Office experience bad! I'm a new patient, sorry didn't get your paper work done but stuff happens. Got to office and staffer said they need to reschedule since I didn't have preliminary paperwork done. Looking around, I'm the only one there, I assured them I can get done quickly and I also have access to portal from prior doctor showing my medical history. Still a no. What kind of customer service is this, well thank God we have choices cause this is definitely a NO for me to give you my business!!!! Called Humana to change my doctor immediately then I found a doctor, & even better cause they are attached to Loma Linda Med Center, a top notch hospital, so got appt in 12 days!!! If you're not treated well, leave and give your business to another office who really have good customer service manners!!! read more

I love doctor Bonnici and think she is an amazing doctor. However, I cannot say the same for the people at the front office. I tried to get an appointment to do a follow up because I was in an accident and the hospital told me to follow up with my primary care provider. Which I tried to do but the front office informed me that they don't accept those type of appointments anything involving an accident. What's the point of having them as a primary service provider if they're not going to provide service as a primary care provider? But I just hung up because again I did sustain injuries and the last thing I want to do is argue with someone over the phone. read more

They never answer their phones, never call you back and the doctor likes to play games withholding Prescriptions to force you to come in. It's fine if it's once a year I guess, but making me come in twice for bloodwork in one year is ridiculous. And even when I do go to make an appointment theres no one to take my call yo even schedule it. They won't refill my prescription until I get it done. I finally get it done and they're still not giving me my prescription. The pharmacy says they've been non responsive to all their requests. I established with this doctor under my new insurance through my employer. She order me lots of lab work because I haven't really been feeling my best and I wanted to see how bad my anemia has gotten...once my results came in I asked to Pay for a televisit so that I can get my results over the phone and possibly start whatever treatments I needed to, if needed because my work schedule was not allowing me to take off of work to go sit in her face so she can just give me my blood work results....I was told No and that I needed to come in her office just to get my blood work results. The receptionist said she would ask her if I can please schedule a televisit...even her medical assistant said that should be a problem...but they called me back to say that she refuses and I needed to come in. Now what if I have some major illness and need to immediately start on a medication? Dr. Bonnici denied me My health care after I pay her very good insurance money! DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR IF YOU WANT EVEN DECENT CARE! This poor excuse for a human being much less a doctor completely dropped the ball on my care after over 10 yrs! I was diagnosed"borderline diabetic" in 2017 and after several questions about it, several office visits and a "physical" she NEVER followed up on my blood work! Then her and her staff began playing games with my care! Intentionally sending wrong orders REPEATEDLY to labs & imaging centers! Finally, I got my insurance company involved! After dealing with her, my insurance company FILED A COMPLAINT AGAINST HER & sent me complaint forms encouraging me to do the same! Not impressed, she has a nonchalant attitude and does not seem to really be too concerned with the problem/s the patient is trying to convey. There are much better Dr.'s out there. I would not recommend Dr. Bonnici unless you don't care that your Dr. doesn't care. NEVER returns calls to pharmacies or patients....Office staff is HORRIBLE...really snotty...always on the defensive....No one there is friendly not even the Doctor. And forget about Lab results....you will never get them....I have to switch doctors in order to get my lab results. So update~ something must have happened at the office because things seem to have improved. My latest refferals got processed quickly (and I mean like within the week) and I found out that the nurse who was a bit too personal had gotten terminated. While getting labs done I was mentioning my doctor to another patient and she said that I was the 5th person to tell her about Dr. Bonnici and that she too only heard great things about her. I do not recommend!!!! I walked in for my appointment, and the two ladies in front, had to finish their conversation before having me sign in! Keep in mind, I've never been there before! So, imagine how I feel, I make an appointment... Print out my own file to fill out before I get there, and then when I do get there, get treated like that! A few weeks have gone by and at the very least we would have thought the doctor would reach out to me or my wife and inquire as to why we did not continue with her as our healthcare physician. We can only think that she has no idea how unprofessional her staff is, including the office manager. If you look at the reviews, the last positive review was in mid 2019. Dr. Bonnici has been my pcp for over 5 yrs. I'm a complicated patient with funky autoimmune issues. Her staff always gets me an appointment when needed, gets me quick referrals to all of the specialists I need, and her staff actually call me back! They are very unorganized, they NEVER return phone calls after they say they will. Their office procedures fall very short from what I know Dr Bonnici expects. I have called multiple times and was told that I would be contacted about my referrals, but never did till I called angry and after being on hold for 30 minutes. The front office needs to understand that they are there to help sick and injured patients. IT WON'T HURT YOU TO SMILE AND BE FRIENDLY! I love her!!! I've worked with over 20 physicians, so I know what good patient care is. I'm so happy I found her. Im in the field & didn't know about her! My sister highly recommended her to me, family history is important in preventive medicine so I knew I had to set up an appointment & try her out. My sister wasn't lying, she is a great physician. I was sold Within the first few mins, and I have high standards. I have no idea where all these negative reviews came from, it saddens me that people can't see the other side of it, & are so quick to complain & blame the dr. Im in the field, so I understand why doctors have the policy's they have & I respect them. You have to give it time establish a relationship with trust with any dr you choose & also you have to respect the rules of their practice. If you don't agree with it, then don't become a patient. However, in my personal & professional opinion, it's your loss because she is an amazing dr! Never rushed me, always listens to me, always walks in with a smile & friendly hello, has an amazing memory with her patients & their care. Once you establish your relationship with her, you will feel very safe & secure knowing you have a good doctor. I feel safe opening myself up to her & telling her things about my personal life without the feeling of being judged. She's compassionate. For those who get irritated with the staff, just know a lot of medical assistants come & Go when they realize medical is not the job for them. Nature of the beast. This happens to a majority of doctors offices, it's not the doctors fault. If you have an issue with her staff, let it go until you see her or make an appt so you can tell her personally because she will listen & try to fix the issue. I highly recommend her. Understand the policies of her office( or any office at that) first before complaining or writing a negative review, people are way to quick to tell Their bad experience when whatever issue they have most likely could have been avoided had you done YOUR part of the relationship. You are responsible to request refills before your last pill or the day your out, your responsible to take care of what she asks of you, it's not the doctors or staffs responsibility to stop what they are doing to help you because you waited till last minute or didn't follow policy. Own up To it if you did wait to long & be honest about it when you call & now need them to Rush your requests. Sometimes it can't be done so It means a lot to the staff & her to do your part as the patient to ensure you get the best care & relationship. Trust me it's not hard or a lot. I've been a patient of Dr Bonnici for over a year now. The first time I called to schedule an appointment the receptionist Naomi was very nice and informative. Dr Bonnici's practice is one of a kind. I'm able to get in to see her right away and I don't feel rushed to get in and out as if I'm on a food processing mill. Dr Bonnici is very thorough and caring about her patients. Dr B is the best!!!! She knows us and really cares about our family and our health. We have been patients of hers for a couple years now and by far one of my favorite doctors we've ever been to. I have been seeing this doctor for a few years and the only reason I stuck around was because I really don't need to see an MD often...with that said this office is horrible when you do need to be seen. First the billing department is months behind, and when you get notices a month or two after ypu sent a check snd call the front desk the receptionist will even say how "'slow" they are. Secondly the medical assistant takes longer than 24 hrs to call you back, even when you are prescribed an antibiotic that you had a allergic reaction to and need a new one, nope can't manage had to go to urgent care to take care of that. She is a one woman show so getting an appointment is tough and I have seen a random urgant care while under her care than I ever have! Her receptionist is rude, I have never met someone with such lack of compassion, she should get out of this field! Today was the last straw. I called to ask about possibly getting a prescriptuon for tamiflu as my kids are positive flu A, The pediatric MD recommended me getting it as I am giving it to two of the kids that did not get it (YET) I was met with a very rude "MY DOCTOR does not prescribe medications that are not needed, you need to be positive for the flu to get it" I asked again if it can be given as a preventative measure because we have kids who are positive which again the receptionist said no and asked if I had the flu vaccine...which isn't relevant as the flu vaccine does not even cover influenza A....I will say the MD herself will listen to you when you see her...but everything else makes this office completely undesirable and I will be finding a new practice. read more

