Good food overall. Only complaints that i know of are about enchiladas. Kinda bland. Not as spicy Tex-Mex as we are accustomed to. More like what you would get in Mexico or New Mexico, but at least not overpowered with chili powder. Found fajitas to be excellent. Guacamole is A+. Chili Relleno best I ever ate. Top it with queso. Street tacos great. Service overall is above average. Frozen margaritas are top shelf. But hold it to one. Strong. Overall it's a 4.8 restaurant. Do most things better than restaurants in bigger cities. People drive here to eat there. Must be a reason. read more

Some friends and I were on a trip, near Frankston, and looking for a place to have dinner. This was Thursday, April 23rd, 2026. There didn't seem to be a lot of options, so we were very happy to find a Texmex restaurant close by. We love Texmex! We were promptly seated by a young guy, then greeted quickly by our server. She was very friendly and helpful in answering our questions about the menu. My friends both chose the Frankston special with a side of guacamole, and I can't remember the name of the entree I chose, but it was a cheese enchilada (I think) covered with beef fajita meat and chili, alongside rice and refried beans. I had a coke, which was served in a bottle, but our server brought me a glass of ice which was great. The restaurant was hopping for a Thursday night. It wasn't full to the max, but business was good. Our server was very attentive. I wish I could remember her name so I could give her a shout out. The guacamole was delicious. I could have made a meal just off of that, but since it was ordered by my friend, I wasn't going to eat all of her food. Ha! Honestly though, the salsa and rest of our food was mediocre. We ate most of it, but there wasn't anything I'd crave enough to go back. It was edible, so if I found myself in Frankston hungry again, I'd consider stopping in. Like I said, there aren't a lot of dining options. We eventually asked for our check and went to the front register to check out. This was done by an older man who we found to be very rude. We asked for our check to be split up between us, and I guess he just wasn't in the mood or something. There was no one else checking out at the time, but he was rushing us through, making a simple request a whirlwind of demands. I really don't know how else to describe it. Once we paid and were out the door, we all looked at each other and tried to figure out what that was all about. Needless to say, he kinda ruined the experience for us. So, if you're in Frankston, and want some so-so Texmex, go to Marcos. Or, there's always the Dairy Queen nearby for just as good of a meal. read more

The food needed salt. The caso was okay but no salt and made with way to may ingredients. Caso needs to be simple same with the salsa. The fewer ingredients the better. The rest just needed salt. The service was great read more

My very favorite place to eat! Food always fresh, staff is always courteous. And the atmosphere is always very upbeat!

Everything needs to improve except our waitress. She did a good job with our order. The food was almost "ok." The fajita beef wasn't seasoned and such a disappointment. The beans tasted like they came from a can, and no one bothered to season them. The taco salad was a joke -- the lettuce barely covered the plate with five little pieces of tomato. Really? The other dishes the ones at my table had were all mediocre at best and we all made the decision to never go back, especially when the tacos at the Dairy Queen down the street are so much better than anything this place served up. read more

Today went in. Ordered frozen Margarita waitress said we forgot to turn the machine on so it will be 3-5 minutes. After 15 min my husband's WATERED MARGARITA SHOWED UP and charged FULL PRICE!! WOW the choices on the lunch menu stated $9.25 cool BUT THEY FAILED TO MENTION THAT IF YOU GET THEIR "CRAP" fajita meat it cost ya an extra $1. NEVER GOING BACK, NIGHTMARE!!! What a great little place in Frankston!! The staff is always so friendly and accommodating! We were brought chips, salsa AND a personal size queso as soon as we were seated. Super nice touch...I mean, who doesn't want chips and queso, and this is a great way for people to try it if they are picky about queso. It is very good queso, BTW! The salsa is nice and flavory and just the right amount of chunky but is very mild. Good rice and beans, very good enchiladas, and GREAT tortilla soup!! They were out of chicken but they brought me a big bowl of the broth to try, and I can't even begin to tell you how yummy it was! The broth is chicken based and has a great depth of flavor, but man was it spicy! I'm sure they could tone down the bits of jalapeño that were in there if you are spicy sensitive, but I loved the burn and I will definitely be ordering that again and again! I'm so happy we found a good Mexican food place that's close to us so we don't have to drive to Tyler anymore. Thanks for the excellent service and great food!! read more

We eat here at least once weekly. EVERYTHING I've eaten has been delicious. My go to is 3 enchiladas with onions, rice, beans, a cup of their street taco sauce that's spicy, and a large order of guacamole. read more

Very bland, no spice/kick to any of the food we tried. Nice atmosphere and the margaritas were good, so it's too bad the food was so bland. Also, the salsa was like tomato juice. You can't have a Mexican restaurant without good salsa! Chips were good, staff was nice. read more

The service is always prompt and helpful. My go to menu item is also my favorite, their Guadalajara Dinner. The chile is large and delicious. I also like their chips, which are temperature hot, and they provide both a salsa and cheese dips with it. There are a number of Mexican restaurants in the area like in Tyler, Athens, Jacksonville, and Palestine, but not only is Marco's my favorite, it also happens to be the closest to where I live in Frankston. read more
