    Ceasars salad! Yum!

Super good food, ample portions. Excellent service. On historic main street. I had a pastrami Ruben and wife had a ceasar sale. Cute, homey interior. A great value for the money!

What a great new addition to Main Street in Jackson. Dropped in and ordered the pomegranate salad and my friend ordered the BLT. Both items were fresh and delicious. The bacon on the BLT was the perfect crispness and the bread yummy and toasted. The salad was giving wonderful winter vibes and the balsamic dressing complimented the fruits perfectly. The deli is beautiful and offers an assortment of sandwiches or you can build your own. The desserts looked delicious and I can't wait to come back and try some. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend this deli!

Laughton's deli is by far my new favorite lunch spot. Daily specials, fresh amazing food and kind staff make this a business i fully support. Maddie at the front counter is extremely sweet and helpful. Ed (I think that's his name) will deliver your food directly to Saloon 1848 down the street. Must try the Pesto chicken, tri tip, and pastrami Reuben sandwiches! Very cost effective and beyond delicious. You'll be seeing me there more often. (I've been there three times this week, can't stop, won't stop!)

Good food, the most awkward atmosphere ever although. Workers weren't very friendly. I wouldn't go in and order for sure.

Nice lady and was there when you needed her to be. I got the Pasta Milano and loved it. Alot of sauce which I enjoy. It has pepper flakes and tends to be a little hot. You can have them adjust the amount of heat. My wife had the Mushroom and Spinach Raviolis. She really liked them. I tried one and it was darn good. I had the split pea soup for a starter, and it was good. My wife had a side salad and enjoyed it. Clean place, pleasant atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.

In all my years of waitressing and working in an Italian restaurant, I would never have thought it…read morewas acceptable to serve food in that condition. A proper sear adds flavor, but actual char is bitter and completely overpowers the Marsala wine and mushrooms. Large areas of burnt crust aren't just a cosmetic issue--they ruin the dish and should be replaced, not served to a customer. What made it even more disappointing was that I was expecting a fine dining experience. Instead, I've honestly received better food quality and service at much more casual restaurants. Everyone else at my table enjoyed their meals, so unfortunately I seem to have been the exception, but that doesn't make it acceptable. I left feeling frustrated and confused as to how this plate ever made it out of the kitchen. Thank you for your response. I understand restaurants appreciate the opportunity to correct issues while customers are still there. My concern wasn't that the chicken had "grill marks" or that I didn't understand what Chicken Marsala is. The sauce and mushrooms covered the chicken, so I didn't realize how badly it was burnt until I had already taken several bites. Once I moved the sauce aside, I found it was charred to the point that it tasted burnt and was inedible, which is why I left the meal exactly as shown in my photo. I left because I was disappointed, not because I wanted to leave a negative review. Calling me a "keyboard warrior" instead of addressing the condition of the food or why it even came out of the kitchen in that condition in the first place only reinforces why I felt compelled to share my experience at your establishment.

A Pleasant Surprise with a Small-Town Feel…read more This one caught me off guard--in a good way. I was out with my family practicing for my daughter's driving test at the DMV up the street. We pulled up Yelp to find a good lunch spot, saw the solid reviews, and decided to give it a try. When we walked in, the atmosphere had that small-town vibe--simple, welcoming, and comfortable. The food was very good. The service wasn't polished like a Michelin star restaurant, but it didn't need to be. It was authentic and heartfelt, and sometimes that matters more. You could tell the staff cared about what they were doing. The place was busy, especially for the time of day we went, which tells you something. People come here on purpose. That says a lot. We were seated quickly, our order was taken without any issues, and the food came out in a reasonable time. When it hit the table, the portions were generous and satisfying. I wish I had taken pictures, but I was too busy enjoying the moment. If you go, post your photos--I'm sure the business would appreciate it. If you've followed my reviews, you know I don't give out 4 stars often, and 5 stars are rare. This place earned that extra star because of how it made me feel--between the food, the atmosphere, and the service, it just worked. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm definitely coming back for another meal.

The Duke was open in the basement of the old hotel at the end of the block. We walked in and it had classic old steakhouse vibe. A dark wood bar area and a lighter dining area. We were the only one in this place. It was kinda awkward. We were seated in the bar. The hostess was the waitress and the bartender. There was someone in the back vacuuming with a shop vac on high for our entire visit. We ordered the fried pickles, the BLAT with steak fries and a Caesar salad. All of the food was really good. The service was not. When the pickles came we were not given napkins, utensils, or plates. The waitress disappeared into the back. We were able to find some napkins on the bar. The next time we saw her she put the food down and we asked for the napkins. She never came back by to ask about refill on soda or water. She asked if I wanted catsup and I said yes. She put an empty container down. If I found myself in Jackson again. This would not be the place.
