The jest of this review is to simply state that these people need to go to school and take a "HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE IN TODAY'S WORLD...Respect and Courtesy Course 101". Despite feeling as if I was being monitored by the BEAGLE Nazi's with each step I took, despite the inconvenience on the way the sale is run from a buyer's point of view, despite the ridiculously high prices, despite the countless other issues we had....I'll focus on a basic concept....to treat each other with respect!! First, I was yelled at and accused of not wearing my mask properly, told she wouldn't answer my question until I had it on properly, then I was accused of not having it on at all when I entered the home....all this despite the fact that I stopped and talked to the police officer who was sitting at the entry who NEVER had an issue with my mask and the way I was wearing it!! Not to mention that another male employee promptly grabbed my elbow and pushed me away from the table when I tried to rebuttal her accusations against me!! We went ahead and shopped the sale regardless of my frustration and disgust...only to have my daughter treated like she was trash by the same woman who had yelled at me. Guess this woman feels so inadequate about her own personal appearance and weight issues that to have a beautiful, vibrant 19-year-old young lady approach her for payment.... must have thrown her totally out of kilter. So, I thought I'd be nice and make a call to their office today and had the honor of having my call answered by Jennifer....yes, the owner's daughter. The nastiness and curtness in her voice just for the effort of answering the phone was blatantly obvious - just like Deja Vue. WOW - hollered at and told "what do you want - I'm at an estate sale". When I told her that I wasn't sure who I needed to talk to but would like to speak to someone about a complaint....ARE YOU READY FOR THIS....YES, I was told "I could take my complaint and stick it where the sun don't shine"...and then hung up on!! As the saying goes, the apple doesn't fall far from the apple tree!!! Or, perhaps when you're employed and protected by mommy - you have NO accountability to ANYONE on how you treat people!! I know shopping estate sales can be a much enjoyed and pleasurable experience....because I've shopped MANY!! We will NEVER shop another sale that is organized by Margie Beegle!! I honestly believe some dealers are asking their customers to write bad reviews of Margie Beegle Sales in an effort at boosting traffic at their own estate sales. I attend estate sales at least once a week... usually 3 or 4 different sales on a Saturday. I always choose Margie Beagle's sale to attend first because her sales are well known to be outstanding in the quality of merchandise. There are signs everywhere addressing EVERY 'complaint' I've seen on these reviews and there are very good reasons for having those rules. The rules are also clearly printed on her website and on every flyer she emails. Basically... no children 15 & under AND no help from staff moving anything. I mean, can't get much simpler or more straight forward. Fact is, nobody should find it necessary to have the 'rules' read to them again... and again... and again. As far as referring to Jennifer as 'that witch Jennifer'... it is my opinion that statement reflects more on the person who made it rather than on Jennifer. You have no idea what goes on behind the scenes at some of those sales. Customers are extremely rude to staff all the time... I've witnessed it again and again. I've been attending her sales at least 11 or 12 years and I've never once been yelled at, chastised, or otherwise called out. I am not a wealthy person... in fact, my average spent at a sale is around $30-$50. I don't get hassled because I FOLLOW THE RULES. I READ the signs. I do not run to the front to ask Jennifer "how much" for every item I pick up. I don't argue with her about prices ...or haggle with her. I can clearly see exactly when the discounts will come and I can take my chance the item will still be there if I choose to pay less... and I've frequently lost something I wanted. I have my cash or credit card ready so I can quickly move out of the line. Try just simply following the rules and you'll have a much more pleasant time... and, the biggie, you won't annoy other customers with your whining complaints. As far as people 'missing the signs in the front yard' advising them no children 15 and under are allowed inside... OMG... one would have to be blind to "miss" the signs. They are plastered on the outside of the house... the signs are on every announcement emailed... they're on every ad published... and they are repeated inside the home. It isn't a matter of "missing the signs"... it is a matter of everyone thinking they're situation is 'different'... that their child is in arms... or their child 'likes antiques'... etc etc. No... the rule is "NO CHILDREN". The complaints about staff being rude to customers are just plain stupid. I have spent 3-4 hours at a time at one sale almost every weekend for the past 11 or so years and I have NEVER seen anyone treat ANY customer rudely... (and I've seen plenty of rude customers who should have had their back-side kicked... or at least been chastised). Again, I think someone is just trying to trash Margie Beegle Estate Sales in some sadly misguided thought this will somehow make THEIR estate sale look better. There are literally dozens of estate sales every weekend in the Houston area... plenty of business for everyone so... I think everyone should just go where they want to