    Deceptively located sign.

I'm done with shopping here. I don't know how many times I have bought specially marked items and the price rings up incorrectly. Today I walked up to a huge display of pop, Pepsi, coke etc., with only 12 packs on display. It said $7.49 each buy 2 get 2 free. I took 4 and when checking out, they rang up $11.99 each and the 2 free were not there. I showed the sign to the employee who pointed out tiny letters saying it only applied to 6 packs 16.9 oz. So, why was this sign on a huge display of 12 packs with no 6 packs on sale displayed? Obviously, they are trying to fool folks who think they are dealing with an honest corporation. I've read how Kroger does these things. If you're going to shop there be careful and read the signs twice including the small print. See my pic.

I went to Mariano's in Arlington Heights to get a cake for my mother's and brother's birthday. This grocery store is a bit far from home, and I only go here if it's on the way. The birthday cake turned out great with the writing the way we wanted it. The chocolate frosting was a little salty, which I actually liked. The fudge center was very rich and dense. I loved it. The marble cake was a little dry but not horrible. The store is laid out in a way where it's easy to find things. I recommend Mariano's in Arlington Heights for their cakes and other fresh food.

Been shopping Marion's for years went downhill after he sold out to big Corp store years ago then got little better under krogers but last few months it went rock bottom especially the meats .constantly go in and see brown and exp meats. Used go in and by 8am all expired meats gone now go in mid afternoon see this. Many good workers still Bakery excellent still and always fresh sushi . Deli salad case wonderful. Can't wait till piggy wiggly take over maybe they upgrade it

The produce was not up to usual standards, and I could not find mini garlic toast...so I had to get some at Jewel to add to tje acquired mozzarella, roma tomatoes and basil ... man I was craving caprese crostini. God I love the smell of basil. Ahh. #FirstWorldProbs At least they carry "Melt" the best coconut spread in existence.

This Marianos location is always very clean and the shelves well stocked! I'm really happy to see the sushi area open again. The sushi is always so fresh and they guy helping us is always so nice and helpful. He's also very knowledgeable about his department and what he is preparing. So, here's a shout out to Justin in sushi! The cashiers are really nice. It's just a great Marianos! Great job! This is a heck of a grocery store.  I have (2) of them in close proximity to my home, but they are nothing like this location.  Just a real joy to shop in--kind of an amusement park for those who love grocery stores.   From the smell of the caramel corn, back to the grill-- you're killing me with that grill, dude--- it's really something.  The only reason this is not a 5 star review is simple--just like every other grocery store, there is no one on the floor to help customers find something.  Of course, if I shopped there more regularly I would have the store memorized and would not have to ask silly questions. Additional comment--when you feature such a large liquor department, you should have more than one poor woman running to 6 registers to scan liquor for a pack of 16 year old cashiers. That really causes a delay. But, while I waited, I continued to admire, so life goes on.  :)

To the extremely rude manager who was unpacking chips on Thursday, May 27, 2021 around 9:30 in the morning when I dared to ask where their bottled coffee was: thank you for treating me like I was some kind of a loser freak for not being able to find your bottled coffee "with our other coffee's." This is what your bottled coffee section looks like, which is why I missed it when I walked down that aisle twice before I bothered you. If you set foot in any other grocery store besides your Mariono's, you would know that most stores actually have more than two empty shelves dedicated towards Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks, and about a dozen other brands of bottled coffees. So please try not to be so rude to your customers who ask you questions, because maybe their questions are legitimate. Maybe they actually did spend five-ten minutes looking up and down both your coffee aisle and all of your other beverage aisles several times looking for this product before they apparently unforgivably bothered you for your time and your assistance as an employee of the store. And by the way.....kindness matters. This is mental health awareness month, so I thought I would throw that in there, especially because you never know what the customer you're being rude to is going through. And for the same reason, I did not hunt you down and get your name and report you for your rudeness, because maybe you are going through something too. But you're the person who works in the store, so maybe you should try not to be an ass to your customers. Especially if you somehow climbed your way up to management.

Like everyone else, I waited quite a while for this store to open - hoping that it would bring more…read morechoices in the area (there's actually a lot of grocery options nearby, but the items carried are quite similar). While the opening of this store did bring something different, I'm not sure it was exactly the different that I was hoping for. The big draw of Amazon Fresh is probably in its tech. There's Alexa throughout the store to give you guidance and nice digital signage throughout. This does give the store a more modern feel, though having been to other Amazon Fresh locations, I was hoping that it would feel a bit more futuristic now. However in this regard, Amazon Fresh just feels very similar to whole foods with a bit lower prices and different brand options. In terms of the cart, this is where I wish that it were improved a bit. I'm not sure that the scanning is really significantly better than what they've had in the last few years, which for me makes this process not a smooth and effortless as it could be with even better technology. The initial setup is also still a bit confusing for newcomers who may find the pairing process with the cart a little confusing without someone to point out where to find the links on the interface. Similarly, without a little guidance on the self-checkout process, it can be a bit confusing as well. The food selection here is pretty standard for an Amazon Fresh, which isn't too different from what you'd expect to find at Jewel. There are different pricing levels available, with a lot of the most competitive items being store brand with Prime pricing. Overall selection seems to be quite good in the dry goods and frozen items -- I was a bit disappointed in some of the fresh items as I was hoping for more in-house items in the bakery and a bit larger selection of ready-to-eat items. While they don't have a bad selection, many local grocery stores have a substantial number of cakes, breads, meats, entrees, etc. available to easily pickup and very competitive prices. This alone may keep me from visiting more often as having a variety of these convenient entrees is important for my busy work schedule and fresh bakery items / cakes is important for my busy social schedule. Overall, interesting new option in the area for groceries. While not bad, it doesn't meet my needs as good as I'd hoped at the time of this writing - however the overall store cleanliness, generally competitive prices, and use of newer technologies is something that's still not common at other grocery stores yet.

