The atmosphere is cool. It's pretty laid back. Food and drinks are overpriced. The cocktails are too sweet and tasted like they didn't have alcohol. One of the plates of food we received had a hair in it. The reason I have the restaurant two stars was because they corrected the hair issue by taking some money off. Been here on several occasions (to watch a game with friends, happy hour, busy weekend nights with the family, etc...) so I feel I have a good overall opinion in a variety of different situations. I eat a lot of Mexican food and am very impressed with not only the authentic flavors, but also the quality ingredients used in their dishes. The atmosphere in the bar is fun and lively and the place you want to be to catch some happy hour or sports (best restaurant sports bar for sure)! The servers are attentive and seem really happy in general. The restaurant side is more intimate and a great spot for families to enjoy meals as they are very catering to kids which is a huge plus for me and my wife. Overall, I've had really positive experiences here and always bring others here and recommend it to friends. read more

I quit eating there about a year ago because the service was so poos. But we tried it again this week (because we like the food) and nothing had changed. We were seated in the bar area about 4:00 on Tuesday so not many people, it took 13 minutes for somebody to come and get our drink order, which we ordered food at the same time because we had a LONG time to look at the menu. I was hopeful that they had changed but still the same very bad service, we were never offered another drink until we were ready to leave and had to flag somebody down to get our bill. Terrible service. The service has definitely gone down hill. Everyone is too busy to help. The staff don't even look at you, they just yell in your direction. Yesterday (1/21/18) was our first time trying this place out. First service was horrible, they got part of our order wrong and was never asked for refills on our drinks. Next, food was horrible, no flavor and overpriced for their portions. The amount of beans that they serve is ridiculous (knowingly that beans are very cheap). Rice was very greasy. Will never return. I usually come for happy hour but had dinner there with some new friends on Saturday and ordered the $15.99 fish tacos. They were busy and the food took nearly an hour to come. When it did, the fish was so salty that it was inedible. I like salt as much as the next person, but this was awful. The small amount of beans on the plate were smothered in salty cheese and rice was salty too. I've never been inclined to post a negative review of any restaurant before but the service tonight was horrible. We had a party of seven which should not have been a challenge. All of our food was served at different times. We had several mistakes on our orders, cold food, and one person ended up having their food boxed to go because everyone else had finished before their dinner arrived. This includes times of single plates coming out of the kitchen sporadically for our table. The bartender was too busy with his buddies at the bar to ensure we received good service. Really great food. Some of the best salsa I've ever had. Usually after eating Mexican, I leave feeling kind of "heavy" but that was not the case here! The food here is good, way better than Carretas that is for sure. I grew up and lived in Southern California for 36 years before moving here so my opinion of "authentic" Mexican food is slanted due to that. My favorite Mexican food is chili rellenos and they are good but the way they are made appears to be a layer of cooked scrambled egg wrapped around the chile. The way I make them at home, which I believe to be more authentic, is to dip the chiles in the whipped egg white and fry. More work? Yes, but it's worth it. I have Only been here once but the food was excellent, service was great and the vibe was nice. I ordered the carne asada burrito and I definitely wasn't disappointed it was giant and super filling! My boyfriend had the cheese enchiladas and he enjoyed them as well. I went to go a second time on. Food was good, except for the service. The waitstaff assumed we didn't speak English and proceeded to excuse their ignorance as if it was an insignificant misunderstanding. Not only was this disrespectful, it took more than 20 minutes to acknowledge this inappropriate error. Because of this, I don't think we will ever come back to this restaurant. Absolutely the worst meal & service I've had in a very long time. I came in on a Thursday night at 9pm & sat at the bar. It was not busy at all. Unfortunately that didn't stop the bar tender from taking over 5 minutes to come take our drink order. After ordering it took another 5 minutes to get 2 beers. The servers and bartender (5+of them) were too busy cleaning glasses to seem to care. After another 5 min we had to ask for water. Meantime we ran out of chips & salsa ( never refilled!!!). When we got the lack luster food, it was just warm. Not good at all, especially for the price. I've had better food at Taco Bell!!! To top it off, "Computer issues"added to a long wait to even get our bill. Which by the way, I only got after placing my card on the table and waiting close to 7 minutes. I will not be back. An old friend and I met up in Gresham, both of us live out of the area. We went to Mojave on a whim. It was a Saturday night about 8:00 PM. The place was packed, noisy and casual. For starters we were served the standard chips and salsa, we asked for, pico de gallo as well- it was delicious. Next we ordered drinks: my friend a 32 ounce from the tap Negro Modelo can't go wrong there -and for me a "small" margarita- and though there was a full array of top shelf tequila I chose one of the house brands- it was very good, and there was no skimping on the tequila. The small was too much for me, I was only able to drink about 1/2. I ordered the street tacos, two with Carne Asada and two with Pastor. The beef was cooked just right and had good solid flavor. The pastor was on a whole other level, super tender and moist, hints of sweet and tang- it was by far the best pastor I have ever tasted. The rice and beans were very good as well. My friend had a steak salad he was impressed and declared it excellent between bites. The service was good if a bit distracted, but it was very busy. I will definitely stop in again when I am in Gresham. Overall the food quality was great and the service above average. read more