go, buy what they want to buy... by all means... if you don't like Margie Beegle Sales... hey... EASY PEASY... stay away! (More for me ...thank you very much.) Oh... and for the person who referred to good 'costumer' (sic) service... I am giving this a one star only because there are no negative numbers. If you are looking for a corrupt, swindling douchebag of an excuse for a spawn of satan, then look no further than the fat blonde woman running the register at Margie Beegle sales (I assume that her name is Jennifer, as what other reviews have said). I went to one on Lana Lane today, thinking that this would be similar to other garage sales and lesser estate sales that I have attended. First off, I see so many signs that I would think that anything that I did would be a violation of their absurd policies. I then proceed to enter where I am off to a good start by being greeted by a police officer. I mean, really? An officer at an estate sale? How concerned are you that people will break your laws? I mean, it would be for the betterment of humanity that you feel the pain that you have inflicted upon others. Anyways, I then start looking around for stuff, and then I find a voltage meter for $15. 'I'll probably be able to bring it down to $10", I though to myself. I then went upstairs with the voltage meter in hand, but then la senora gorda proceeds to tell me that I can't bring it upstairs. "You can put it on this table where I will watch it for you," she calmly says. "Great!" I say, thinking that it would be safe from other buyers. Biggest mistake I ever made. Since I was eager to go to the second floor, I didn't see any of the "put a priced item here and you buy it" crap. I then looked around some more, and I picked up a nice VGA and SCART cable. I then went downstairs and put the cables (which were overpriced at $5 apiece instead of $1) on the table and I took the voltage meter back. Mama June then tells me "think about what you have done and do the right thing." I'm like: "What"?" Then Ms. Swindler tells me that I had to read carefully. Hold on, back up. I don't even want to buy it! How can you dictate what I buy? I then tried to protest, but I couldn't work around her. She kept on politely giving me the "do the right thing" spiel. Hey, why don't you do the right thing and stop trying to STEAL MY MONEY?! Defeated, embarrassed, with steamy cheeks, I buy a voltage meter that I didn't even want to buy. In hindsight, I'm actually surprised that she didn't start yelling at me, as she does with every other customer of hers. Before I left, there was an Asian woman who was trying to buy a rug who was then threatened to be arrested because of some reason that I didn't catch. I proceed to storm out of the property explaining to my mother how much of an absolute cheat that woman was. I hope that she gets swallowed by the Earth and taken to the very depths of Hades just like the Orcs in front of Mordor's gates. If there is one piece of vile scum that has walked this earth, it is this woman. She and her cronies have lost my business. They don't deserve it. I don't know why Terah K. gave a 5-star review, because that is about as untrue of a statement as elephants are microwaves. She was probably hired by Beegle herself to make her seem good, when in reality, is not. If I see one of her Ponzi Scheme ploys, then I will make sure to go out of my way to avoid it. read more

Where do I begin...... My experience with Margie Beegle Sales was nothing less than HORRIFIC! Jennifer Beegle (daughter of Margie Beegle) is a raged, mentally unsayable lunatic. I attended a Bellaire TX estate sale on November 28th and 29th 2013. On the 28th Jennifer verbally attached a senior shopper. The shopper did not understand she needed to sign her sales receipt (she was elderly and seemed to be a foreigner). Jennifer started screaming at her, very noticeable and difficult to ignore. She started screaming for the security guard, saying if you don't sign I will have you removed from the property and I will keep your items. A shopper behind the elderly woman interjects, attempting to tell Jennifer that the woman simply is not understanding her, and it's no need for her to me so nasty about the situation. Thant's when Jennifer really illustrated her animalistic behavior. Demanding both shoppers leave the property. After witnessing all that, I went home and reported the incident via web, on the estatesale.com web page. Now on to the 29th, My husband and I returned because all items would be 30% off. We arrived around 1:30pm. Entered the front doors of the home and saw Jennifer at it AGAIN with a different shopper. I said to my husband, this lady is sick! We proceeded to shop. After selecting items we wanted, we headed to Jennifer to pay. As she is ringing the items up I noticed, the hook on the jade bracelet was broken, so I told her I don't want it (the bracelet was $250.00). SHE WENT OFF LIKE A NUTCASE! Stating im stilling if I don't buy the bracelet, because the agent held it (the hold was for 3mins MAX) it was one of the last items we selected. Seconds later she screams (JAMES, JAMES , JAMES ) for the security guard, saying that I'm trespassing and need to leave the property. (keep in mind we paid over $200.00 the day before and on the 29th have approximately $350.00 worth of stuff). After, Jennifer making yet ANOTHER harassing seen, I told her that she needs to seek mental help, and if she addresses her mental and physical problems she will feel better about herself and learn how to treat people. She tells the guard to take me off the property. We proceed to walk out the door, she follow us out the door and says: she will have me spend the night in jail for trespassing. Then she said: im sure you have spent many nights in jail before. Ok, if I continue telling all I experienced with Jennifer Beegle this will become several pages. So I will just end it by saying she need NOT to be dealing with the public, she is mentally unstable and extremely provoking. She needs to be caged! Oh, one more thing. On the 28th and 29th she was ranting that shes an attorney. I checked the Texas Bar and found no record of her AT ALL. My recommendation: DO NOT ATTEND MARGIE BEEGLE SALES! IT IS NOT SAFE! read more

