The entire process, from the initial service request call to the time they walked out of our home, was as smooth, professional and technically effective as one could possibly hope to expect. This is my first Yelp review, and honestly I never expected I would ever write a review anywhere, but our experiences with MarGo were just so great that I felt I should. Mike, the plumber we got on both our calls, is a courteous, respectful, efficient and knowledgeable professional in every sense of the word - give that man a raise! Thank you Mike! top rated plumbing company whom i have no hesitation referring to others. mary is the friendliest receptionist, and made it a point to get me an answer or pass-on a message asap whenever i called the office. jesse was my point person, although i met the whole team. i had several projects to have priced, and they were the only plumbing company to take the time to thoroughly evaluate each project. whereas it took other plumbers 10-15 mins to get me a price, margo was onsite for 2 hours surveying the site to correctly price the job. they itemized their quote and helped work around my budget. their price is NOT the cheapest. and that's OK since their work is strictly by-the-book, without cutting corners, or providing inferior hardware. they worked extra hours to get the job done as promised, and without complaint. they are neat, friendly, and HONEST. work completed: * install new water softener and filtration system * install new laundry gas and water lines, setup appliances * will use them for new bathroom renovation marGo plumbing... they do the job right. read more

I first used MarGo for a leaky kitchen sink. I am handy but the sink needed new valves which is beyond my skill level. Mike assessed the sink plumbing and gave me 3 options with a very detailed explanation of all the work. Mike was respectful, knowledgeable and communicated every step he made in my house. He left the area clean and even sprayed some air freshener. I was so impressed that I again called MarGo to install a faucet, hand shower, tub spout diverter and safety bars all in one day. Again Mike arrived ready to listen to my needs and explained my options. He worked diligently and even called in a coworker to handle the faucet replacement as he focused on the important safety bars. 5 stars period. He even entertained my 2 yr old, when she told him to stop breaking her house. The rates are on the higher side but every penny spent saved me time, frustration and ultimately gas (I didn't drive to Home Depot 10 times) I was very happy not to be under the sink that day. read more

These guys are excellent! Their level of responsiveness, professionalism and attention to detail is top notch and rare in residential contracting. I moved into a 100+ year old colonial with original steam system and neglected boiler. Shortly after settling in we discovered the existing steam boiler was cracked beyond repair and it was getting cold quickly. I called MarGo and they diagnosed the issue and explained it in a logical way that allowed me to make an informed decision. While the fix was not cheap, I wanted to make sure I would be making an investment in quality products and service to avoid future hassles. MarGo provided quality resources and assistance in deciding the best approach to correcting the problem, and juggled their schedules and workload to accommodate my immediate needs to get the repairs done. 1st time using MarGo Plumbing and they will now be our go to Plumbers. We had a sudden leak from our kitchen faucet on a Sat and reached out to MarGo Plumbing. I actually got them from Angies List. Jesse was the service specialist who came to our house within a few hours. He was extremely professional and even wore shoe covers into the house so he did not track in the snow and salt. That started the experience with a smile. After a quick review of the faucet Jessie explained that the sink needed a new hose. He explained that he would order the part and in the mean time he did a wonderful temporary adjustment that stopped the leak and allowed us to use our sink for the next few days till the part was received. I have been a customer of Margo Plumbing for about 10 years. I first met Joe when I had an emergency on a Sunday and my regular plumber didn't return my calls. Joe came and fixed the leak and even called me the following day to make sure all was still good. I began using Margo as my regular plumber from that point on and have found Joe and his team to be reliable, honest and knowledgeable . What prompted me to write this review is that tonight I had no hot water, I called the office and within an hour I had Mike at my house and he was able to fix the problem., He knew exactly what to look for and got my hotwater heater working. We contacted MarGo Plumbing based on Yelp reviews. The experience was easy from my first phone call to the actual service. I spoke to Joe to set up the appointment for my parents' basement sink. He let me know they would arrive between 10-12 but would call prior to arriving. Mary contacted us when the technician was on his way, which was very helpful. Jesse, the technician, introduced himself and thoroughly examined the sink and pipes before deciding what needed to be done and how it needed to be done. The price was higher than we expected, but we needed to get the work done and after speaking with Jesse we were confident he could do the job correctly. Highly recommend this company! They are always courteous and respectful of the property. Last winter, when our water heater failed they replaced it and came back out a couple of times to address issues- they made everything right. More recently we needed a some shut off valves replaced, which turned into a much bigger project because the city had not installed a whole house shut off at the street. Dino worked with the city guys and got the valves done so quickly that we were only without water for a couple hours! I think their prices are comparable to other plumbers in the area (in my admittedly limited experience), but they are by far the most professional! read more

Dino was great!! He addressed the issue with our toilet leak and explained in detail the options to either replace the parts or buy a new toilet!! Knowing that the toilet was old, I opted to replace it. He immediately contacted the plumbing supply and gave me a written estimate, when I agreed, he then called and ordered a new one. The whole job took a few hours and he was very professional and courteous!! And very neat as well!!!! Our 1st time using this company....I must say MarGo has answered the bell...! We needed our A/C drip pan replaced in attic, boiler sight glass replacement and new thermostat wiring at our house. You cannot beat the customer service. Very courteous, responsive and punctual. Mike took the time to listen to my plumbing issue and assess the real problem. He provided a written quote before proceeding with any work. He fixed the problem in a timely fashion and also gave some free advice on other plumbing issues. Mike was great about being clean during and after the job was done. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because their fees are on the higher end of the spectrum. I discovered a small leak from old brass piping in my laundry room on a Friday afternoon. MarGo was the only service I called who answered my call. I made an appointment for early Monday morning. Jesse D. arrived before our scheduled time. He quickly assessed the situation, and gave us the best case/worst case scenarios. Fair price either way. Luckily for us, we had the best case scenario and the problem was easily solved. Jesse fixed the problem in less than an hour, and even labeled our shut off valves. Excellent service! Jesse arrived when promised and listened to all my concerns. He surveyed each area of concern and returned with honest feedback and excellent advice. Jesse replaced the insides of a toilet tank and snaked a clogged drain. I am recovering from surgery and was unable to climb the stairs so Jesse took videos on his phone to show me exactly what he was doing. Jesse D showed up promptly, fixed the problem and left the place cleaner than he found it. The clog was in the bathroom sink, I had tried to fix it and had another plumbing service try to clear it. The other service worked for 2 hours with no success at all. Jesse had the drain cleared within an hour. He double and triple checked to make sure everything was working correctly and there were no leaks. Can't say enough good things about this company.
