First time here for quick lunch...had the Hawaiian Quesadilla. Pretty good but I like mine cut in triangles & not presented like a taco. Nothing stood out...but menu pictures were nice & overall ambiance was cool. May try again.

The atmosphere wasn't warm at all. .. it was just ok. Bathroom definitely could use some love. The food saved the day and the review! I ordered the Pollo Hawaiiano. It was perfectly seared chicken with pineapples and onions. The cheese was great and the rice was fresh. Lunch price point was 9.99. Not bad!

While waiting to get a haircut, I visited Mariachi's located off of Chestnut Street in Berea near the interstate exit. The restaurant is tucked away beside a motel and behind a couple of local shops. You can access it through a hidden drive just before the Prince Royal traffic light or by driving through the America's Best Value Inn parking lot. There is ample room in the parking lot and a large entrance area. The hostess sits behind a large desk, the same place you'll return to pay for your meal. She quickly seated me. The restaurant looked a lot busier judged by the number of the cars in the lot; however, since there is vast room in the dining area, people were seated sparsely. A marker board informs customers of the special of the day. For lunch, it was a two-enchilada plate served with Mexican rice and refried beans. The lunch menu was standard fare: burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, and meat combinations topped with veggies and either cheese or colorado sauce. Enchiladas, it was! A floor server brought chips with mild salsa. The portion is huge. I opted for two beef enchiladas topped with colorado sauce. The ground beef inside was cooked properly, juicy, but unseasoned. The colorado sauce wasn't savory either. In fact, it reminded me of, I kid you not, a Mannwich, just with slightly more thinned-out consistency. The enchiladas were topped with an ample amount of cheese. The beans and rice were fine, too. The rice came mixed with carrots, rice, and corn, which made it slightly sweeter than expected too. Good thing the beans were nicely salted; otherwise, it'd be a bit much. With a sweet tea, the bill came to approximately $11 before tip. If I were in the area for lunch time again, I might consider Mariachi's. The service was fine and the server was sure to bring the check quickly in case if I had to go in a rush. I don't know if I would take a special trip. I think you have to try some of the signature dishes to make that decision. All said, all good.

My dad and I came here for a father daughter lunch. It was absolutely fantastic as always. You can tell everything is made in store and fresh. Our server was also great. If you need a good Mexican restaurant to eat at, this is definitely the one!

They got our order wrong twice and didn't even say sorry. The food was barely above taco bell.

I arrived at 11:30 (they open at 11:00) and the restaurant was already busy. As with most Mexican restaurants, the lunch started off with complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were a little disappointing and stale. I was expecting fresh chips (since it was 30 minutes after opening), and I believe that they were left over from the previous evening. The salsa was very good and flavorful. I had the Pollo Casa Amigos ($12.99) from the lunch menu (grilled chicken and California vegetables on a bed of rice with cheese sauce). There was a very generous amount of chicken. The meal was very good. Full of flavor. Vegetables were cooked perfectly. I also ordered a side of fresh jalapeño peppers (fried). The fried fresh jalapeños were very good. As with all jalapeños, some are hot, some are not (which the restaurant has no control over). These were not as hot as I hoped, but again, this is not the fault of the restaurant, just an observation. Whenever I am in the Berea area and wanting Mexican food, I would definitely eat here again, but it's your typical Mexican restaurant. The only reason for the 4 star rating is due to the chips being stale. Other than that, definitely worth a stop!

It was not that crowded when we were there so we couldn't figure out if our server was really slow or the kitchen was backed up. We will give it another try but they do need to work on their service times.

Drove out to Richmond to meet some friends for dinner…read more We ordered some wings and choriqueso for an app 10/10. I always like to try wings at Mexican restaurants and they are always great. My friend ordered the molcajete and everything was super tender and it came with a house sauce at the bottom of it to give it extra flavor. It has a variety of meats and fried cheese and a cactus piece on it. Definitely big enough for two and unique! I ordered the carne asada, my piece came with more fat than I'm used to. Although the flavor was great. I paired it with a michelada and it came out a little spicy. The service was great they were on top of it. The inside of the restaurant was gorgeous too, very colorful and cozy. Seats were comfortable, overall a good dinner experience.

I judge every trip to a new Mexican place by their version of the Speedy Gonzalez. This is a taco, an enchilada bean or rice. I had the beef version of this here, while it was solid, it did not blow my socks off. Beef was seasoned well, everything was piping hot and the taste was pretty bland overall. The refried beans were very tasty and the little bit of cheese on top was a great touch! I did not care for the salsa and chips. It didn't have much zip to it or any onion or cilantro flavors that I like. Chips were thick but warm and sprinkled with salt. I was there in the middle of the day and the place seemed a little dark. Service was fast and friendly. I will give it another whirl and try something different. But there are other Mexican places I will try before I go back to this one. Will give them an shout out for putting the crunchy taco on a bed of lettuce.
