**Under NEW MGMT** I have followed Zoe and her husband for almost 8 years! I am very picky and Zoe learned my liking and stuck with her thru the different shops she has been over the years. Today, her and her husband finally run Sunny Nails in Cove. I have moved to Austin since and STILL drive to Cove for my nails and Killeen [Chemar Salon] for my hair. -- Yes, I've tried nail and hair throughout Austin AND San Antonio.. their too expensive and I'm never satisfied with their work. If you live in Killeen - try them - they have a punch card to earn free services.. I dont know anyone else who does that. They dont really know about Yelp, so I am giving them a shoutout and hopefully new folks from the vicinity will try them out! I got my nails done by Rachel - she was awesome- I finally got the nail shape I have been wanting - other places just don't understand the concept of square round - She's not rude like most places. Super nice folks but pricey for the inexperienced level of services I received. Had pedi, fill and wax. Pedi was ok, no slippers to walk out in so every toe was smudged even with open toed sandals. Fill was ok tho the attendant was paying more attention to his phone, wax awful, done in a chair not a table, had to pluck at home afterwards. Will not return. read more

Had acrylic nails removed and a "manicure". Not only did my nail beds get burned several times from the high speed drill my finger tips got burned from the piping hot acetone soak. The moment I enter the salon, one of the owner welcomed me with a big smile in her face that made me patiently wait for my turn even if I hate waiting. eyelash clusters were horrible there was so much glue on my eyes I couldn't open them so I had to take them off and even after soaking them and working through them for three hours I stop had to rip some off and it made my eyelids bleed. nails are good tho. read more

Walked in, there was only 1 client. The guy working said he would call someone in to do pedicure,5 minutes. OK no problem. He went on to tell me how they take there time and I would enjoy my first time there. Well as usual it's all about turnover and I received a rushed 35 minute pedicure. I went her to get my eyebrows down for the first time I usually wax my own. This young lady came out to do them for me. I my eyebrows are really thick I want to keep them this way I just need simple clean up don't do a full wax I then repeated I want them thick. I looked in the mirror when they were completed and I cried a little my eyebrows were thin and uneven. I told the young lady I'm not happy I told you a simple clean up. She told if you don't like it just leave and walked away. I was really wowed. I just walked out and will never ever recommend anyone here. Not impressed at all. They made my feet 10x more rough than when I went and my husband's actually blistered on the bottom with a huge water blister. That is not cool for a soldier. My nails were sloppy and not even completely polished. read more

The search for a decent set of nails continues. They are under new ownership. The owner came from Houston 3 weeks ago so i thought...big city...maybe he knows what he's doing. I was wrong. His technique was different from what I'm used to but i thought is give it a chance anyway. I told him i wanted my acrylics very thin and that I'm military so no color. The "American" tip powder he was going to use was waaaay to white. So i gave him 2 stars for mixing me a shade that was within regulation. He quoted me $20 for an "American fill & buff" but then tried to charge me $35. I paid $28 because of my military discount. :( read more

i went here to treat myself on my birthday because i had never gotten my nails done and i always watch videos for it needless to say i wasnt impressed..the man who did my nails greeted me very nicely, told me happy birthday and all that but i felt rushed through my process, and constantly told to relax when i was asking questions, im high functioning autistic and i told him this but he didnt seem to pay attention, my cuticles got knicked a couple times and he filed so rough on one of my nails he broke the edge of my skin and it bled, thankfully i was able to wash and clean up my hands but ouch! i tried and tried to tell him i keep my nails almond shaped but he left them too wide leaving me to have to re-file and re-buff my nails at home to my desired shape, im going to try and admire these sparkling holo nails for the love of the holo but then im going to soak them off myself ps. he thought my dad and i were a couple...my dad is way visibly older than me with grey hair/mustache im only 22! rude af. read more

Worst experience ever!!! Save your money! I went into this shop to get my old nails soaked off and a new set put on. The shop manager did my nails. He burned me with the drill! And when I say something he told me to stick my finger in a cup of alcohol! I told him that it was a burn and he said, "I'm not a doctor...don't worry it will be better soon!" OMG are you serious!! He seemed very inexperienced and my nails look like crap! I gave them 2 stars because he did make a small attempt to hold a friendly conversation. But at the end of the day, I had to pay $45 for a crappy job. First and last visit! read more
