My partner and I have gone here for dinner many times and we're never disappointed. The consistency…read morein quality is ace. In my opinion it's one of the best fried chickens around. This time we got the mini fried chicken, braised beef curry, and large aonori fries. Fried chicken, as always, was delectably crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, and is perfectly seasoned. Has my soft mouth ever tasted such a better chicken wonder? The chicken is the reason to come here! You used to be able to get four different sauces free of charge, but now if you want different sauce flavours, it's 75¢ each. I like the shio garlic lemon or Japanese mayonnaise. The braised beef curry wasn't as good as I expected but it was okay. The braised beef itself was really tender and delicious, but the curry was too watery and the flavour wasn't my preference. There was also nothing other than the beef (no vegetables). I've had much better and cheaper elsewhere. The aonori fries are also a must have for me! They're fries covered in aonori, which is a flakey seaweed. It goes so perfectly with fries. They give a tartar sauce to dip the fries in. Get the large if you're sharing and are a fry addict--the small won't be enough. These fries are skinny like McDonald's fries, but sooo much better. Perfectly crisp. Service is always friendly and efficient. It's a small shop so it can become quite lively when it's full. They always have covers of popular songs going in the background.

The curry was smooth and the fried chicken was hot, crispy and extremely juicy. There was a tiny kale salad on the side, which didn't seem all that fresh and was just okay. The husband ordered the Braised Shortrib Stone Bowl. At $24, the portion seemed a bit small for the price, but he liked the flavours. The servers were kind and attentive to our needs. I'd come back for the fried chicken.

I was debating between this and AYCE $19.95 deal. I got lunch combo $12.99 since I might overeat from AYCE. I asked the server for lunch combo and radish pickles. And choose cheese sprinkles with fries. Meat was tender and juicy. Batter was light, just the way it should be. Cheese sprinkle wasn't my usual go to so the flavour was okay. Kids might like it. Not spicy just cheesy and little sweet. Fries were perfect like ones from Costco food court. I'll never order this flavour and won't recommend this at all. The taste reminds me of Cheetos. Loved the quality and portions for the price. I can never find this price at Chicko and any other Korean fried chicken places. Server was fantastic, she apologized about forgetting to bring radish. It's a small restaurant so takeout is recommended! Great place to watch World Cup!

We walked in with 5 people and no reservation, but were able to get seated immediately in one of their large tables in the middle. Between the 5 of us we ordered the bossam, spicy galbijjim, seafood pancake, and stir fried tteokbokki. This was more than enough food for us. They also gave a few banchan and bowls of rice. The bossam and seafood pancake were stellar - probably the best bossam I have ever had tbh! The meat was so tender yet flavorful and the sides made the perfect wrap. The seafood pancake was extraordinarily crispy and delicious with the sauce. While the galbijjim was good too, I was expecting the short ribs not the large back ribs. The tteokkbokki was just average. Definitely worth a stop!

Highlights for me were the seafood pancake--thick, crispy, and loaded with seafood--and the bossam, which was delicious with all the proper accompaniments. The japchae was my favorite: chewy and not overly sweet, which is refreshing compared to many Korean restaurants in NYC. The dumplings were good but fairly standard, nothing standout. We also had mackerel, which looked good, and the tteokbokki came with beef, which the kids loved. Despite all the food, my son only ate white rice--sigh. Service was very kind and attentive. They brought kids' plates and utensils without us even asking. Would definitely come back.
