We ordered a steak fajita quesadilla, steak burrito, and lingua tacos. The portions are really large, and the food was quite good. The atmosphere was enjoyable, with Mexican music playing in the background. Our server was exceptionally friendly. Although they initially got one of our orders wrong, they quickly corrected it. Also, the free chips and salsa was an added goodness. Overall, this spot is a great choice for families and college students seeking good Mexican cuisine.

This is rapidly becoming the family's go to TexMex in Williamsburg. We love hitting up the lunch menu. Fast, tasty, filling, great service, TV's showing real football (aka, soccer) with periodic "GOOOOAAAALLL" screaming announcers. Definitely puts you in the mood to have fun and enjoy yourself. Started out with the standard app: chips & salsa. It just warms my heart whenever some place serves white salsa. Or whatever they call it. I know I'm in heaven then. One day I'll figure out what's in it and likely stop. But until then - bliss. I am a sucker for any TexMex with a "Speedy Gonzalez" lunch item. In fact, I don't recall if I've ever NOT seen that lunch option. In this case, it gets you a taco & enchilada that is probably the standard for a Speedy. Unfortunately only one side? Not sure if I hate it, but definitely a cost cutting move. All the items were great. Finally, the servers were FANTASTIC. Well done with a place that has great peeps.

Went on a Tuesday and enjoyed their $1.50 taco special of either a chicken or ground beef hard shell. The shells seemed that they were just fried and were so good. I only tried the shredded chicken and they were delicious. Chips, salsa and white sauce were all good. The Coke was also really good. Our waitress was super attentive and checked on us often. Not overly large restaurant but plenty of seats, including booths and tables.

Ten stars for the tortilla chips alternative of sliced cucumber + lime juice + tajin with guacamole. Really love their entire healthy menu. The steak in the burrito bowl was a little tough (not great quality) and the cauliflower rice was more like cauliflower mash (the frozen green giant stuff microwaved is better) but again, TEN STARS for the tortilla chips alternative. I will 100% be eating cucumber at home this way from now on.

Attentive and responsive service. Food came quickly and was hot and delicious. Clean, lovely space. Music unobtrusive. Surprised it wasn't busier but I guess we came rather late for this area (7pm+.)

I'm always on the search for something scrumptious and what I found here was definitely that right there! So I went with one of the combos with an enchilada, chilli relleno, and a burrito all of it was delicious and definitely hit the spot! Their red sauce was yummy it had a good flavor to it making each item just that much more enjoyable than the next! The enchiladas were awesome they were packed with cheese which had a really yummy gooey flavor to it just the way it should be! The real star was my chilli relleno as that was legit and delicious definitely one of the better ones I've had on the east coast as the pepper was perfectly stuffed with cheese it had a nice fry on it and just totally the best part of this yummy dish! The burrito was also good but the real star was the chilli relleno so definitely seek that out here as it's just that yummy! They also give you chips and salsa which both were yummy too as I love a good spot where both of those are good too! Overall cool place that's not to far from Busch if your in the area definitely check it out as it's yummy!

The food was great. It as the slowest service I have ever encountered. There was plenty of staff and only four or five tables.

It's still quite wonderful and price comparable with Berrett's, which is equally excellent. I started with the compressed watermelon and feta salad. Delicious and refreshing, but I think this is too large at four large pieces. This can be ordered and shared as it's a delight in summer. I had the salmon which was exactly the right size, perfectly cooked and accompanied by roasted asparagus. My husband had the crab soup which was delicious. His entree was shrimp bucatini that he enjoyed but found the portion much too large. Service was outstanding, and my rather complex food restrictions were treated with respect and caution. This is just a wonderful place to dine, especially when you want a quiet, adult environment and be just a bit fussed over.

I was given 7 instead of 6. A nice bonus. I had the Caesar salad as a starter. It was top notch. For my main, I had a seafood pasta. It was absolutely delicious. A generous portion with a very tasty garlic sauce. I cleaned my plate. Normally I skip dessert but I was presented with a dessert tray with ALL of my favorites. I could come here just for the desserts. I chose the hot Apple casserole with ice cream. It was a real treat but way too much for me. The next time I need to try the key lime pie, chocolate lava cake or the magnificent caramel pie. Sadly, this restaurant is closing in August after 45-years due yo the loss of their lease which was sold to yet another planned convenience store. This was my first visit but not my last before they close. Plenty of parking. Excellent friendly and efficient service from start to finish.

However, I did notice that the place was not clean and looked dirty. There were spider webs on the ledge over our booth. I know they're trying to go for the rustic look, but the place still should be clean. I had the shrimp tempura dinner with fries and coleslaw. They only gave 7 shrimp, a little bit of fries and the coleslaw was nasty. For as much as you pay you would think they would give you more food; and for the lack of attention to cleaniness, you would think the food would be better. I definitely will not be going back here. One part safe bet, two parts interesting options. After reviewing the cocktails, and asking waitstaff for recommendations, I ordered the Liquid Sword. This cocktail was a unique combination of flavors that accentuated and complimented each other to make something more than the sum of its parts. For my meal, I ordered the safe bet: the Prime Ribeye. My wife took the adventurous route (not normal for her) with the Gochujang Bolognese. Everything was amazing. The steak stood on its own, but the compound butter (Black Garlic) took it over the top. The Bolognese had amazing flavor with a little bit of a kick, which she was nervous about, but wanted to try something she couldn't get anywhere else. In a tourist town, there are many mediocre restaurants that survive on one time tourist visits. Ones that would quickly be out of business in any other town. Ember is not one of them. It was obvious to me that the waitstaff had respect for the guests and the guest experience, which is so rare and so refreshing. You could tell they actually genuinely cared. I noticed several small details that may have went unnoticed to some, such as pipelining solutions to possible issues to improve guest experience. Don't sleep on this restaurant. We came into town and didn't realize that most of the "nicer" restaurants close early (8:30p) and that you need a reservation. I'm so glad we looked at other places and found Ember. It was a wonderful experience and we look forward to going back the next time we're in town. Ember, if you are reading this: keep on keeping on. Do not turn into the status quo of tourist trap restaurants. Keep a menu that has approachable items and continue to keep the unique interesting items like you have, while empowering your staff to help the guests to connect with the dishes that they will enjoy.
