This is a hidden gem located in Arlington. The team is always friendly and welcoming. The food is authentic and well prepared. The location is connected to a plaza so very limited parking. It's a smaller place but still enough seating for a small party. I mostly order takeout but look forward to dine in to experience the restaurant fully. read more

What a huge disappointment. This was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. The Mexican food was terrible, and the margaritas tasted like they had little to no tequila in them. We ordered the sampler platter, and it was so bad that we could barely eat any of it. Even the chips and salsa were disappointing. The restaurant itself felt dirty, and the bathroom was out of toilet paper. The water served at our table had a dark, unpleasant color that made us uncomfortable drinking it. The overall cleanliness and atmosphere left a lot to be desired. Our waiter was polite, but communication was very difficult because he spoke very little English, which made the dining experience even more frustrating. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. I will never return. I honestly don't understand how a restaurant operating at this level stays in business. There are far better places to spend your money. They should close this place down it's that bad!! read more

This review is going to be a mixed bag. We decided to pop in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. We were the only patrons in the building. The staffer seared us quickly and got our initial drink order. Chips were brought to the table, which were a bit stale but passable and salsa was also presented. The salsa is a bit thin for my liking but my grandson liked it. We proceeded to wait on the staffer to come back after dropping off drinks and then disappearing. We watched him walk into the parking lot and from there we didn't see the staffer for another 10 minutes. Smoke break? I don't know. We got margaritas; Yum! 4 of us dined and only one of us was unhappy with their food. The taco salad had massive amounts of runny beans which broke the taco shell down too quickly. I would suggest lining the taco bowl with lettuce. And thicken up the beans. The shrimp with queso and rice was delicious! I am rating 4/5 for mostly good food but weird service. read more

We had an excellent meal at Ricos! We enjoyed everything we ate - especially my kids who were so enthusiastic about the fajita plate they shared! They loved being able to construct their own fajitas and loved the way the food tasted. A major plus for me at any restaurant is whenever they carry Coke products and I was happy Ricos did!! Our server was attentive and everything came out correct and in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is pretty small and straightforward but one of the best features had to be the artwork on the wall - it was lovely. Chips & salsa were delicious. I called and spoke to the manager and he was very dismissive. Mind you: I even tried explaining the their menu's wording is misleading in both English AND Spanish! The conversion went nowhere. Would really rate as 3.5 stars. Really really wanted to love this place, it's so close to my house. The food is decent, not great, not bad. The cheese dip is very good, service is very good, but the main menu items are pricy and basic. It seems the quality of food is good, fairly tender chicken and beef, tortillas fresh, etc, but there's no seasoning or flavor. Had chicken tacos that tasted like boiled chicken in a plain tortilla with a sprinkle of grilled onions and grated cheddar. The others said the same about their burrito and the carnitas. Rice and beans were plain Jane. Would be perfect place for my mother in law who thinks a little black pepper is super spicy and salt should be banned. 3rd time trying them and it's the same thing. Somehow, I have never spent under $60, definitely pricy for the experience. read more

I just stopped in to eat some tacos. The tacos were very good only smaller size tortillas ordered three the bill ran about $10 I was served chips and a good salsa. I visited with a friend. We were excited to try a new restaurant in town. It was really a let down. The chips & salsa were OK. The margarita's were mostly sweet n sour mix. While my friend did enjoy the flavor of her carnitas taco, I was sorely disappointed with the taco salad. I'll post a photo - there was maybe 2 tablespoons of beef inside the crispy tortilla, a sprinkle of lettuce, a splash of sour cream & lots and lots of liquid/water from lettuce/grease. Sadly just not original. If you're going to oversaturate a small area/small town with multiple Mexican Restaurants then each needs to have a unique menu. Unfortunately they don't. Adding "Ritas" to the name doesn't do anything for them either. You can get margaritas at the other three restaurants as well. This was the last thing Arlington needed. And don't think I'm bashing them because they're a Mexican eatery either. 4 Asian, 4 German, 4 bistros, 4 bakeries, 4 of the same thing in a town as small as Arlington..while not offering much other culinary fare outside of fast food is just ridiculous. Not good for the town, not good for the restaurants, not good for businesses, not good for the people of Arlington. I wish this place the best, but after checking it out I don't see it lasting long. If it does, then good for them, but I would then hope that since they're doing well ... 2 of the remaining 3 would move on. Arlington definitely lacks in diversity when it comes to restaurants and starting out of the gate as subpar won't help this location much at all. read more

Cmon people really? Ordered the carnitas dinner expecting moist chopped up pork with awesome rice and beans. Yeah no. What I got was whole deep fried pork pieces, tough as crap. Geeeeeeez man cmon. Daughter got the steak burrito dinner and was terrible seasoning. Good luck but this cat won't be back here. I think it's a sister restaurant from another crappy Mexican restaurant we have in town. I visited this place twice. First visit, ordered "to go" very disappointed in the food item. Very Spicy, Grilled Chicken was extremely dry ... and the side order of guacamole was very salty. I ended up having to discard it all. Second visit , ordered a chicken taco, it's the 4"!! Very disappointed. nothing but a tablespoon worth of dried chicken and cilantro. Nothing else was on the taco......VERY DISAPPPOINTED in their food and this place!!! Not everyone wants everything spicy, or excessive cilantro ( I love cilantro though, but I know several people who don't) I do not plan to return. read more
