Dipped in two nights while staying at the RV Park. Had the burger one night and a Patty Melt the next night. Both cooked good. My wife had the chicken fried steak. She really enjoyed it. Service is good and the atmosphere is chill. Clean place.

Review is for the bakery. After our experience with pacific grill, we decided to go to this spot in the casino for some dessert. The girl at the counter was very patience and friendly. We ordered a carrot cake, a lemon cheesecake, and a s'mores milkshake. The milkshake was good. Thick and rich. I don't take a photo of it cause my son was busy drinking it. The lemon cheesecake was pretty good. Most lemon desserts are usually good. The carrot cake was moist and tasty. I guess the desserts made up for pacific grill. Should've just eaten here for our late night hunger. Maybe next time unless the bring back the buffet.

Updating my review after having ice cream and then eating in the Café. This place is hard to review with all the different aspects of a casino and their bakery being separate from the Café. 1 tiny scoop of white pistachio ice cream was ok, not the best I've had but it did have a lot of pistachios in it. 5.50 is pretty steep for a tiny scoop. Maybe it depends on who scoops it or if you leave them a tip when you pay before you get your ice cream . Lily looked for that on the receipt before scooping my ice cream. I really don't like that as a primary option when you pay with a card. I normally don't tip until after my service if I am satisfied. Sugar free chocolate cake 8.00. It was dense but a little dry, nice that it wasn't too sweet and didn't taste like artificial sweetner. But 8.00...$$$ come on...ugh Steak and eggs was just OK. The meat quality was meh but the clam chowder was EXCELLENT! Better then some I've had on fisherman's wharf in Monterey.

We tried Margaret's Cafe inside Jackson Casino. It was really good. We had the California Burger and the Margaret's Big BLT with a salad. The waitress (Cheri) was really nice and gave great customer service. I would have given 5 stars but because the location of the restaurant is inside the casino, it's hard to not smell the strong cigarette smoke. I would eat here again if I stopped by the Casino for sure.

Two hours of driving from the Bay Area to the beautiful foothills of Northern California. Margaret's C&B is located in the Jackson Rancheria and is an affordable cafe with a wide range of choices. Professional albeit understaffed, the servers do their best to get your food out to you quickly and politely. Funny as you'll have to wait on weekends for a table even though there are empty tables in the cafe. Suggest hiring or staffing two more on the busy weekends! Four stars if not for the wait for an available empty table. We wanted to try their weekend seafood buffet but had to pass due to seafood allergies of some in our group. Thus cafe for today. Ordered: - Pork Chop (6 oz loin), Homemade Pork Patty Sausage, Egg, Hash Browns, Toast for $8.95 (Bargain) - Two Tri-Tip Sandwich Weekend Specials for $12.95 each. Four adequate slices of Tri-Tip with a tangy-Spicy BBQ sauce, Sukotash, Biscuit, and Soup or Salad (Recommend the Salad) - Patty Melt and Fries for $12.95 MC&B is a good alternative to the weekend seafood buffet..... next time...

My family really comes to Jackson Rancheria a few times a year (in the RV park). We've gone up to the casino itself a couple of times just to use the coupons that one gets when checking in. We have never been overly impressed with the food but on this occasion, we noticed that an impossible burger was a substitution on for any regular burger, so we decided to give it a try. To our surprise, our server actually said that he needed to check if any were available in the kitchen as they are very popular and often sell out. Thankfully they had two for my family. Note that this option is seemingly new and not on many of the menu pictures here on yelp. I uploaded new menu pictures with this post. The impossible burger sub. is indeed a large burger, too. I was worried that the 1/2 lb. normal burger would be a small impossible burger. It was not. I hesitated to substitute the side salad for french fries with my burger. Often that results in a small pile of iceberg lettuce and a tomato wedge. The server said that it was a good salad and indeed it was. It was quality greens with carrots, cucumber, radish, and onions. And balsamic and oil was available as a dressing. It was great. The only downside to eating here is that it is open to the casino floor which means that the cigarette smoke drifts in. It's not like a cloud, but I could smell it throughout the dinner.

