Good hang out place while waiting for shore excursions. We decided to try this place after the tour and coming from TX---this spot charged the most for tacos! Staff was rude when we pointed out Tacos shouldn't cost that much. No free chips even! I mean what! Anyway, watermelon jelly shots were separate sold for 3 dollars I think.

This place is so sad. The cruises we were on didn't dock here so we decided to walk over. There were no people here, which is to be expected. What wasn't expected was the cost of everything. Holy cow this place is expensive. Do yourself a favor and just find a local place to eat. The atmosphere is a little sad. It reminds me of the good times, but it fails to deliver. Food is OK and servers are eager to help.

Fun place to visit. Great times we had here. You need to stop by when you are here visiting.

Pricey but good food, live music and great service. Right off the ship docks for the Royal Caribbean village we had decided to pass on Margaritaville for something more authentic but the cruise village only had a variety of chain Mexican restaurants to choose from like Senior Frogs. Frogs is too loud and two hot. We ended up heading back to the ship for lunch but stopped in Margaritaville instead because we wanted fish tacos. We got a nice shady spot on the edge, close to the mariachi band which was pretty good. Fish tacos were good with options for corn or flower tortillas. Mild with three salsas and sliced lime wedges. The sauces were mildly medium not hot. We also opted for the table side guacamole so it would be made the way we like it. Service was fast. Only drawback was they only had Pepsi black which is Aspartame sweetened instead of Pepsi zero and no other light or diet drinks. My wife had the fresh mango lemonade which was good.

I had no intention of even stopping into Cozumel's Margaritaville, but the legendary Jimmy Buffet passed away on this day, so I had to have one in his honor. What am I saying, I definitely had more than one. In many ways, this Margaritaville was no different than so many others I have been to, other than the fact that it was located in a port. Now, this last fact does change things quite a bit, as in away, the atmosphere was simply just an extension of the cruise ship. I was the only one at the bar paying in pesos, and everyone else was on their way to see the rest of the island before ship curfew. Another thing that I noticed is that they need to update the pics from their website. Those pictures are from a time when Margaritaville use to be closer to town. Honestly, I was a little disappointed, as the old location looked so much better. However, what did keep me stuck in Margaritaville was my two bartenders Wendy and Oskarina. This two gems served up some pretty tasty cocktails and pointed out merchandise deals that saved the day. For example, for just a few pesos more than the price of a margarita, I could purchase a Margaritaville steel tumbler, and my first margarita was free. This was a no brainer....I left with several. They also has me engaged and entertain, reminding of some of my favorite mixologists from home. Now, something I did find troubling was how this outside bar lacked fans for its staff. I was there for some time, so I was able to watch the melt. I called the manger that yes the fans for the customers were all very nice, but the bartenders got none of that air. I also pointed out that with cooler and other equipment, the temps behind the bar were considerably higher than my side of the bar. Finally, I pointed out that to instal two fans over the bar it would cost than a hundred bucks... I'm sure Jimmy wouldn't want his employees to suffer while they were serving up some delicious margaritas. The manager assured me that they would take care of it. I plan to go back in a week and change this review to five stars if they do

The place was loud and lively with all the music and a few anniversary celebration from fellow cruisers! We stopped by to cool down and have a little snack before heading back to our ship. Chris and I shared a plate of the best fish tacos we've ever had! It had tons of flavorful crispy fried cod! We also ordered Guacamole and chips and they made the guac in front of us!

This review will be as quick as my visit was. I came in after the Carnival cruise docked on the port for Mexico. Everything here is really rushed because it's a port and many travelers are rushing to get food in their tummies before going on excursions. The food was rushed and kind of cold -- I had the build your own tortillas platter, but it wasn't authentic. The music here was American, I love the United States, but if I'm traveling somewhere outside of the states, I want to hear their music and submerge myself in their culture instead. My favorite thing from the visit was getting my drink because I could get free refills and it was super delicious! Highly recommend the frozen drinks! Also, there's these three men that come over and start singing and they won't leave your table unless you tip. If you don't want to tip or are saving cash to buy souvenirs, I suggest being vocal and telling them no. If you don't know spanish, wave your hands with adamant no. If you do speak the native tongue, simply say, "Muchas gracias, pero no quiero música!". That should do the trick! Happy Travels

Then, on the day of our reservation, the guys decided they wanted to join us too - suddenly we were a group of 21! La Sirena graciously accommodated all of us without missing a beat. I had pre-ordered appetizers- delicious roasted Cheese Saganaki, Fried Calamari, Tirokafteri, Tzatziki + 4 or 5 more, including mac and cheese. Every one of them was a hit! I was covering for the group, and from there the staff took everyone's individual drink and additional food orders and even helped us manage separate checks. With a group that large, that alone is impressive! The service was fabulous, the food was excellent, the sunset atmosphere was beautiful, and the live band was fantastic. We had such a fun night. But it didn't stop there. A few days later, we chartered a fishing boat and came back with mahi-mahi, amberjack, and porgy. We brought our catch to La Sirena, and they prepared it for us - grilled and fried - and served it with fries and an absolutely fantastic salad for only $15 per person! It was delicious and an incredible value. My picture does not do it justice - it was excellent! They even helped package all of our leftover fish into separate containers so we could take it back to our hotel and share it with members of our group who hadn't gone fishing. And THEN there was the margarita glass! We loved La Sirena so much that we bought one of their beautiful handmade margarita glasses to bring home. Sadly, despite our best efforts, it was completely crushed during our trip home. I reached out to Anthony, and he was wonderful. He worked with me to arrange for a replacement glass to be shipped safely to us with insurance. That level of customer service -especially after we'd already returned home -says so much about this restaurant and the people who work there. From accommodating our last-minute group of 21, to the wonderful service and live music, to preparing our freshly caught fish, to helping replace our treasured margarita glass, La Sirena truly went above and beyond for us again and again. We can't say enough good things about this place. If you're visiting Puerto Morelos, do yourself a favor and go to La Sirena. Great food, wonderful people, fantastic atmosphere, and some of the best service we experienced during our entire trip. Thank you, La Sirena and Anthony, for helping make our trip so memorable. We will absolutely be back!

Wait staff was absolutely clueless at basic server etiquette and the 1-2-3s of waiting tables. The stereo was blasting some really annoying music so loud that I had a headache a few minutes in. The burgers are obviously frozen patties from Sam's Club that are probably cooked on a George Forman grill. The fries are decent but I don't understand why they can't master the burger part first. The entire restaurant staff seemed to think this was a party, as they socialized on the sidewalk while I was eating my "meal". Terrible quality, terrible service, terrible experience, and not a restaurant per se, but a social club for awkward foreigners who don't want to own a restaurant! On the "watch out for food poisoning" list without a doubt!!!
