I have now been at least 4 times, possibly 5, with the same thing each time: clear or natural colored acrylic with a gel topcoat. This time was a fill of nails I had done at my regular place over 2-3 weeks prior. At first, I thought maybe they were busy, so I walked out -- but then turned around to ask how long the wait might be, only to be told "no" again. When I asked for clarification on whether we couldn't get services at all, the answer was still just "no." If this salon is appointment-only or unable to take walk-ins, that's completely understandable -- but basic communication and professionalism go a long way. A simple explanation would have made all the difference. Instead, the experience felt rude, confusing, and unnecessarily dismissive. Customers deserve clear, respectful communication, especially when they're walking in ready to spend money. Unfortunately, this experience left a very poor first impression.

The manicurist rushed through my pedicure treatment and I could tell she was irritated and unhappy in her situation. The owner finally showed up and immediately started awkwardly conversing with everyone about how he kept trying to get the manicurist to sleep with him but she refused. I eventually made it to the manicure where the technician again rushed through and gave me the ugliest shellac job I've ever seen. I had nail polish all over the sides of my fingers and cuticles. I was unhappy but paid and went on my way, just thankful to be out of there after almost 3 hours. By the next morning, 4 of the acrylic nails had already popped off or broken. I went back the next morning and the owner fixed them for free. He was much nicer and not obnoxious when he was alone. Despite that, the nails he "fixed" popped off again within 24 hours. I went back and just had him remove the whole situation, again for free. I will not be returning even though the place is very clean.