I went in with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. We went on a Saturday evening and were seated quickly. We then had a very friendly and knowledgable waiter serve us. I ordered an Impossible burger and a side salad. The salad was really good, it was a spring mix with cucumber, radish, red onion, and carrots. My Impossible burger was good. The only negative was the bun, it tasted like fluffy white bread, which is to say that it didn't taste of anything really. One of my children ordered scrambled eggs with fresh fruit, bacon, and a pancake. He loved his plate. I'm not a huge fan of pancakes, but this one was very good. My other son ordered a breakfast burrito with ham. He ate it but didn't love it. He said it was huge but didn't taste like much. Overall, we were impressed. The prices were great for the quantity and quality of the food. I would return the next time we're staying there.

Very good service, pleasant atmosphere, good food. The only issue was the smell of cigarettes from the gaming area.

Nothing beats grabbing an iced coffee on a lovely spring afternoon…read more I was in Jackson for some errands and wanted to check out the local coffee shop. It's been on my list for a while, but every time I wanted to go, it's been closed. Be forewarned that Boilerworks closes at 3 pm daily. The cafe sits in a quiet area at the end of Main Street, so it can be somewhat easy to miss. I ordered one of their specialty drinks, dubbed The Artemus, which is a hazelnut dirty chai with caramel sauce. There were no photos on Yelp showing the current menu and prices (until now as I'm sharing a photo of the menu), so I was a bit surprised by the cost of my drink. For a small town, I wasn't expecting to pay almost $10 for my chai. Note that I'm used to higher drink prices as I have plenty of boba, but none of my boba drinks have ever cost $10, however. I took it with a grain of salt and chalked it up to supporting a local small business. The nice lady/cafe owner made my Artemus for me super quickly, as I was the only customer. Her black Lab, which was adorable, was sleeping by her desk when I walked in. Upon receiving my drink, I took a seat outside at one of the metal stools. I didn't see the bookstore featured in the Yelp photos, so next time I'll have to return to check it out. The Artemus had a good flavor and thankfully, for the price, my cup was not full of ice (like some other big chain coffee place *cough cough*). Also, the iced drinks only come in one size (20 oz). To be fair, I think the drink is worth the price as it's definitely not watered down and it's taking me a while to finish it (currently typing this review while birdwatching on our property). All in all, while the prices are a bit steep, I would still recommend Boilerworks Cafe, and it's conveniently in downtown Jackson right off the 49.

We went here on Mother's Day as our regular spot down the road (Thomi's) was packed. We were met by a young waiter right away and directed to a table. We were given our drinks in a reasonable time and then our order was taken. As is my habit with a new place, I glanced at my watch when he left to place our order. It took approximately 18 minutes to get our appetizer and 30 minutes for our main order, a hamburger and chef salad. The burger was dry and rather tasteless as though there were zero seasoning, not even salt. My wife said her salad was OK, no hardboiled egg, and nothing you couldn't whip up at home in about 5 minutes. No one came back to check on our food during the meal until the owner came by when we were almost finished. We told her everything was fine because we just wanted to leave. She asked if we wanted a refill on our drinks which were now nearly empty. She indicated she would send someone by to refill them. We saw no one until the waiter brought the check by without asking about a refill. This place needs to tighten up considerably before I would even think of going back. The best burgers in town? When trying a new place, I always ask for a recommendation. The waiter recommended either the Bacon burger, or the Western Bacon BBQ burger. I tried the later and was stunned by how bland it was. It looked good, it wasn't missing anything, it was juicy and cooked properly, but it had absolutely no flavor. All I tasted was ground beef. The secondary flavor was bun. I have no idea how they pulled this off. It has bacon and BBQ sauce, how am I not tasting it over the bun and meat? Assuming I used all the same ingredients, I don't think I could reproduce such a bland burger if I tried. I only managed to eat half of it before my stomach was so full of dissapointment, I resigned myself to munching on the fries and bumming a bite of my girlfriends equally bland classic club. I did complain, though my complaints were met with a defensive tone as if there were something wrong with me. The lady said she never got any complaints. I suppose her customers just politely lied and didn't bother to return, considering it was dead on an early Sunday afternoon. My complaint did prompt a neighboring table to voice their dismay, echoing the same sentiment I did. Bland burger. "Needs more jazz" she said.
