My Dad was trying to direct us to some other restaurant but I saw the better reviews here (for the same cuisine) and made the decision to drive us here . We ended up dining here twice during our 4 night stay In the area. The first time I had the fajitas (chicken) and they were excellent! HUGE chicken portions. The second time I had a chicken salad and, again, huge chicken portion. My kids had the tacos and dinosaur chicken nuggets. My parents ordered specials each time and loved them. This place is always packed! The staff is so friendly. Plenty of parking, indoor and outdoor seating along with a bar that also has seating. Complimentary chips with red and white salsa (iykyk). Huge portions and decent prices. The menu has so many options / combos / veggie / kids portion / etc. We split the burrito espinaca (spinach, chicken, rice and beans covered in a spinach cream sauce and cheese sauce), it was so tasty! Upon entering, we were greeted warmly, and the service throughout our meal was good. However, I can't give a five star rating due to a few issues. My child's chicken taco kids meal was mistakenly made with beef, which we didn't bother to correct. The bigger concern was the excessive saltiness of my Burrito Mexicano (a mix of chicken, steak, and chorizo). It was so salty I struggled to finish it, having to push the meat aside and primarily eat the other fillings and tortilla. This is rapidly becoming the family's go to TexMex in Williamsburg. We love hitting up the lunch menu. Fast, tasty, filling, great service, TV's showing real football (aka, soccer) with periodic "GOOOOAAAALLL" screaming announcers. Definitely puts you in the mood to have fun and enjoy yourself. Started out with the standard app: chips & salsa. It just warms my heart whenever some place serves white salsa. Or whatever they call it. I know I'm in heaven then. One day I'll figure out what's in it and likely stop. But until then - bliss. I am a sucker for any TexMex with a "Speedy Gonzalez" lunch item. In fact, I don't recall if I've ever NOT seen that lunch option. In this case, it gets you a taco & enchilada that is probably the standard for a Speedy. Unfortunately only one side? Mixed bag. Entree was good. Chips and salsa were bland. Service was sporadic. (We sat in a room with a dozen or so tables and there was no one in sight for several minutes at a time. We resulted to waiving at our server and were still ignored twice.) We are here on vacation and found 10% off coupons for this place in three different brochures. We brought one not noticing it only listed one address and it wasn't this location and the coupon was refused. When we got back to the hotel we saw the other two coupons both listed all three locations, so our server was technically correct but the whole thing felt pretty petty. Also worth noting that there is a sticker on the front of the menu warning that the prices are higher than listed. The wording is vague, but the price increases described are per item. read more

It's such a shame that I didn't have a good time there. The food looked like it would've been amazing but everybody's dishes came out cold, the nachos we ordered had cold beef and the cheese wasn't melted at all, plus soggy chips. That type of service was really terrible, especially since we waited a good 40 minutes for our food before somebody had to say something to them, I mean you'd think the food would come out hot after waiting that long but it did not. Went on a Tuesday and enjoyed their $1.50 taco special of either a chicken or ground beef hard shell. The shells seemed that they were just fried and were so good. I only tried the shredded chicken and they were delicious. Chips, salsa and white sauce were all good. The Coke was also really good. Our waitress was super attentive and checked on us often. Upon entering the resistant around 4:00 pm on a Monday, due to there no being a hostess, I waited for approximately 3 minutes before a waitress noticed me. She gave the impression of being annoyed that she now had this duty by her body language and facial expression. She marked me down on the seating chart and quickly escorted me to a table across from the bar. A few minutes later she gave me chips, salsa and a ranch- like dressing. Thereafter, I was completely ignore by the entries staff. Nobody came to take my drink order. As I waited, and waited, I played three games of solitaire on my cellphone. After 13 minutes of being ignored, I got up from the table and walked out. So, I cannot comment on the food order drinks because I never had one; yet, the service is terrible! read more

Mexican Food Done Well. We ordered the Luch Special 2 and 4. Both were delicious! My burrito and taco were filled with ground beef that had obviously been slow cooked with a little cumin, onions, and other spices that gave it the authentic flavor we expected. The red sauce was an authentic burria sauce. The taco was a grilled flour tortilla with the same meat, lettuce, creme fresh, amd Mexican style cheese. Our service was quick and efficient. The steak in the burrito bowl was a little tough (not great quality) and the cauliflower rice was more like cauliflower mash (the frozen green giant stuff microwaved is better) but again, TEN STARS for the tortilla chips alternative. I'm always on the search for something scrumptious and what I found here was definitely that right there! So I went with one of the combos with an enchilada, chilli relleno, and a burrito all of it was delicious and definitely hit the spot! Their red sauce was yummy it had a good flavor to it making each item just that much more enjoyable than the next! The enchiladas were awesome they were packed with cheese which had a really yummy gooey flavor to it just the way it should be! The real star was my chilli relleno as that was legit and delicious definitely one of the better ones I've had on the east coast as the pepper was perfectly stuffed with cheese it had a nice fry on it and just totally the best part of this yummy dish! The burrito was also good but the real star was the chilli relleno so definitely seek that out here as it's just that yummy! They also give you chips and salsa which both were yummy too as I love a good spot where both of those are good too! The food was great. It as the slowest service I have ever encountered. There was plenty of staff and only four or five tables.

