She finished the drink and slid it over with no lid. She said they don't use lids because people might want to add things to their drink, but there was nothing available for customers to add The positives were my drink was good, and the shop is clean with nice merch, but don't expect friendly, helpful service or to feel like your dollar is wanted.

I came in twice since the new owners and regret it badly. Something that's never been a problem before. The matcha is like the cheapest and lowest possible quality they can server compared to their old stuff. Their baked goods are probably from target or something and they used to be homemade. You can tell that the new owners just want cut costs and squeeze every little bit of profit from the business as possible. When I asked how the new owners were the person at the register made a visibly indifferent face when they were describing them. So I guess it's safe to assume the new owners are also putting the workers through it as well. Summary: New owners are greedy and suck, traded quality and previous store culture for their pockets.

There's a nice seating area - you can usually find a spot to sit unless it's peak times on the weekend. They have a selection of pastries from local spots and some toast/sandwich offerings. I use their overtone beans at home (they also offer a cup of coffee with each purchase of a bag of beans), but when I'm in the shop I love getting a cortado, cold brew with cold foam, or lattes. They offer fun seasonal drinks - some of my recent favorites were blackberry rhubarb latte, pumpkin cream cold brew, & cherry mocha! You can also follow their instagram for occasional super-limited drinks like a "cup of dirt" dessert inspired cold brew they did for Halloween weekend.
