Dipped in two nights while staying at the RV Park. Had the burger one night and a Patty Melt the next night. Both cooked good. My wife had the chicken fried steak. She really enjoyed it. Service is good and the atmosphere is chill. Clean place.

Review is for the bakery. After our experience with pacific grill, we decided to go to this spot in the casino for some dessert. The girl at the counter was very patience and friendly. We ordered a carrot cake, a lemon cheesecake, and a s'mores milkshake. The milkshake was good. Thick and rich. I don't take a photo of it cause my son was busy drinking it. The lemon cheesecake was pretty good. Most lemon desserts are usually good. The carrot cake was moist and tasty. I guess the desserts made up for pacific grill. Should've just eaten here for our late night hunger. Maybe next time unless the bring back the buffet.

Updating my review after having ice cream and then eating in the Café. This place is hard to review with all the different aspects of a casino and their bakery being separate from the Café. 1 tiny scoop of white pistachio ice cream was ok, not the best I've had but it did have a lot of pistachios in it. 5.50 is pretty steep for a tiny scoop. Maybe it depends on who scoops it or if you leave them a tip when you pay before you get your ice cream . Lily looked for that on the receipt before scooping my ice cream. I really don't like that as a primary option when you pay with a card. I normally don't tip until after my service if I am satisfied. Sugar free chocolate cake 8.00. It was dense but a little dry, nice that it wasn't too sweet and didn't taste like artificial sweetner. But 8.00...$$$ come on...ugh Steak and eggs was just OK. The meat quality was meh but the clam chowder was EXCELLENT! Better then some I've had on fisherman's wharf in Monterey.

We tried Margaret's Cafe inside Jackson Casino. It was really good. We had the California Burger and the Margaret's Big BLT with a salad. The waitress (Cheri) was really nice and gave great customer service. I would have given 5 stars but because the location of the restaurant is inside the casino, it's hard to not smell the strong cigarette smoke. I would eat here again if I stopped by the Casino for sure.

Two hours of driving from the Bay Area to the beautiful foothills of Northern California. Margaret's C&B is located in the Jackson Rancheria and is an affordable cafe with a wide range of choices. Professional albeit understaffed, the servers do their best to get your food out to you quickly and politely. Funny as you'll have to wait on weekends for a table even though there are empty tables in the cafe. Suggest hiring or staffing two more on the busy weekends! Four stars if not for the wait for an available empty table. We wanted to try their weekend seafood buffet but had to pass due to seafood allergies of some in our group. Thus cafe for today. Ordered: - Pork Chop (6 oz loin), Homemade Pork Patty Sausage, Egg, Hash Browns, Toast for $8.95 (Bargain) - Two Tri-Tip Sandwich Weekend Specials for $12.95 each. Four adequate slices of Tri-Tip with a tangy-Spicy BBQ sauce, Sukotash, Biscuit, and Soup or Salad (Recommend the Salad) - Patty Melt and Fries for $12.95 MC&B is a good alternative to the weekend seafood buffet..... next time...

My family really comes to Jackson Rancheria a few times a year (in the RV park). We've gone up to the casino itself a couple of times just to use the coupons that one gets when checking in. We have never been overly impressed with the food but on this occasion, we noticed that an impossible burger was a substitution on for any regular burger, so we decided to give it a try. To our surprise, our server actually said that he needed to check if any were available in the kitchen as they are very popular and often sell out. Thankfully they had two for my family. Note that this option is seemingly new and not on many of the menu pictures here on yelp. I uploaded new menu pictures with this post. The impossible burger sub. is indeed a large burger, too. I was worried that the 1/2 lb. normal burger would be a small impossible burger. It was not. I hesitated to substitute the side salad for french fries with my burger. Often that results in a small pile of iceberg lettuce and a tomato wedge. The server said that it was a good salad and indeed it was. It was quality greens with carrots, cucumber, radish, and onions. And balsamic and oil was available as a dressing. It was great. The only downside to eating here is that it is open to the casino floor which means that the cigarette smoke drifts in. It's not like a cloud, but I could smell it throughout the dinner.

I went in with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. We went on a Saturday evening and were seated quickly. We then had a very friendly and knowledgable waiter serve us. I ordered an Impossible burger and a side salad. The salad was really good, it was a spring mix with cucumber, radish, red onion, and carrots. My Impossible burger was good. The only negative was the bun, it tasted like fluffy white bread, which is to say that it didn't taste of anything really. One of my children ordered scrambled eggs with fresh fruit, bacon, and a pancake. He loved his plate. I'm not a huge fan of pancakes, but this one was very good. My other son ordered a breakfast burrito with ham. He ate it but didn't love it. He said it was huge but didn't taste like much. Overall, we were impressed. The prices were great for the quantity and quality of the food. I would return the next time we're staying there.

