I actually had to hand her the salad to get it cleared from the table. By the time a manager came over, everyone else, including the kids, had completely finished eating. She apologized for the delay and explained that a large delivery order had come in, but then mentioned that we had "changed our order" afterward, but it would be out soon. Maybe she didn't mean it that way, but it landed like the delay was partly on us for sending back. We've both worked in restaurants, so we understand getting slammed. We understand large orders. We understand mistakes. What matters is communication and how you recover when something goes wrong. When our server brought the check, she told us she had "done what she could," which apparently meant removing the salad from the bill. Fair enough. Except after I signed, I realized we had also been charged for four glasses of wine when we only had three. At that point, we were done and just wanted to leave. None of these things individually would have prompted a bad review. It was the accumulation of them, along with the lack of ownership and the strange feeling that we were somehow inconveniencing the restaurant by pointing out a problem. This place is usually really good, and I genuinely hope this was just an off night. But it was easily the worst experience we've had here, and unfortunately it's one we'll remember before deciding to come back.

The portions are large here, which makes this restaurant such a great bargain. Beet salad - filling with typical ingredients. This is tastier than it sounds Seafood fettuccine - this dish uses squid ink fettuccine and has plenty of seafood in it. I liked it Fried Eggplant - this dish comes with 2 eggplant slices, and a side of spaghetti between the slices. It was the smaller of the two main dishes, but still tasty if you're an eggplant fan. I skipped dessert since I was full from the bread which is brought to the table at the beginning of the meal. Service was outstanding as you could expect. Ambiance is pretty good since there was the added bonus of live piano music playing pretty much the entire time with dimly lit lights.

This is the go-to pizza delivery location in our household. We've tried the local PJ's, the local PH, the local Domino's...we know the delivery drivers do the best that they can, but somebody at these stores isn't holding up their end of the bargain. Too many cold pizzas after too many 2 hour waits! Not so, at Marco's! Timely, consistent, and the brats on the phone know what they're doing, mostly! Moreover, even when it gets pizza and we have to wait for our casein fix, the pizza shows up HOT, even two hours later. If you're looking for that perfect combination of crispy, chewy, soft pizza crust or amazing pepperoni that is unlike anything the competition offers- this is your spot. Delivery service is on-par most of the time, and the driver always has a pen. Also, the pizza never tastes like cleaning fluid (If you've worked in food service, know what I'm talking about- soaked into whatever crust was left on the pan that was half-washed...). My only complaint is that there are too many toppings on the pizza, sometimes. (What a problem!) The worst offender of this disappointment is the veggie pizza- asking for extra sauce (no charge! woo!) and well-done consistently resolved this issue. Worth nothing is that this issue was non-existent when my spouse ordered an obscene amount of Old-World and New-World pepperoni on a pizza one Friday evening, so maybe it's me and my darned high-heat-density water-based veggies. Would give a 0 if possible. Asked for Alfredo pizza and ordered one . Brought home a cheese pepperoni pizza without any sauce -- called to inquire and was told they don't have Alfredo. Then we asked why there is no sauce (was told it was a garlic sauce) on the pizza, the worker argued that they did put sauce on it . Then she refused to give us a name or phone number of a manager , when we finally talked to a "manager", he answered the phone "what do you want ?" I admit I was skeptical of going in a Marco's pizza as I see these places in various store fronts here and there. However, I decided today was the day to take a chance. . . Boy, am I glad I did!!! I'm a thin crust/meat lover's kind of guy and their thin crust Meat Supreme is most excellent!!! Add a little crushed red pepper and get that kick too!