Worst customer service ever!!! In February I took my daughter for a physical and we were told when we got there that she hadn't been there in a year (yes, true as Dr Bonnici lost her contract to Tricare and asked us to wait until she got it back and when my daughter was ill, Dr was always out of town on vacation - but she had been seen by urgent cares) I explained that to Dr and she wasn't happy. Dr. threatened my daughter telling her she would not give physical unless she received her vaccine (it was the PPV and a booster). My daughter would have gotten it that day regardless, but I have never known a doctor to threaten a child in front of their parent. Next day I switched doctors. Five months later I get a bill,when I was by Dr. Bonnici staff there was no co-payment for a physical. Call numerous times to pay, but no answer at front desk. I finally get through and ask for printed copy of payment and account being closed as I am no longer a patient, and I was told they don't do that. Had words with the girl and said I expected a receipt by the end of the month - have a great day and hung up. Dr Bonicci's staff call me back while I am driving and inform me that if I have a question that I need to contact the billing number she was going to give me. I stated I was driving that I just wanted a paid receipt and asked for number to be emailed to me. She informed me any concerns I have take it up with billing at the number and hung up - she didn't give me the number. If you want this type of service then I guess this is your place. Only one star to get your attention! This is a horrible doctors office. Very disorganized and unfriendly my 89 year old mother trusted this doctor for her care. About a year ago, mom fell and hurt her back, went to the doctor and told to get an X-ray. Got the X-ray and it took 9 days for them to call and say that her back was fractured and she needed to go to an orthopedic surgeon (REALLY!!!!)... That was one instance.. Two others were with thyroid. She needed blood tests to see if her prescription changes. They put her on a higher dose and put the prescription in as brand name instead of generic like we requested. Express scripts ships brand charges $60 vs $3 and the wont refund because that's the way the dr. Sent it in... (Did you know doctors get a kick back if they prescribe brand?) yup. So the robbed my 89 year old mom on a fixed income $60(doesn't that sound peachy). The last straw ! Blood test done January 4th I called for results on the 6th, results in, doctor hasn't reviewed. Ok ready for this January 21. Called doctor to get a copy of the blood test. Held on phone 12 minutes.. Says dr has to review it first . WTF. Went to office to pick up the results because I want to take them to the new doctor. Stood on office 15 minutes staring her down to get the copy. .. I am so do with this office. They are the most incompetent doctors office.. I will be reporting to the AMA! And to SCAN!! Thank God we are outta there. read more