March 2015 The worst estate sale experience you will ever have, stay away I do beileve the cashier Jennifer would benefit from some sort of counseling and possible professional intervention. She will talk to you like your a child with no respect of any kind like your an idiot. Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This short fat person Jennifer and I will not say lady, woman etc so as not to defame those of us who are respectable women. I went to one her estate sales on Sat and purchased goods totaling 85.00, I accidently left an item on her table and did not realize it until I got home. She does not assist you in bagging or wrapping breakable items, oh no, that would require her to get her fat ___ out of that chair. Plus this is first place I did not get a reciept for items purchased as this was not my first estate sale. So I went back on Sun right at 1000 when it opened I went up to her and to ask her about the blue bottle that I purchased and left by mistake, she screams at me we kept it until the end of the day then we placed it back on the floor, you can look for it. So I walked through house and could not locate it, I found one similar and when back up to the front and ask clarifying that they kept it all day til closing then placed it back after they closed my thinking was if that is what they did then it was there somewhere. She stated yes. So I walked through one more time not locating the bottle then I went back with the another bottle and asked if she would let me have that as a replacement, she screamed at me No, we do not do that we hold it all day then put it back on the floor, we have a sign up there that states that you are responsible for keeping up with your purchases and points in a direction behind me then begins to berate me, I simply ask another question then she begins screaming louder, I told her she did not have to get indigent, she says to me "let's read the sign together" as she was getting up I sat the other bottle down and promply walked away to tell my friend I was leaving to go sit in the car until she was finished. My friend had noticed the day before they were rude and had told me but I had not heard anything. I left and I can tell you that I will never go to one of her sales again. She is the rudest person I have ever met. No clue about customer service or even how to talk to anyone the bottle I purchased the first day was sitting right in front of her and she made no effort to make sure I left with my puchase. I can only say that I know she will reap what she sows. I am an Emergency Nurse who works at Triage and if she ever comes to my hospital unless she is about to die she will have to read the signs. I've been to over 50 estate sales in Houston and I'll tell you, at this point, when I walk in an estate sale and see these people, I'll walk out. Rude, arrogant, and delusional about their prices. The petite blond lady at the checkout desk who I shall name Karen loves to yell at people, and the brunette lady usually in charge of the bedroom is snarky. She was on to me this one time, probably thinking I was about to steal because I had the audacity to walk out the bedroom with (already priced) items without going to her first. They do the most to make sure people don't steal, but don't know how to make it streamline, so you end up having to go up and down the stairs multiple times just to check out. Items are already priced but you can't just check out, you have to go to the bedroom lady so she'll give you a ticket. Then you can take it downstairs to check out right? No, you have to leave it there, go downstairs to pay, then go back up to pick up your items. After paying you better leave because if you wanna look around a little more you have to check in your already paid items, you can just exist inside the property with anything in your hands apparently. Then if you find more things you wanna buy, you have to go through all those steps I just listed again. IT'S A HASSLE MADE SO MUCH MORE UNPLEASANT BY THE AGENTS' TERRIBLE ATTITUDE. Even when you decide to leave for good, you have to show the door man the receipt before walking out the door, despite him being literally 10 feet away from the checkout desk and can clearly see you pay. In another estate sale with these same people, a lot of items weren't priced so I brought it to the table to check how much they were, when I decided some of them weren't worth it I asked to put them back, she bluntly said I couldn't because she "already wrote it down" (so? just crossed them out!) If you put items on the hold table you'll have to buy them, there's no going back. God forbid people change their minds! I hypothesized that they priced everything too high and they weren't selling so they came up with these rules to force people to buy. If you messed up just a little bit, asking the wrong question, holding items just a little wrong they'll yell at you or at the least give you an attitude. Especially Karen. The real gag is, at one of the sales