I hired Mariachi Ameca for my wedding and they were everything I could hope for. From the beginning, I talked to Martha pretty often and she was so helpful! Answering all of my questions (and I had A LOT). They were always prompt to reply and the day of were on time and ready to go. They played at church, cocktail hour and during dinner and everything was a success. They played songs I asked them to play and also songs that were in a similar vain. My father recently hired Mariachi Ameca for my November 3rd wedding. My family loves mariachi music and we've hired different groups throughout the years for major events-- however, Mariachi Ameca blows them all away. In addition to playing all of our favorites, they also played a couple of songs in english for my husband's side of the family. They were such a hit that towards the end of our cocktail hour and their playing time, several of my family members tried to pay them to stay longer. They were otherwise engaged, or else we probably would have kept them and their lovely music there all night. Looking back on that day, it was truly one of the best parts of our wedding experience. If it was possible to give a 10 star I would give it! This mariachi band was absolutely fabulous. They totally made our party! My husband loves the mariachis and we hired the band to celebrate his 60th birthday party. Everyone even the children were entertained!! This group was great! We hired them to sing during cocktail hour/dinner at our wedding on 11/2/19. All of the guests loved it! They sounded incredible. My husband also wanted to sing a song with them before dinner - he sent them the song and key a few weeks in advance. A few minutes before he went up to them to run through it once - he sang the first notes and they immediately started playing along perfectly - I watched in awe. These guys were amazing! I found this group through word of mouth and a few recommendations online. I realized right away that these guys were the real deal just by how everyone spoke about them. They were highly recommended. They even performed during new years eve at adobe grill. Which is an upscale mexican restaurant. We decided to book them for my grandmothers 74th birthday party. We booked them for an hour. The setup and booking was easy. They were very clear about where we lived, asked if we had any special requests, and made sure to learn a little about my grandma before their booking. Their website is easy to navigate and their business was legit. They showed up early, dressed very nice in traditional outfits and they were very professional. They are a family owned group and had multiple members, 8 i believe. Their entrance was amazing! They were very traditional and began playing and singing right away. They made sure to perform every song we asked for but they started by singing mananitas, which is happy birthday in spanish. That was during their entrance while we were cutting her cake. They even took requests from the crowd! They showed up at 8 pm and played their full hour and did a few more songs for free! I was in awe at their performances and the main singer had the voice of an angel. Our entire party loved their performance, even the people that were not latin. The party was in our backyard so our neighbors even came to enjoy the music. My grandmother, a woman that never shows emotion, cried from joy during their time there and i never seen her smile so much! After their performance, we invited them to stay and eat with us and they did. Everyone in the group was very friendly and personable. So in short, definitely hire this group! They are traditional, amazing at what they do and gave an outstanding performance. They play at very nice restaurants and come highly recommended by word of mouth. Most of our friends and family live in Pilsen and told us right away these were the go-to group if you want Mariachis and they were spot on! read more

This is our second time hiring Mariachi Ameca, and we are never disappointed. Mariachi Ameca was incredible! We had Caucasian and Hispanic guests, and all the guests enjoyed and commented how Mariachi Ameca was the best part of the wedding. People are asking for the Mariachi's name and contact, and I am passing it along. Our daughter Maritza and her husband Erik were amazed by how beautiful the Mariachi played and sang. Mariachi Ameca was amazing! They made our wedding a hit! They showed up on time, and played beautifully! They also let me sing Tu Solo Tu with them! We were kinda wishy washy since my husband and I aren't very organized, and we called them the week of with the final confirmation on the start date for our reception, and they were super accommodating. I'd absolutely recommend them in a heartbeat and I hope to use them again! Without a doubt I HIGHLY recommend Mariachi Ameca to anyone. I recently had them play at my wedding last weekend and they were fantastic. The majority of my family are from Mexico but my wife is a mix of Irish and German. Her family was a little skeptical thinking it was an average band playing for tips like you would find at the restaurants. By end of the night I heard nothing but positive responses of how much they loved the music. The best part was the look on thier faces when one of them sang "My kind of town" by Frank Sinatra and sounded EXACTLY like the real Frank. We were looking for a Mariachi for the cocktail hour before out wedding. We wanted a traditional sound that would also appeal to an audience with many from Mexico, and many not. These guys filled the bill and played a great set that was lively and great-sounding, but not so loud that you couldn't hear people to talk. We got many positive comments from our guests and were very pleased. The only downside is that they didn't ask about our song preferences. read more

We have had experiences with many Mariachi groups. NONE of them can measure up to Mariachi Ameca! They were amazing! They sounded fantastic! We booked them for my daughters Quinceanera party and we had submitted a rather long list of preferred songs that were not the "usual" mariachi songs. They knew every song and sang them all! We booked this mariachi for my brother's birthday and they were fantastic! Despite the severe weather of the day, they were on time and ready to go. Not only were they professional, but they sounded amazing and really made the night everything we had hoped for. They even took a picture with us and were very friendly. They spoke English and were very easy to communicate with. These are not your typical mariachi guys! It is a family-run group which makes it so much more special. Bad business decision they stood us up on our wedding! A deposit was given months in advance and we confirmed a day prior on location and time. On our day they were no shows!! The bride stood outside the church for over an hour in tears, contact was made with them and they stated they were on their way running late to the North Side. The church was on the SOUTH SIDE! After telling them this they immediately hung up and ignored my calls for the rest of the day. I ended paying more money to extend our photos, reception and DJ. It was a disaster they obviously doubled booked and we had to be the ones they screwed. We did get our deposit back and they offered a free hour at no cost. Really? Do you think we would expect you guys to show up for free? Well guess what a year later I took up on that offer for my new born's baptism . Can you guess what happened next? My husband's family is Mexican and our ceremony and reception were going to include the Mexican culture, so I really wanted to also have a Mariachi Band. I looked around for a while and could not find one that really seemed like a reliable choice, so I gave up. Well about 2-3 weeks before my wedding, I decided to look one more time to see if I could find one. I found Mariachi Ameca on some review website for different vendors (I don't remember the name) and called them after checking through their website. They gave me all the information and seemed fairly reliable, so they sent me a contract, I signed and sent a deposit. I decided to surprise my fiance, so he had no idea until he walked into our reception on the day of and heard them playing. It was just such a nice addition to our wedding and they did a wonderful job! Everyone seemed to be talking about them and felt that they were a really good Mariachi Band. They definitely take pride in their work and it showed. If we need a Mariachis in the future, we will definitely be calling them :) I gave four stars instead of five just because the price was a little expensive for our 1 hr of cocktails that they performed. I asked if they could have fewer members (they had 9 I think) for a lower price, but on the weekends they said they need to have all ten, which I guess makes sense.