The practice is horrible. I had bloodwork done last Thursday morning. I called on Tuesday asking for the results. Receptionist said she was in and they would have her give me a call on my cell with the results. Didn't heat back..called the lab and they said she had the results on Monday. Called back Thursday and receptionist placed me on hold for 5 minutes..came back and said we don't have the test results back..I told her the lab said you had them on Monday..she put me on hold and came back on the line and after another 5 minutes said..oh..we have them...but the Dr. Hasn't given me the results yet...she' s here today and ill have her contact you..I gave her my cell phone my cell number and email AGAIN and its 11:05 pm and no phone call or email. Don't choose this Doctor. Also, there was only one other patient in the waiting room and I was there over an hour. I'm reporting her negligence to Blue Cross tomorruow and our benefits dept. There are just toooooo many holes in dealing with this doctor and office if you ever get thru. It's like pulling teeth to get anything done or done right. It shouldn't be laborious getting a prescription or a doctor's visit and THIS doctor never is hands on once you leave the office. She will never call you or answer any questions with her staff to block her. She's always out of the office and no one can reach her. Follow-thru and lack thereof causes mistakes and can't take that chance. Next doctor - no problem. I have been a patient of Dr. Bonnici for 5 years. I find her to be a caring, compassionate and sympathetic health professional. However, her staff leaves a lot to be desired. I see her maybe twice a year and each time I find them, the staff, to be discourteous, self-absorbed, impatient and VERY disorganized. I had cancelled an appointment with someone in her office two weeks prior to the date of a scheduled appointment. They typically call the day before to remind you, which did not happen, that led me to believe that my appointment was not on the books. Two days later I received a statement for a "NO SHOW FEE" that was very upsetting. I have always showed up on time if not early for my appointments, but yet I still sit in the waiting room at times for a half hour or more and then additional waiting time once in the examination room before I actually get to see Dr. Bonnici, resulting in my being late back to work or for other appointments in my day. I've never complained for I realize that the doctor is spending time with patients who have important concerns and she never appears to want to "rush" thru the session, but my time is just as valuable and I would never think of deducting a "Waiting Fee" from her charges. Before I wrote this I looked over some of the other reviews and found that I was not alone in my views regarding her office personnel....It's too bad that her staff can have such a negative impact on her practice. read more

I can say that Dr. Bonnici is good at what she does. My problem is with her incompliant staff, especially her nurse. I get nothing but excuses and no call backs. I have been in severe pain in my right kidney for over a week now and yes, I did go see Dr. Bonnini. They took x-rays, which over a week later I still have not received results. I have been into ER twice where they did a CT one time and Ultrasound the second. I followed up with Dr. Bonnini's office and spoke with the nurse. She said they would send me out for an ultrasound. When I told her that the ER had already performed that test, in an indignant tone she said that they didn't receive the report. I stopped by the hospital that same evening and obtained copies. I stood there as the hospital faxed the results to Dr. Bonnini's office. The next day, nothing heard. The following day I phoned Dr. Bonnini's office and spoke with the nurse and told them the report was faxed. She told me that she had not seen them and that the hospitals do send thing when they say thy do. I informed her that I was standing right there when they did. I am still in pain, but I am tired of dealing with Dr' Bonnini's staff. They will kill her practice. There is more, but I am not going to write a book. read more

This is the absolute most unprofessional doctors office I've been to. Doctor Bonnici doesn't call you about your blood work, she has the receptionist do it. To talk about the results you need an appointment. And, you have to wait a week for the next appointment. It's like all she cares about is making money, not the patient. I sent her an email that was on her website and she had her secretary call me to say that was her personal email and not to email her. She didn't even mention the reason I emailed her. I will be turning 70 years old next week on July 28th (probably thanks mostly to Dr. Bonnici) I waited a long time to see a Dr. When I moved to California because I didn't know any and also not a big fan of going to the Dr. But time had come that I had no choice. My daughter found Dr.B for me on a website I think and what a find. Dr. B is so easy to talk to, is the most caring and companionate Dr. I have ever been to. I had extremely high blood pressure and chronic back pain that made my daily life not fun. In just a short time she had my blood pressure under control and I now can do things during the day without sitting ever little while with my back situation . My Daughter, her husband and three boys age 6,7 & 10 all go to her too, they also love her. The boys are happy when they are told time to go see Dr. B. she is very knowledgable and caring so when you see her you won't feel like hurry up time go and get to next patient. I felt comfortable from my very first appointment. I hope she never leaves this area, I would never want to have to change doctors for the rest of my life. read more