in Montrose or Midtown I believe, a couple of months ago, they had this sign outside the door that said "if you're rude to our 'nice' agents you'll be asked to leave" lmao the lack of self awareness is astounding. I am a vendor at an Antique Mall in Houston area so I attend estate sales just about every weekend. I have never been to an Estate Sale by Margie Beegel and I will never again. Her daughter, Jennifer who was running the register was Extremely unprofessional, down right hostile. I honestly can not believe she is still in business! After reading other reviews I had to share my experience, especially for anyone considering hiring her for services. This is a condensed version of what actually took place: I had several items on the hold table, ready to check out and my sister in law (who doesn't go to sales often) showed me a defect on an item which triggered Jennifer into yelling at her to "read the hold table rules". My sister in-law turned to me and said "I don't really understand but I guess I can't return this to the kitchen". I replied "No, I will buy it" Jennifer then yelled "for people like you that have bad days, read the RULES Again"...she continued with " you are a 50 yr old woman how can you not understand my sign" she continued "I'm not a babysitter, you need to leave"!! I was in shock, so I asked Jennifer why she was being so hateful and rude; she turned to me and said "you leave with her" then called over the police/ guard to escort us out. My husband was shopping in a back bedroom and overheard other shoppers talking about commotion. I briefly told him we are being escorted out, handed him cash to check out. We were all in shock, he kept asking what happened but the guard was rushing us out like we were criminals, the whole time Jennifer was yelling in front of all the customers "get them out". By this time my sister in law and myself were outside and I hear her yelling at my husband "No, you all leave now, I'm not selling to any of you". It was humiliating and totally unnecessary. If Heirs are looking for an estate sale company, I highly recommend AVOIDING Margie Beegel!!! If you are a buyer, and find yourself at one of her sales I strongly suggest No interaction with Margie or her daughter Jennifer as they really seem unstable to me I can not believe ANY of her workers, including the guard/officer put up with the abuse. **WARNING: Think Twice Before Attending a Margie Beegle Estate Sale** My wife and I had an extremely upsetting and unnecessarily humiliating experience at a Margie Beegle estate sale in Houston. Based on how we were treated, we will avoid any estate sale operated by this company in the future. I had just purchased a collection of approximately 20 books. My wife was next in line with another 15 books she intended to purchase. She had also placed an unfamiliar kitchen gadget with the books because she wanted to ask what it was before deciding whether to buy it. Before my wife could complete her purchase or explain, the woman running the sale abruptly accused her of having already purchased the gadget because it had been placed on the designated table. When my wife calmly explained that she wanted the books but did not want the gadget, the woman immediately called security and ordered that she be removed. There was no attempt to clarify the misunderstanding, answer the question, or resolve the situation professionally. We tried to reason with her politely, but security was then instructed to prevent me from returning as well--even though I had just completed a legitimate purchase. The posted rules were ambiguous and did not clearly explain that merely placing an item on that table constituted a completed or irrevocable purchase. The security guard photographed the posted rules and, after we explained the situation, agreed that the signs were unclear. Several other customers independently told us that she had a poor reputation for the way she treats patrons. We left without creating a scene, but the treatment was embarrassing, disproportionate and completely unnecessary. A simple question about an unfamiliar item should never result in paying customers being treated like criminals and escorted away by security. Estate-sale customers deserve clear rules, basic courtesy and a reasonable opportunity to resolve an honest misunderstanding. We received none of those things. I would give negative stars if I could. I recently had an unfortunate encounter at an estate sale managed by Miss Jennifer. Despite the promising array of antiques and collectors' items, the experience was marred by a lack of professionalism and courtesy. During our visit, I inadvertently incurred Miss Jennifer's wrath when I attempted to replace a set of candle holders where I had found them out of common curtsy. Her response was not only disproportionate but also delivered in a manner that was both rude and degrading. The abrupt escalation, involving her calling on "security" at an estate sale, left my entire family bewildered and disheartened. You could still hear her screaming at the top of her lungs to "remove us" to the other side of the sidewalk as the front lawn was still "trespassing" and we weren't welcomed at her sale. Miss Jennifer's management style was abrasive, and she exhibited a total disregard for customer service. Her behavior, which included threatening legal action and hurling verbal abuse, was both shocking and completely uncalled for. The incident not only affected our enjoyment of the estate sale but also left a lasting negative impact on my mother, who was visibly distraught. It's disheartening to see an individual