Stopped in for a quick Friday lunch. Food was great, service was wonderful. Margs are a little weak, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the airflow inside was stuffy so we sat outside and enjoyed the day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not bad for a quick lunch, but there are def better places

    Chicken Tamale, very moist.

This is my favorite Mexican place and I am a SoCal born guy. I have been to places in Texas as well and the only thing they are missing is homemade tortillas. The chili rellenos's are a must to order and the chicken tamales are the best I have had. The service is always quick and polite. They can get overwhelmed at times but it is worth the wait. We drive a half hour just to eat here and go at least once a week. Jalisco beers for 2.50 is always a must. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is small so seating can be tough if you aren't early.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] With how much I go to this place, I am surprised it took me this long to review. Well the cat is out of the bag I guess.

Texas Fajita for two. Shrimp, chicken and beef.

Foods are excellent! Not salty, not too much cumin like many TexMex foods I tried in the past. Their foods are much more tolerable and delicious. On top of that everyone who works in this restaurant is so nice, polite and very accommodating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I feel like eating in a friend's house.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm glad I gave this restaurant a try. It is So worth it!. I wished Maryland had this type of Mexican restaurant instead of Americanized one like Taco Bell, Qdoba eeeeeew... [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is quite nice except the bathroom can be a bit cleaner on the floor with no drippings[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]...

I came to Maria Bonita Cantina on a whim with my wife. We were behind schedule for our day and figured stopping for lunch would make our lives a little easier. This place is right next to the Williamsburg outlets and is tucked away at the far side of the plaza. When we came in there were a few families in there and I was greeted by the staff warmly. We had our son and sat in a booth where we could put the car seat which was helpful. The waitress greeted us and brought us some chips and salsa. We ordered a few drinks and I felt they were very reasonably priced. My 32oz corona familiar was 7 dollars, which is cheaper then a 12oz bottle in some places. We got the guacamole that was made fresh out on the floor. It was very good and worth the price. For food we ordered tacos. I was debating getting a platter and I asked the waitress and she recommended the tacos so I could try a few different things and I was glad I did. The al pastor was delicious better than most al pastor tacos I've had. The barbacoa was out of this world good. It might be the best barbacoa I've ever had. If your local or visiting the area I would definitely stop here if you like tacos. Food is great and reasonably priced and the staff is super friendly.

There was no wait to be seated. Upon entry Just pick a booth or table that is unoccupied, and wait for your server. There is a salsa bar that I highly recommend on trying. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is small, but nicely sectioned to fit two tables with large parties, and rest are booths with some tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the fajitas, and the hubs had the express burrito. So this is where things went a bit south. After the chips were provided for the table, and orders were taken it took close to an hour before our food came. The waiter and cashier would pass by, glance, and eat an apple conversing while we waited for the food for sometime. Only after about 40 minutes with no one approaching the table to replenish the chips, or upsell drinks is when we were provided a status on our food. It was coming out and they apologized. My unsizzliyng fajitas came out by itself. About 5 minutes later the rice and beans that were to accompany it were then placed on the table. This has been renamed to "it takes a while fajitas". The hubbys "express burrito" I renamed it to "take your time burrito" and don't order if your on lunch break. Customers ordering take out were frustrated, since their waiting was encroaching onto their work time to eat due to the slowness, and no updates. Besides all of this. The food was good. Maybe it was an off day, but it would've been nice if we were informed they were short of a cook or he took a break to smoke in the back. Something anything at this point. We ordered food that I believe would be simple and fast to make .....

Customer service was amazing. The people working were very nice and had some good recommendations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wish I would've gotten there earlier so I could've eaten inside. It looked pretty cool inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bean burrito was great. It's a smothered burrito so it was different from other ones I've had. Tasted great. The cactus taco looked a little weird but tasted great. The corn tortillas could've been cooked a little longer but still has the great flavors I was looking for. The veggie burrito was packed with mushrooms fajita veggies rice all the goodies. It's was so flavorful. It was also smothered with queso and some Avocado. Definitely recommended if you're a vegetarian. 100% stopping again in the future.

Everything is amazing! The service, the food and the environment are excellent. My son has some severe allergies and they were wonderful to work with to make sure he had food he could eat. The bathroom was clean and the chips were warm. The salsa that comes with the chips is pretty mild (great for kids!) and you can spice it up with other salsas from the salsa bar. SO good!

Stopped here for a very quick dinner with my family before heading to the Wagsters Magic Theater (also great). We had tamales, nachos, and tacos (and a lot of great salsa from the salsa bar). All were ready quickly, priced reasonably, and delicious. Will definitely return when back in Williamsburg. (I'll note that we had Mexican food at another restaurant that was rated highly and this place was far superior). Went back again the next night. Food was just as good, and we tried a bunch more things, including fajita nachos and enchiladas pablanos.

Food was amazing , the staff was kind and welcoming we can't wait to come back into town to enjoy this delicious food.

Everything went well visited from out of town and can't wait to return. The staff was amazing , the food tastes of love and was authentic!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was clean and very festive[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

So, let's find out how the visit went. There weren't a lot of people inside and there was only one waitress attending to tables. They have a bar area, tables and booths. We decided to eat near the entrance to their supermarket. It took a while for us to roam through the menu, but decided on what we wanted a few minutes after getting seates. I chose a 1/2 chicken with two sides (fried yucca and french fries). The Peruvian chicken was pretty good and flavorful. Both the fried yucca and fries could've been seasoned more, but were plentiful. I actually saved half of my meal for takeout and tasted well for dinner. Unfortunately, the bad part of our visit was the decor. The restaurant is located in a strip mall which has seen better days. Seats at the booth are torn up.....literally. The tables are outdated. The floor is in pretty bad shape, especially near the bar area. And in the bathroom, the paper towel dispenser was not connected to the wall and instead, laying on the floor. It's not comfortable washing your hands and then turning it sideways where you can get paper. I really don't mean to sound mean,, but the decor alone would turn folks away. It needs a big renovation all around. Hopefully, down the road, they can upgrade or they may become a thing of the past :(

We had a Beria Burrito (excellent, highly recommend), enchiladas supreme, chimichangas (chicken), guacamole (made at the table), cheese dip, chips, salsa. All these things were great. It's a great spot to have a meal before or after going to either of those entertainment venues. The restaurant is large with a mixture of tables and booths. The staff are friendly and efficient. They even have a robot that transports the food from the kitchen to your table. It's very cute. Their menu has a lot of options, and we enjoyed our selections. I had the Chicken Fajita Salad. It came with three nice size pieces of lightly seasoned chicken breasts, lettuces, cheese, tomatoes, and avocados. The portion was large, and I took about one-third of it home. My husband likes combo plates, so he got one that had refined beans, rice, and three different enchiladas. While it too was a large portion, he devoured it and it raves about the quality of the food. As with other Mexican restaurants , they bring complimentary chips and salsa to the table. For drinks, I had the red sangria, which was light. He had the horchata, which he rated ok. Free parking is available outside the restaurant.
