Roma charges $9,000 for shared rooms that are on the first floor and $2,000 for private rooms that are located in the basement. If first floor is full, you get stuck in the basement and get to pay an extra $2,000 for a place you don't want to be. Then they will complain about coming down to the basement to care for you. Most of the caregivers speak another language and communication can be difficult. Once you get here, it can be difficult to get out! Roma seemed to stall my transfer. She told me I would not be happy at the place that I was going. She even tried to talk the owner of the assisted living home that I am in now not to take me, saying I would be too much work for them. Fortunately, the owner's intuition and prayers guided her to accept me . I feel blessed now that I am in a safe and joyful environment and no longer at Roma Home Care.

The owner and staff were extremely kind to him, and to all the residents there. The owner was a doctor in Lithuania and took such great care of him. The lady who gave them one star and complained about them only having about eight residents was just being rude and lying. It was great that they only accepted a few residents because each resident had two or three staff assisting them at all times. The homemade food in the home-like atmosphere was wonderful and my father found comfort there. Roma had several residents whose families stopped paying and she kept them for years afterwards. We were blessed to find her and I am sad that her business is for sale now.

It started out to be just a two-week respite period, but upon consulting with people in my life who I hold in high regard, it was recommended to make it permanent. This did not bode well with her, but we proceeded and moved her in July of 2022. Best decision EVER. It took a while for her to acclimate, but within a short period, she adapted and became quite popular with residents and staff. I affectionally call it "the Resort", because if they had a pool, I'd have moved in! The grounds are lovely and well maintained, as is the interior. Clean public restrooms, no odor, well-furnished and esthetically appealing. The dining room is very inviting and well-kempt and staff is very accommodating The staff is personable, caring, attentive and kind. There are a multitude of activities every day and weekly outings outside of the Resort, including dining out, shopping and the casino! My mom had to check her calendar to see if she was "available" for me to visit. They also have a salon for haircuts, styles, etc. as well as offering manicures on a weekly basis. There is transportation available every Tuesday and Thursday for residents to attend medical, dental and eye appointments. They also host events for families a couple times a year (summer picnic and Holiday luncheon) and they're very well attended. I'd be remiss not to mention "Happy Hour" every Friday at 3:30. :-) Green Tree is their pharmacy and can supply all of your loved one's medications pre-portioned, packaged and covered by Medicare. The meds can be self-administered or by the nursing staff, depending on the resident's capability and family preference. The use of Green Tree is not a requirement. ESL also has in-house PT/OT staff and equipment on the premise (also available to Legacy residents). They are wonderful and patient. They want to see the residents be comfortable, strong and thrive and will do all they can to make that happen. The nursing staff is on-point, as I received calls late at night if my mom was having an issue. My mom was hospitalized on January 8, 2026 and diagnosed with Flu A virus. She remained there for 10 days and sent to a skilled nursing facility (SNF), from which she was discharged on February 20. We moved her back to her own apartment at ESL under hospice care. She passed away on March 8 at the age of 90 1/2. Between residents and staff, it was like a parade in her apartment. Everyone was so incredibly supportive, it left me speechless. I have been back a couple of times and plan to do so at least once a month to visit with the friends we made there, both residents and staff. I have and will recommend Evergreen to anyone looking for an assisted living or memory care facility for their loved ones. Thank you ALL for what you do. Susan

It included blood pressure, EKG, blood work, urinalysis, etc. This ruled out a life-threatening emergency . I was reevaluated every few hrs or so. At that point, I could have left since a heart attack was ruled out, or I'm sure I would have received immediate care. A triage nurse has extra training in emergency evaluations. I was seen by the doctor after 14 hrs. of waiting and then admitted for two days. This is just my opinion. I think a lot of the people in the ER could have gone to an urgent care or waited to see their doctor the next day. Some people did leave. I guess they decided they weren't that sick. The wait time is ridiculous, but what can the hospital and staff do when people keep coming in. There are also ambulances coming in as well. The staff did their best to make people as comfortable as possible. In my opinion the staff work very hard to take care of the patients. I don't know what the solution is, but I do know it's people much higher up that need to fix the problem . It's sure not the staff.