entrusted with managing such events fail to maintain a basic level of respect and professionalism. Miss Jennifer's handling of the situation was not only unbecoming but also revealed a lack of understanding of customer relations. In conclusion, I strongly advise potential buyers and sellers to exercise caution when dealing with Miss Jennifer's estate sales. Such an unpleasant experience should serve as a warning to those seeking a positive and respectful environment when engaging in estate sales. She will depreciate your valuable goods and degrade you as a human being. I hope she gets the help she needs, it is absolutely disheartening to see someone act the way she does. There isn't a "no-star" rating on Yelp. Margie Beegle's crew for estate sales makes a very strong case why there SHOULD be!!!! Estate sales are both a potential treasure hunt, and soberingly, the disbursement of a person's final belongings. A professional company should be polite to guests, protective of the safety, handling, and success of the sale for the family of the deceased. Margie and Co. treat customers like criminals. Presumed guilty of - who knows what? If my loved ones' belongings were being sold, I would want an estate sale handler to treat customers in the home with kindness and care, be alert to theft possibilities (small things in front), while realizing that this was my loved one's home and things. BE NICE!! Margie and her helpers look and treat everyone as though they're all pilfering and stealing things, and then if you ask a question, they loudly insult you about your offer, bringing no dignity and potential embarassment to the buyer. The only reason I took the time to write this is because, MOST IMPORTANTLY, when a family is grieving for a loved one, they need to be able to make the best choice on who to entrust to this delicate process of selling last possessions. I cringe to think of what Margie's people would do with choice items that they personally covet, given the lack of respect, trust and decorum with which they handle other people. BOTTOM LINE: Someone who has integrity, self-respect, and genuine empathy for other people will most likely do the best job for a family's estate. If you can't trust how people and sales are handled at the sales table, in front of everyone, how can you trust the time that company spends alone with the accumulated items of someone you cared for? I only wish I could give this awful company zero stars! I attended one of their estate sales this weekend. Aside from the fact that every item in the house was WAY overpriced, the employees were unbelievably rude....almost abusive I would say. Lets start with the pricing. Two seperate items I picked up had the original price tags from the stores on them. One was a decorative plate from Berings. The Berings price tag said $150. The Margie Beegle Estate Sale tag said $185!!!!! SERIOUSLY? I don't think so. The other item was a coffee table book that was still shrink wrapped. The price from Barnes and Noble was $19.99. Beegle had it priced at $20. That type of pricing is absolutely ridiculous. I go to estate sales frequently, and I certainly do not go with the expectation that I will pay as much, or more, than I would pay in a store. And usually in a store the salespeople are nice. Not the case here! The awful, awful, awful heavy-set beast chomping on celery at the register was on some sort of power trip. I witnessed her actually kick a woman out of the house for walking too slowly. The customer was elderly and using a walker, and that BEAST told her that "this estate sale is no place for someone with a walker" and to leave. The customer's daughter was horrified, as were everyone within earshot. The elderly woman was embarrassed and she and her daughter left. It was a stunning display of disrespect. Even the police officer hired by the beast was staring at her with his mouth hanging open in shock. Customer service and fair pricing are both foriegn concepts to this terrible company. read more

If hell could rise up and swallow one cancerous specimen down below, it would be for the benefit of humanity that this 'woman', Jennifer Beegle, can be forced to recognize the deplorable actions she has committed. She is vile, rude, condescending, racist and ageist. I've seen her scream at those who speak poor English, bite and rip apart those who seem to be new to real estate, and seemingly deranged with her Google search understanding of common law. My favorite comments from her include "if you want to go to jail I will call the police on you and your children" as well as "can I have my pen back m'am, it's against the law to steal". As you walk through their seemingly enriched estate homes, their assortment of associates leer at you while a man with a belly twice his body size, presumably whipped into submission by the demon spawn that employed him, will berate you and humiliate you in front of your peers. Jennifer, with gigantic drink in hand and a superiority complex as thick and full as her three chins, make you feel like horse shit from her presumptions, all lacking evidence. I would love to see her terrible business crumble like her personality already has, but it seems to me that her following has been whittled down to new, doe eyed estate sale goers and her army of spineless workers. If there's a corporate attorney out there, please provide a brief, elementary level summary of basic violations and ridiculous claims for Ms. Beegle so we can stamp it on her head and presumably teach her (finally) something about jail time, since she's so inclined to throw everyone at the police. read more