Though they are noted. On entry staff greet visitors. I assume this will be normal ongoing activity at least while the store is newer and people are still integrating DashCarts into their lifestyle. Inside of the store is ample space to move even with a high throughput of customers. THROUGHPUT is important here. The store is BUSY but the customer flow is fast and people are quick moving inside. The noise level is above average, Yo Amazon, will ya turn down the ambient music? People are trying to think in here! I can't hear myself think let alone run a register with these noise levels! The self checkout systems are decent though the hardware needs serious work. Touch screens take way too much force to activate. Scan guns don't pick up in store codes easily not for clients nor associates. It doesn't matter who is running the register. These screens and guns need to be calibrated, full stop! Thank goodness the staff here are astonishingly polite and helpful. A staff agent followed us through the entire self checkout and took note of problems with the checkout system. Hopefully these issues will be worked on. Sushi was good and fresh. I'll definitely return for groceries here as long as prices stay competitive and for the love of god. Fix those self checkouts and the scanner guns in general. The whole stores scanners suuuuck

Like other Jewels, their produce is very good. Although the selection of varied produce items isn't great, they stock the basics of what you need. If you want a wider variety of fresh produce, you should go to Valli Produce. This store is well laid out making things pretty easy to find. I like their deli counter for their selection of Dietz and Watson cold cuts and their salad selection is large. I don't buy from their bakery often, but have been happy with the quality of baked goods when I have. I have not tried the meat/fish counter at this location so can't speak to that. Like all other Jewels, my big complaint is about their high prices. You can go to Aldi and walk out with similar items for a fraction of what you pay at Jewel. I want to give a shout out to Andrea and Chris (I wish I had last names!)…read more You know what it's like when life gets so stressful that you are struggling to find a reason to make it through the day, and then you discover a sweet treat in the international candy aisle of your local Tony's that is like nothing else you've ever eaten, and it becomes your nightly reward for making it through another day? No? Just me? Well, then humor me. I found that treat (and I'm not identifying it because I don't want my store to run out!!) and I stopped in my Tony's Monday morning to get my week's worth, and despite the fact that I hadn't seen the supply dwindle at all in the months I've been eating these treats (so I just assumed I was the only one who bought them,) AND they had literally boxes full of product every time I came to Tony's, my heart SUNK when I saw the empty shelf. Sometimes when life rains, it pours, and life has been pouring on me, and seeing that one of the few things I had to look forward to was gone, broke the camel's back. I headed toward customer service, and saw a woman standing in front of customer service (she may have been supervising the self checkout) and I approached her on the verge of tears and explained that they were out of the only thing that brought me joy, and she said "well then, we will find it." That was Angela. Thank you, Angela!!! Truly, an angel! I was expecting judgment, not kindness. I was hoping they had just moved the candy to a different display or something but Angela looked into it and they were completely out (and when I'd been in less than a week earlier, there was still a LOT of product that was about a year away from expiration, so I guess I'm NOT the only one who finds this item irresistible!) So Angela recruited a very kind gentleman named Chris who got my information, placed an order with the vendor, and barely 24 hours later I got a text from Chris that the product was at the store waiting for me. My experience with "customer service" on a whole lately has been that no one seems to care anymore. Or that people do the absolute minimum that they can get away with. I cannot remember the last time I had a company truly care if I was happy with my shopping experience. Angela could have just told me to "go look for the product at other Tony's stores" or online ... but instead she made sure the item would be available at my preferred store. Chris could have just told me "they'll be in some time next week, come in and look" .... but instead, he texted me to let me know when they arrived, and because I couldn't make it into the store that day, he made sure to set side the quantity I need. Again, these are all such small things in the grand scheme of life, but Joy and kindness are so important and so hard to come by these days. Because of the kindness of Andrea and Chris, I'm able to find little bits of joy at the end of the day, as I work my way through this difficult chapter in my life.

They also have a very good meat counter that is reasonably priced. We mainly go there for their Taqueria. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they have a taco special. And, while the price has gone up with inflation and higher grocery prices, their special is still a bargain - three tacos and a drink for $6.99. They offer counter service (right next to the meat department), and have about 15 tables (a best guess). Their portions are enormous, so go hungry. This time, we went on a Wednesday, so there was no special... Still, the prices are reasonable. My partner had a couple of tacos (Al Pastor and Carne Asada), and I had the Carnitas dinner. They were out of rice, which was fine - I prefer double beans anyway. The dinner comes with rice and beans (or one double), about a pound of meat, and three hot tortillas served in foil. Neither of us were able to finish our meals and ended up taking a lot home. We did get some meat from their counter while there, along with fresh vegetables for a big salad.
