I burned an entire lunch break trying to come here…read more "Well why'd you do that?" Because apparently this place closes at 4PM. They work 9-4. That's better than bankers' hours! Since I, like most people, have a real job that starts before 9 and ends after 4, my only option is a lunch break run. So I drove the ~25 minutes to get here just to be greeted by a sign that says "RAMSEL'S WATCH REPAIR HAS MOVED!!" To make it worse, they don't even have the goddamn decency to say WHERE they moved to. According to the sign you have to call a number to get the new location. Okay, whatever. I called the number... NO ANSWER! And the icing on the cake, the voicemail message tells you to call ahead (I bet that the irony of having to call just to be told to call head is lost on them), and doesn't even give you the new address! So they moved but refuse to give you info on where they moved to, or to update their business info (either on Google or here) stating that they moved or update the address! One star for wasting my time.

The owner and artist has decades of experience in design & creation of jewelry. About seven years ago the shop moved from its long established location in downtown Colorado Springs to Old Colorado City. He is now at the corner of 17th & Colorado Blvd. He does seem quite modest and I don't find a web presence. If he treats you like he treated me (and he didn't know me from Adam) he'll treat you like he'd treat his own mother. One thing I can guarantee you'll get here is honesty - that was pretty apparent. Almost all metal and jewel work seems within his competence, certainly platinum, gold & silver in any of their iterations, and any stone, cut or otherwise. Obviously I like his style.
