We contracted with Mojave to host our parents' 50th anniversary party. Everyone, from parents, to out of town family, to kids, was impressed. The food was great, the service attentive, and the decor beautiful. I would only point out a few things for improvement--basics like salt and pepper, extra napkins, and a little more attention after they realized our group wouldn't be drinking alcohol (we let them know ahead of time). Came here tonight for the first time tonight and it was interesting. Server was very nice and attentive with refills, but did ask us for our names and used them to address us when he came back for refills which was weird. I ordered the street tacos and I was very disappointed. The chicken was thin and flavorless. They only used one tortilla so the tacos fell apart easily. The rice and beans were bland. Not to mention the food was very overpriced. I had 75% of my food leftover and didn't even take it to-go because I didn't see myself eating it later. Will not be returning any time soon read more

Great margarita's and bar vibe! I love the large selection of flavors (try the passion fruit SO good!) and the fact you can get a sampler of four different 8 oz margaritas to help make your decision. Three stars because the drinks were great! Waitress never put in our food order and somehow never noticed. She hardly checked back on us so we weren't able to let her know we didn't want it anymore for an hour and a half after tables around us had come and gone and eaten. We are all servers or have been and couldn't understand how you wouldn't notice for that long. We expected to have food with our massive drinks and ended up feeling pretty sick since we didn't get the food. She comped the food and gave it to us for free but it was pretty sorry looking when we got it (street tacos). Had an enjoyable experience with a girlfriend recently. Ordered the chunky guac and some bean dip, as we weren't quite as hungry for the full dinner menu. Waitress was attentive and pleasant, while being busy in the bar area (we were sat in the booth area). One thing that left a sour taste in my mouth, was after the fact, I checked my charges for the dinner on my bank account. It wasn't charged the amount I left on my receipt. I think it shows dishonestly by that employee because I know that I have CLEAR handwriting. I called with no manager in, so who knows if my complaint will really make it back to management. I frequent this restaurant and love it, but always watching your bank account is just good advice for anyone. UPDATE: I did receive a message from the manager. I am satisfied that management has been notified about this issue that happened. I do plan to keep returning to this establishment. read more

From the moment you walk in the vibe is great. Attentive hostess and wonderful wait staff. The food follows suite well prepared and flavorful. The chunky guacamole may be the best I've had to be honest definitely recommend for an appetizer. The house salsa is the least favorite part forme a little runny with room for improvement beyond that everything was well prepared and served with a smile. Great place for GF Mexican options in Gresham! I love that they clearly label things on their menu and the food quality is always good. Went in for lunch with friends. Service was good, my problem was with the food. Fish tacos, seemingly without an fish in them. We decided that these are really avocado tacos and ridiculously overpriced. "The works" add on is only a tiny dollop of sour cream and guacamole with a teaspoon of salsa. Not worth it. All 4 tacos were ordered on corn tortillas, but the shrimp came on flour; the carnitas were extremely dry; and both meals were cold, even though I arrived when I was told dinner would be ready to be picked up. Shady business practice!!! We were "regulars" at this restaurant, visiting at least once a month, but after today we will not be coming back. They included the 18% tip in the final bill without notifying me, and then provided the credit card receipt, which has a gratuity section. Naturally I left 15% tip, making the tip left over 40%(I left tip on the amount including the already charged tip). I did not noticed this right then, and I will not be going back. In addition, portions are becoming smaller and service is definitely not worth a 40% tip. read more

I love eating at Mojave's and go here pretty frequently with friends and family. The food is always delicious and never disappoints. If you can get seated in Manuel's section I highly recommend it! He is always on top of it and is excellent at remembering and recommending a delicious meal or drink to get. When I go I usually just tell Manuel to surprise me with a delicious drink and i'm never disappointed!