The large pitcher which they serve from has big ripe strawberries. What a refreshing treat instead of plain or lemon water. My mom and I had a very nice breakfast, again the customer service was excellent and the woman owner chatted with us, was quite friendly and personable. Again she was just a delight. A Pleasant Surprise with a Small-Town Feel…read more This one caught me off guard--in a good way. I was out with my family practicing for my daughter's driving test at the DMV up the street. We pulled up Yelp to find a good lunch spot, saw the solid reviews, and decided to give it a try. When we walked in, the atmosphere had that small-town vibe--simple, welcoming, and comfortable. The food was very good. The service wasn't polished like a Michelin star restaurant, but it didn't need to be. It was authentic and heartfelt, and sometimes that matters more. You could tell the staff cared about what they were doing. The place was busy, especially for the time of day we went, which tells you something. People come here on purpose. That says a lot. We were seated quickly, our order was taken without any issues, and the food came out in a reasonable time. When it hit the table, the portions were generous and satisfying. I wish I had taken pictures, but I was too busy enjoying the moment. If you go, post your photos--I'm sure the business would appreciate it. If you've followed my reviews, you know I don't give out 4 stars often, and 5 stars are rare. This place earned that extra star because of how it made me feel--between the food, the atmosphere, and the service, it just worked. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm definitely coming back for another meal.

They kept them coming once we asked, and they were delicious every time. But we had to keep asking, and at one point, we almost gave up. That said, the service was pretty underwhelming, especially since the restaurant wasn't busy. We waited close to 20 minutes before getting our first drinks, even water. We had noted a special occasion on our reservation, but there wasn't really anything that made it feel acknowledged or special. We shared the skillet, and unfortunately it was extremely soggy. We literally poured liquid out of it multiple times. On the flip side, the lemon poppyseed waffle was a solid 10/10 and definitely the standout food item for us. I'm giving 3 stars because there's clearly potential here. The drinks were great, the waffle was amazing, and I do think this place could easily be a 5-star experience with more attentive service and a little more consistency in the kitchen. We'll definitely give it another try.

While the portion sizes are on the smaller side, they were balanced and filling for what we wanted (as well as very reasonably priced), and we ended our meal with an in-house baked oatmeal raisin cookie. The cookie was huge and packed with oats but still delicious, with the proper texture and not overly sweet. Our sandwiches were simple yet delicious, with fresh ingredients and bread. The clam chowder was the soup of the day and so so good, I love when clam chowder has potatoes with the skin still attached. Hotel Sutter Restaurant has been on my list of places to check out in our neck of the woods for a while. We for sure wanted a classy place that served cocktails, and Hotel Sutter fit the bill. Both of us were also craving a good craft burger, and from what I saw in other reviews, the burgers looked delicious. I made a reservation for us on OpenTable just in case, but since it was a weeknight I wasn't too concerned if we had walked in. We were seated nearly immediately, and our server cheerfully asked us what we wanted to drink besides good ole H2O. I was really glad we came to visit around Christmastime, since they were serving holiday cocktails and other beverages. I went with the partridge pear martini, while my husband went with the Santa's spiced cider. My martini was oh so delicious and perfectly strong, and I had a small sip of my husband's cider, which was refreshing with the perfect holiday-esque notes. We read a few mixed reviews on the apps, so went straight to the entrees instead. I chose the bacon jam burger and my husband chose the traveller whiskey burger. Both of us upgraded to the garlic rosemary seasoning. I went with fries and my husband went with tots. Honestly, we were glad that we didn't end up ordering an app, since the burgers themselves were pretty filling! We both asked for medium on the cook temp of our patties, and they delivered. The meat was perfectly juicy with a wonderful charred flavor. The bacon jam was so delicious, and the balsamic arugula paired perfectly with everything. My brioche bun was pillowy and yet did not fall apart with all the juices of the burger. I did not get a chance to try my husband's burger, but he stated that it was also top notch. My fries were piping hot, with a perfect dusting of garlic rosemary flavor and sprinkles of Parmesan cheese. I tried a tot and that was also delightfully crispy and flavorful. We asked for ranch and that went well with both sides. The ketchup was great as well. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Old buildings are always up my alley, and the rich history of Hotel Sutter can truly be felt simply by touching its brick walls (that is, if you believe in the spirit realm). I loved that each table had its own light, but the restaurant had the perfect dim setting for a classy date night. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and kept our waters refilled. We had a concern regarding the pricing of the cider on the bill vs on the menu and that was fixed immediately, with the rest of the staff notified for future reference. It was a tiny discrepancy, but one that we caught quickly and simply wanted to bring up. Hotel Sutter Restaurant is definitely on our places to return to in the future, and I'd love to sit on the balcony some other time and enjoy some brunch and mimosas. If you're looking for an excuse for date night or are just feeling fancy, definitely come relax, sip some delicious cocktails, and enjoy the delicious food Hotel Sutter Restaurant has to offer!
