All Marc's Stores Locations Need to be remodeled IMMEDIATELY especially Garfield. The smell of something Unalive as soon as you leave the produce section is concerning?! My shopping experience was basic. There was no availability of workers to help find items. Basically I felt like I was shopping alone. Any particular items I wanted I had to find for myself. I am used to the employees asking if I need help but on today's visit it was not there. I had never been to this location before so I was unfamiliar with the layout. I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service I received from Dionte O (the cashier on my receipt). He greeted me very warmly and proceeded to ring up my purchase. I have shopped here since 2005 and this young man was the very first to show such great customer service. He maintained eye contact when greeting me and thanked me for my business And added have a blessed day! I was proud to see such service from a teenager. Unfortunately, in the past this has not always been the case. He is definitely a hidden gem working at this store. The store was well stocked and quite orderly as well. I know the importance of hearing some compliments and today I experienced a pleasant surprise. Keep up the good work! read more

I'll start out by saying Marc's is a fantastic company and you can't beat shopping there. My wife is the one who ventures out and she's at the Marc's near us - Lyndhurst area - Mayfield Road - at least four times a week. I also own a rental house in Maple Heights and have been to this location many times, but I will say I stopped going to this one a while back. Other people have echoed the reasons, mostly due to the ridiculous wait time in check out lines and the obvious lack of ANY urgency with the cashiers. I will say they are nice enough, but they move like sloths. My biggest gripe is the clientele and the attitudes they bring to the entire store. I won't subject myself to that anymore in my life if I can help it. The entitled attitudes are just unreal and the rudeness isn't worth my blood pressure going up any more than it is. Great prices and quality items, but I just can't with this area ....... and I'll end with this - my wife is a black woman so it's got nothing to do with the race of most of the people shopping there, it's the ghetto attitudes. I'll stick to the one in my neck of the woods. read more

If there was an option to choose one star,I would choose that option.This store is a joke and the management is worse.Why do they only have 2/3 lanes open at all times.Management is responsible for this inconvenience.The african American manager is very dry and definitely not friendly,when it comes to the customers,and they also don't honor the prices on the shelf.I'm so done with this store and their unprofessional managers. read more

The last 4 times I've shopped there, only 2 registers have been opened and several people are in line-today the line I was in had 6 people before they opened another register. You can definitely I felt do better and this was 1p. read more

Not a big fan of this Marc's store. First I think it is hard to navigate if you aren't there often. The entrance is placed where you have to walk to the end of the store in order to get to the store because the first thing you see are the checkout lanes. My other complaint is that the store looks pretty dirty. I'm not sure how often or how well they clean the store but I think they could do a better job by making the place look nice. I think it would add to a better shopping experience. I am not a fan of the organization; however, if you become a regular you will learn where everything is eventually. The staff also are not great at showing you where an item is. I had a staff member just point in the general direction of the item which was no help really. I give it three stars because Marc's has the best deals you could ever have for a grocery store. Their produce is fresh, they have a great selection at the various counters and they carry everything you could possibly need at affordable prices. This is coming from a recent college grad who doesn't have much money. Marc's is a local chain so support it. I would recommend Marc's but maybe not this branch. read more

I am new to this area and I loved shopping at Marc's where i use to live. This store however....It took me so long to find salad dressing lol Its in the back of the store near the fresh fruit and veggies. There is a Big Sign on the wall atop that says salad....but Since I didn't know the store I felt that to be an odd place to put it, when you have isles for condiments and some specialty dressings. The store was clean and easy to move around in with a cart. The fruit was very fresh as always. So I wasn't disappointed. There was however a scrimmage in the front of the store with two people arguing about a cart bump........people will be people, I elected to just get the things I needed and keep my distance from that hot mess. I encountered a nice elderly gentleman and later an elderly woman whom were super sweet and we had light conversations. It was nice to see good people who knew how to act in public. The staff were polite and friendly, very helpful and funny too.! lol I would go back many times, mainly because of the cleanliness and and fresh fruits an veggies. read more

I was just at Marc's. Now, I have to preface this with a GOOD comment. The store has really cleaned up since they began selling the groceries. The prices are usually very good. BUT today was NOT a good day. I checked out the ads, made comparisons, made my lists, got out my coupons, got my $$ together. Marc's was my first stop. I found everything with no problem, and went to check out. My things were rung up, and packed and I pulled out my $$. My bill was $24.35 (or close to that) I handed the cashier two rolls of quarters and a roll of dimes, all marked with y name, address and phone #. She looked at me blankly, and said "I can' take that". what???? it is LEGAL tender. I asked "WHY not?". She just repeated "I can't take that." I repeated "Why NOT?" Then a man came over, and asked what the problem was. The cashier said "She wants to pay me with coins. He said "We don't take coins. You need to use another form of payment.." "That's what I have---coins" He said "Use a credit card." I said, "I have Am Ex--you do not take that. He said "We do not take coins." I said , "Sorry, then I will go else where--just give me back my coupons." The cashier looked at the man, and then at me. I repeated "Give me my coupons back please." The cashier again looked at him, who then looked at me. I repeated. "I do NOT have a credit card you accept. I have coins. If you are not going to complete my purchase, I want my coupons back." I did get them back. I then went to the next store on my list, made my purchases from my list AND nearly everything on my Marc's list (no water chestnuts or Thomas' English muffins---BUT the corned beef was UNADVERTISED special for .20# LESS than Marc's, so I saved two dollars. BOTTOM LINE: I was embarrassed at Marc's. AND I called two banks when I got home, asking about using coins, and I was told Marc's has no legal right to refuse them. I won't be back. I will be throwing out the circulars before I even look at them from now on. This was the ROCKSIDE ROAD store in GARFIELD HEIGHTS. I do not have experience recently with any other Marc's. read more

How can you not like Marc's?! The store doesn't false advertise. It's a deep discount store, for real !!! Prices are good and products stocked are eclectic. The stuff is always friendly and parking can be found. The only downside is that you can only pay with cash. Please note: CASH ONLY. read more
