The moment we walked in a woman saw us standing at the front desk, my friend said hello twice and the woman scoffed and didn't acknowledge her. Finally we were greeted with a rude "do you have an appointment" when she said yes and kindly explained other bridesmaids were running behind she was cut off and told "well you can only have 4 people". The bride explained she gave all the info three weeks prior and was never told this. They awkwardly let us walk the floor while we waited for our group then when everyone arrived they set us up in the brides dress salon? Then realized it wasn't a bride appointment but a bridesmaid, this right here clearly shows you their lack of willingness to make any effort toward our group as the clients as they didn't even know the details of the appointment. The woman acted like she didn't want to help or touch half of the bridesmaids who were trying on, specifically ones of color. It was atrocious!!!! Since we were so disappointed with the bridesmaid portion my friends decided to try on a few bride dresses. The woman would barely clip her; had zero patience and sent her out to show off the gowns with it falling off of her. When she was close to finding the one and it was also the dress her mother chose, the woman kicked her out of the fitting room and said "well you can't try anymore on your time is up" and immediately started whisking away gowns leaving my friend in the dress alone in fitting and had to have her mom help her out of it. Absolutely despicable. I will warn everybody to stay FAR away from this place and leave a review on every platform I can. DO NOT give them your business.

Everything about my experience was amazing and she was so kind and made me feel so comfortable. Amy seems to really love making each bride to be feel welcomed and valued. My father insisted I try to find a dress there because he was so impressed with how comfortable she made him feel out of his element. Ultimately I decided on a custom gown and can not wait to see the finished product! Each step of the way, I felt as if Amy gave me her undivided attention and worked around my schedule and needs. When I called to express my concern, I was told they "inspected every layer" and it wasn't like that when it was in their possession. However, some of the blood is on the back side of lace appliques, and the layer of fabric between my body and the appliqué is not bloody, which leads me to believe it was stained during the making of it. Instead of apologizing, offering to pay for dry cleaning, etc., I was instantly blamed for something that I did not do. Moreover, I had an issue of ordering a lined gown and paying for a lined gown, but receiving an unlined gown. The store so graciously refunded the difference between unlined and lined versions, but the refunded amount doesn't cover alterations to make it lined. I loved the entire process of buying a gown from here, but am horribly dissatisfied and disappointed with their professionalism and overall attitude.

I was visiting my…read morefamily in my hometown (I live in Chicago) and wanted to get my dress downstate so I could be with my family when picking it out and so I could benefit from how much more affordable things are in my hometown. Trying on dresses was going great and we had a couple of very solid contenders until i came out wearing a new option and saw exactly what the comments were describing. The owner who had been super nice to me when I came in was now screaming at the other group who had been trying on dresses about how they wasted her time and should have gone to another shop first and "why did it need to be her shop." This immediately made my whole appointment take a turn and I felt like if I didn't buy a dress I was also going to be yelled at. At the end of the day, I didnt feel like anything I tried on was exactly "the one" but I did have a couple that i liked and wanted to think more on. I asked my sales associate if she could keep a record of the ones we liked so if we called to purchase they would know which dress to order for us. She confirmed and let us know we could talk to the owner if we wanted to on our way out. I declined and we all tried to exit as quickly as possible to avoid a lecture for not purchasing. As we exited the business the owner screamed out the door "if you're not going to ask the price of the dress you are not going to purchase" my MOH and I popped back in (this was a mistake) and proceeded to also get a lecture where she demanded to know if i wanted to purchase downstate or where I lived, if I wanted a dress from another appointment I had had that morning more, if i had more appointments that day. Then she demanded I "just be straight with her, she's a person" -- it felt like I was going through a breakup. I've never had to explain to a store owner why I didn't want to purchase their product. She kept harping on us not wanting to know the price until I let her know I wasn't concerned about it because she had promised to stay within my budget and my mom told me she was willing to pay whatever if it was the dress I wanted. My maid of honor call d her out for being abrasive and said "honestly we were considering the dress she liked but this is extremely abrasive and ruining our experience" and then I told her "I actually really liked the dress but now I feel like I'm in trouble." After this she did dramatically switch her attitude. We had one last appointment that day and I had an absolutely amazing experience. What really sucks is the dress I liked the best was the one I tried on at down the aisle but after this experience I would never give her my money - And mostly I just don't want to have to deal with going back to this shop and risk getting in trouble again. I have a lot of friends back in my hometown engaged and looking for dresses and I will be sharing this experience and warning all of them not to visit this shop - wanted to post here as well for anyone considering! We had a really great day dress shopping except for our experience here - there are a lot of great shops in central IL. What a bizarre experience. At least it's a good story my mom, MOH and aunts will laugh about for years to come.
