling around like a cripple the previous few months. At age 58, I had no interest in knee replacement surgery(s). After doing research, I took a leap of faith and went to Dr. Darrow's office, and it looks to have worked out. Dr Darrow is great. Came for PRP for scar tissue on a torn adductor years ago. It was my last resort because nothing was working. Dr Darrow was able to see me immediately. The procedure went smoothly and the scar tissue decreased in the first week by at least 40 percent. I came back to Dr. Darrow the day I tore my pec at the gym a few years later. He was able to see me immediately and schedule me an MRI across the street. MRI showed no surgery was needed. Saved the day. Please do your research on PRP before going to Dr. Darrow - he did "PRP" injections for elbow/tendinitis without using ultrasound guidance (this is a huge red flag) -I only understand this now, after going to a proper doctor - I had Regennex PRP injections recently which really made it clear that whatever Darrow did was just a complete waste of time and $. I went to Dr. Darrow a few months ago with debilitating pain in my hip. I couldn't put my shoes on, get into my car or go up stairs. Dr. Darrow is a miracle worker! I tore both ACLs and came to him following surgery on my first. I wish I would have seen him first and avoided surgery all together. I was in constant pain following surgery and my range of motion was severely limited. I tried everything for nearly a year-physical therapy, acupuncture, cold laser, infrared, you name it and nothing worked until I found Dr. Darrow. I had my first injection of PRP and finally some relief! As is typical with PRP, it usually takes multiple injections to really resolve the issue. In no time I was back to full activities feeling like an athlete again....until I tore my other ACL. This time I also tore my MCL and bicep femoris. I was told there was no way to avoid surgery.
