The receptionist has always been friendly and professional. Most of the time, the nail techs do a great job; however, my last visit wasn't great. She didn't speak much English, so my telling her how I wanted my nails shaped didn't register and she kept nicking my fingers when trying to remove the gel polish. Not fun. The "manager" Jess is absolutely rude and disgusting. I will NEVER spend my money at this salon again. To make a long story short, I called to schedule my normal full set, pedi+ overlay combo. Plus a mani pedi for my stepdaughter. (Well Over $250 services) a sweet man took down my info and scheduled me with the same technician I've been booking with for over a year. Apparently JESS tried to contact me but I "missed her call too many times"?...she called twice...and only because my phone was on do not disturb....I called back IMMEDIATELY several times and the mailbox kept saying full... 1 ring and straight to voicemail. But regardless, when I finally got a hold of her NOT ONLY DID SHE GIVE MY APPOINTMENT AWAY but when I tried to explain there must have been a mistake with the timing, she said "well the person you booked with is Just a technician and doesn't know how to make appointments " ????????????? SO HOW IS THAT ON THE COSTUMER???? I was literally pulling into to the parking lot and I live 25 minutes away....Just to be told my SCHEDULED appointment was given to someone else who came In because I didn't answer in time? I have been here a few times before, usually the service is pretty good and the nails are iffy depending on who you get. I came in tonight to see if they had anything available for a walk in. A lot of them saw me come in and look at the nails while I was waiting for someone to not be busy. Nobody said ANYTHING to me. I didn't want to interrupt the people doing nails but even after they were done they all just acted like I wasn't there. I sat there for about 35-40 minutes because I didn't want to bother the people that were busy. Then I just left because I felt like they were annoyed I was there in the first place and didn't want to do anymore nails. WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN 100% OKAY. I would have just made a appointment or came back the next day. I wasn't the only person there that was ignored either, a couple walked in and stayed for about 10-15 minutes before they left. Yet another bad nail salon in Copperas Cove. The woman who waited on me proceeded to tell me all about her CPS sex abuse case! My tech cut into my cuticle with the drill causing me to bleed. I was forced to wait with halfway done nails as they kept starting new customers as they came in. I counted ten of us sitting halfway done at one point. I wasn't the only one complaining. Then the internal drama between coworkers began. I had another time I went, again they completed my nails halfway filling up with multiple customers all only completing work halfway, when the arguments between the desk attend at and the techs began. I'm not here for this. I'm here to relax. My nails were smeared and done badly and ended up breaking within 3 days. The cost is above average and not worth it at all. I'm here paying for a service that is a luxury as in not necessary. I'll never use a salon in Copperas CI've again as its Chamber of Commerce, its health department, literally anyone who could investigate the goings on in these salons does nothing. I went in before I left town for spring break. I was upsold dip nails (my first time getting them) because I was told they were healthier and lasted longer than gel nails. The next day, one of my nails cracked so I called and told the woman on the phone what happened and that I was leaving town for spring break. Over spring break I didn't work, basically did normal, every day things (drive, eat, Xbox, sleep, shower and generally exist) and now have a total of 9 cracks in 6 of my nails. I went back today to show the lady and she said that you have to be very careful with powder dip (I was not told this before) and since it was exactly a week since I had them done I could pay to have them redone, but they won't fix them. Sure, I get the one week window. But is it at all acceptable that these nails didn't last my relaxing spring break week out of town? No, even regular polish would have lasted longer without chips. This is horrible customer service. Essentially, I paid $50 for my nails to look nice for less than 24 hours. I had a really good experience here back on mother's day for a mani/pedi. Unfortunately I can't remember the young man's name who provided my service. Due to his performance and care I was excited to come back for a quick service here but, it ended up not being as nice as my original visit. I had requested a simple shaping, trim and gel shellac manicure as I was very proud of the growth I had made with my natural nails. I was assigned to a nail technician by the name of Frank I believe. When he filed my nails they were crooked and angled so that one side of the nail was longer than the other. Even after asking him to even them out a little more I still had to end up refiling them at home to get a good shape. He left while my hands were soaking and returned smelling very strongly of cigarette smoke. The smell lingered the rest of my service. The shellac was not painted on evenly and within 2 days has started to chip in some areas and one of my nails has even broke. The staff is relatively friendly and there are some that offer really exceptional work but this visit sadly was not one of them for me. Update: 4 of my nails have broke at the tips now and the shellac has begun peeling off 3 of them. I am currently a stay at home mom during the third trimester if a high risk pregnancy so I have not been doing any kind of "rough" work with my hands. The results of this service did not even last a weeks time and for the price I paid I am very disappointed. I do not believe I will return here again despite knowing they have at least one employee who knows what they are doing. read more

I told the reception what I wanted and she related it to the nail tech. I only wanted my old set removed and have an overlay on my natural nails. I have been searching for a great nail spa for awhile in Killeen & could never find one. I'm so happy I came to this one in Cove. My experience was the best one I've had anywhere! Pedicures were top tier & very relaxing especially the massage. The gentleman who did my toes made sure he cleaned my toes up very well, asked if the color is what I had wanted & gave me the most relaxing foot/leg massage I've had anywhere. The gel nails I wanted were never done here before but the owner squeezed in some of her time in between clients to give me the exact design I wanted without making me feel like a burden. She did great! The gentleman who shaped my nails did an amazing job as well, the shape was exactly how I wanted & the nails were very smooth- no bumps, no bubbles, no uneven areas. I would give this place 0 stars if I could but I can't! I went with my friend and I had the worst experience ever there. They were rude and seemed in a hurry when they were doing our nails. The guy that I had made me bleed three times and just painted over it and I had bubbles and clumps in my nail polish. And my friend had an even worse experience. Her nails are the picture attached. The lady that she had was trying to fix her nails and she just put more nail polish and more top coat on and didn't let it dry and just kept on piling on more polish. I'll give them a 2 1/2 star. I took my daughter and I to get our nails done well hers polished and for me a pedicure... I also decided to get my lashes done as well. The nails and pedicure was great alone I'll rate a 4 for both their service was great too. It's just a REAL BAD EXPERIENCE with the nail tech. First she didn't listen when I told her I like full lashes she kept saying no natural, no lady I'm not natural I like up and beyond. Then comes this AWFUL glue. Oh my gosh I really think this glue is legal it burnt my eyes for more than an hour I'm typing now and still having problems. He other workers were like bring your own glue next time and smirks/ laughing. Like really what if I was to lose my sight behind this. You guys choose not to listen to me. I stayed like 30mins to see if the burning would stop it eased up but didn't. Its 11pm and I went around 4:30 so yes I have been very uncomfortable since. I recently came here to have my nails done. I asked for a design that the nail tech could not dp. I ended up opting for a solid color. once he was finished I received a pedicure. During,I decided I was not happy with the paint job and asked if I could get it removed and get french tips. The guy doing my pedicure explained that it would be 55 dollars. After he was done, he sat me back at the table to have my polish changed. I'm not sure if the guy who did my nails was offended or what because he became extremly aggressive and mentioned multiple times that " I was going to pay more money for his time" which is ridiculous considering that he did not do a good job the first time. he claimed that the price would be 70 dollars. I ended up leaving because he was so rude, even though I remained polite and cordial with him . I dont understand how you can work at an establishment called "Happy nails" with a bad attitude.
