The small pizza place is it located in Barnegat Village Square. I was hungry and I stopped in to get a couple slices of pizza. Nothing remarkable here two plain slices, or I should say to plain limp slices. Though the taste was ok, I can't stand limp pizza, where gravity takes over and the slices die in your hands. Very good pizza, pasta and salad. we had a large plain pie, some baked manicotti, and an antipasto salad. The pizza was very good, perfectly baked, tasty crust. The baked manicotti came with a lot of sauce, had fresh ingredients, and was quite good. The antipasto salad was excellent, very fresh ingredients. We did wait a long time for our food, but it was Christmas Eve and I am sure that had a lot to do with it. Next time we're in the area, I intend to return in person and dine there! read more

The food is EXCELLENT. The service is Excellent. The Ambiance is Great. We've eaten here twice. The chef, Chris, is a really good dude and is very talented. The Pizza is great and I've eaten them all (DeLorenzos, Sallys, DeLuccias, Grimaldi's).. We had Chicken Francaise Pizza there last time and it is incredible. The eggplant is Outstanding. The soups have always been terrific. We are retiring down to this area and It is very comforting to know, that I will still be able to get great Italian food in my new neighborhood. Pretty tasty pizza. Not far from my family's place. I've been a couple times. It's always fairly busy when I go. I usually call ahead, 20-30 minutes for pick up. The pizza itself is always delicious. Good salty cheese, nice sauce, crust is perfect. It's a little greasy, but not so much so. I've gotten it with pepperoni as well as plain and the toppings are abundant, but not overwhelming. It's one thing to just completely destroy an order. It's one thing to take over an hour to give us our food when we were told 20 minutes, leaving family and friends waiting for us on a Saturday night. It's one thing for the pizza and half of the food to be ice cold and half cooked. But to do all of this and not apologize, not make an offer to fix, and to do this to multiple people on line if front of us as well.... Yeah that's pretty unacceptable. Will not be back. read more

This is my goto place for pizza and subs. I've had the chicken parm sub and eggplant parm sub. Both were excellent. Many places use frozen eggplant or chicken. You can tell it was frozen as soon as you bite into it. It is always fresh and delicious at Marchionis. The pizza is probably the best in the area. I recently tried the penne vodka pizza. Ordered delivery Friday. I have eaten the pizza and eggplant parm sandwich and they were good. This time we got baked ziti and penne vodka with chicken. Oh and garlic bread. The dinners were huge. Ordered a grandma pizza, plan pie, and calzone. Pizza was undercooked, sauce was absolutely terrible very sour and bitter. The calzone was very small and it was very dry. All in all the dough is good but all the other ingredients are poor quality. The ppl giving this a good rating clearly don't know good food, and I have been noticing that down here. I waited a couple weeks to leave this review because the dining experience was subpar and pizza was mediocre. The pizza arrived at the table before our appetizer. My husband wanted to send it back but I imagined that it would sit there getting cold while we waited so we had the server leave it. The dining room is on the dark side but I could see that my plate looked dirty and requested a new one. The server said, "it's just the way they are," (from heavy use.) She did bring another plate, better but it too looked dirty. Not very appetizing. The pizza was okay, not great, not terrible. You could do worse but there are too many good pizzas out there to settle. read more

Where to start.... We ordered a pizza and garlic knots. The pizza was limp but alright. The garlic knots were pretty good... What wasn't good though was the fact that the food was cold and it took 1.5hr for delivery, which would've been understandable if the website didn't say it would take 45min. First time patrons and we tried the grandma, chicken parm, chicken franchise pies were NY style for sure with sauce that has good flavor and the kids loved the mac n cheese. My wife is a North Jersey girl and I'm from Brooklyn NY where I grew up on DaVinci pizza in Bensonhurst and that's the best slice in Brooklyn fauggeitboutit!!! My favorite Italian Restaurant and I'm a regular because the food is so good. My compliments to the Chefs. The service is just as good. Ask for Danielle or Colleen who are both awesome. The taller one is Danielle. She is funny too but only in the dining room. Chris makes pizzas and speciality pizzas that are consistently delicious. He remembers everyones name but mine.
