My search is over! I have tried 7 nail salons in this area and had bad luck! I started driving to Gatesville just to get my nails done. Well today I walked into Lee's nails and they were very busy It's Memorial Day and many are off. I had the pleasure of Meeting Kevin, after soaking off a bad gel set and actually doing exactly what I been asking for I am for sure a customer. He took his time although they were on a wait. This is usually a nail salon that I come too because it's close to my house, but yesterday I went here to get a manicure I explained what I wanted very thoroughly, the person who did my nails was very rough and rude he did not keep the station clean and he packed on the powder on my nails causing my nails to look chunky, my nails are also bleeding at the cuticles because the tool he used he was very rough and kept blaming me for "moving" but really I was getting uncomfortable because he kept nicking my skin and then proceeded to blame me for the nails being messed up. I went there to get a regular Pedicure. I picked up my color and was seated in the chair. The attendant spent five minutes on my toes and did a really bad job on the paint. They wanted me to get the gel lacquer instead of the regular fingernail polish but the gel lacquer cost $15 extra so I opted not to. I've had my toes done before with this lady did not do according to regulations. Also my mothers toe because she went with me was cut pretty good. For one, they had asked an elderly to step in the waxing room for her eyebrows to be done at the beginning of my nails to be started and didn't even get to her even after I left. Love this place! I went in an hour before they closed and ended up walking out 20 minutes after they were suppose to lock up. I had to get my old acrylics removed (that some other salon messed up), a new full set, and gel polish. I make an appointment every two weeks. Never have I been to a nail salon that didn't honor appointments, except for this place! They act surprised, or even bewildered that you have one. I would give this place zero stars if I could. The first time I went, I paid $33 for an acrylic set. It lasted three weeks, and the guy who did it was a very skilled nail technician. I went back on Saturday for a fill. Jenny, the manager, charged me $37 for a fill, because I switched to gel nails which was SUPPOSED to last longer. I should've known from the start that her work would look like trash since she looked like trash with only a pink bra and a revealing white tank top on. She told me we could do a matte coat, but that turned out looking awful. I highly doubt she noticed how bad her work was since she was on her phone every second she got. I went back later that day when she put the shiny coat back on, and it looked fine. Let's fast forward three days later. The paint is chipping off, there are dents in the nail and it looks horrible overall. I called to see if I could get it redone, but I instead get yelled at by Jenny and hung up on. Don't waste your money on this place. They're unprofessional and rude. Now I'm out $42 and I can't even get a refund. read more

The decor of the place is awesome and staff is friendly however the work that they did on my feet was not so great. I got the regular pedicure with gel polish which is 45. However the lady who did my nails she was not confident or paying attention to her work. She kept trying to upsale me on different services instead of doing the job. In the result, she kept filing at my toe nails, cutting at the cuticles, and messing up the polish. I went in today (6/15/19) for a pedicure. After my pedicure was complete, the technician took the metal instruments used (clippers, etc.) to the sink, washed them, and then placed them inside one of the "sterile" bags. Instead of putting them in a basket to put into the autoclave, he took the "sterile" bag and put it back into the bucket that contained the oil, etc. - as if it was ready to use on the next customer. When I pointed this out to the "owner," I was told that I did not see that - and that they put several of the bags into the autoclave at a time. I tried to explain to her that he did not put the bag into a basket to be sterilized later, but put it back into the bucket to be used on the next customer, I was told that that was NOT what I saw! So I came here to get a gel manicure since I got off work early. I will never go back. They gave me dirty looks and the guy was so creepy. He reminded me of some psycho. ..no joke. He was using the tool that's sounds like a dentist tool and was rubbing it on my skin and giving me this odd smile...like wtf. Creepy as hell. He made me very uncomfortable. I honestly don't know which man was the tech, but he spoke English. When I got home, I had to repaint my toenails.