Discovered this restaurant while leaving Busch gardens and lucked out because there weren't many food options open late in the area still serving food. Parking was easy as it is located in a strip mall. The inside of the restaurant is either very new and not decorated or it is just bare bones decorated with no general theme. I had my doubts upon entering the restaurant as it seemed understaffed and crowded. We waited maybe 5-10 minutes for a table for 6 that had to be cleaned prior to being seated. Upon being seating we had 3 different servers ask for our drink order, this was a bit disorganized and frustrating. We had a different server bring drinks, a different server take our order, and a different server who brought out our meals. Once seated we were given a never ending flow of fresh warm chips and salsa. They were warm and fresh out of the fryer and the salsa has a wonderful flavor to it. All of our entrees were huge portions and we were able to bring home leftovers. I opted for the quesadilla rellenos with chicken which was delicious and two quesadillas. I was given rice I assume as a default side which was okay and very well flavored. The fajitas were fantastic and a perfect sized portion to split between two. The burrito was good just had to be customized. The larger burrito came drowned in a delicious queso that it was barely half eaten and had to be taken home. I won't lie we just picked a place off of apple maps while driving up 95N. When we pulled up I didn't expect a whole lot but let me tell you I was greatly surprised. Prices were great especially for the lunch specials. I think pre-tip it was $12ish for lunch with a water. The food was amazing I had the Carne Asada Burrito with rice and beans ***** stars and no one at the table with me had any complaints about their food either. The service was good and staff made sure our waters were always filled and we had all the chips and salsa we wanted. If I lived in the area that would definitely be a goto restaurant. read more

After a long but good day at Busch Gardens we stopped here on the way back to our campground for dinner. Somehow, Mexican cuisine is always a draw for us. We were on the late side for dinner at 8:30pm explaining our hunger, especially the grandchildren. For me, the atmosphere was a little far from Mexican, especially the lighting, being way too bright. But, we were seated immediately and our server, NErys C., welcomed us and took our drink order. I ordered Miller Lite, my wife ordered a margarita, and the kids had water. Soon NErys was back with drinks and we were ready to order dinner. My wife split a three item Make Your Own, our grandson ordered a deconstructed Shrimp and rice with the vegetables and cheese on the side, and our granddaughter ordered two cheese quesadillas. The food came out quickly and it was good. I still say that the ambiance took something away from the experience. If we were ever traveling through this area again we would search out a different Mexican restaurant for that reason. For those who do not care about ambiance, go for it, the food makes it worth your while. Ciao. read more

We wanted to like this restaurant- it's close by, clean, and the service is friendly. The food however is not good. The first time we visited we got a chimichanga and chiles relleno, both of which were unspiced except for salt- so much salt. I got agua de Jamaica to drink, and was disappointed that it tasted like it came from a mix. When something is as easy to make as Jamaica, there's no excuse for it to be bad. Second visit I got enchiladas verdes, which again were completely unspiced. The filling was a sweet, salty, barbecued pork. The mushy rice on the side had so much knorr/maggi/goya powder that it was a salt lick. I asked for spicy salsa, and was told that their spiciest was on the table. It was completely flavorless, and the servers couldn't tell me what chilies were in it. It looked like they used dried chilies, and maybe tomatillos, but they went out of their way to make it bland. I get that restaurants in this area have to cater to the overwhelmingly bland palates of the residents, but I don't understand why they can't have proper salsas for people who want them. Maria Bonita on Mooretown Road seems to be the only Mexican restaurant that does that. La terraza is just disappointing. read more

I've stopped giving reviews on here because I have been disappointed when I do and then when I go back to the same place...it's not good. So...I've made a rule to only do a review after 5 or 6 visits. And I found one I'm very happy to do a review for! LTM is new and for Tex Mex ... it's pretty tasty! I've tried a variety of items and the food has not disappointed. Portion size is more than filling. Service is friendly and attentive. Ambiance is not overly done but appropriate. Music can be on the loud side at times but not overbearing. And it's clean. Looks it, smells it, and feels it. So I would say go! It's worth the money which by the way, is not over priced. This late-closing restaurant was a pleasant experience after the long lines for food at Busch Garden (which is nearby). All of the food was good to excellent, which was impressive considering the extensive menu. The service was friendly and prompt. The only hiccups we encountered were the extra breading in the kids' fried shrimp (order something else), and the cheese on the beans (we would have preferred the menu say that cheese would be on the beans).
