As someone less familiar with the metro system here, I would have appreciated an information wall with maps, directions, or a schedule of the metro. There is also a parking garage next to it. However, the "free Marta parking garage" is very small, has maybe 50 spaces total. There is a pay to park garage as well, and thankfully it's not very expensive, we paid about $10 for our parking after a few hours.

The only bad thing is that it's slow. Good way for a tourist to get around. It isn't so much for a commuter. This can be incredibly slow. Because it follows tracks it can't change lanes if there's an obstruction. The drivers also often stop for long breaks, so don't be in a hurry to get somewhere. If you're just visiting for leisure it's good for looking around. It goes to many of the important places. This is also cheap so it's pretty okay for tourists.

I had an encounter with 2 loose dogs, one of which was large and threatening and could not be controlled by the owner - an elderly gentleman. I had 2 working dogs with me on leashes and left within the hour without hooking up as I did not feel safe. I had to scramble for another park on a Saturday evening, twice as far away from where I needed to be. Refund was refused, even though the office manager who I reached on Monday said this has occurred before. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau.

We mostly stood around on a slow Monday night and watched delivery robots up and down the streets that were more interesting than the tour. No sources, no access, no atmosphere. Also, the "tour guide" told us it's rumored that Wayne Williams of the Atlanta Child Murders took some of the boys he killed to St. Mark United Methodist Church on Peachtree St. and briefly left them there in the basement before he disposed of their bodies. She then went on to say that the church now holds children's services in the same part of the church and that it's "creepy." Give me a break. I've lived in Atlanta for a quarter century and have researched that case extensively, and I've never heard of anything so ridiculous until now. There's also nothing online to support it. If you're expecting legitimate stories, a little theater, or even one genuinely spooky stop, this isn't it. Cut the sales pitches, pick actual sites we can experience, and tell fewer, better stories with citations. Until then, hard pass.

Coming to the train station really brings back memories of my kids and I, just taking day trip to each train station and reading what history if any was posted on the walls inside. And getting off at certain stations to talk a walk around that area. Come to think of it, this is something I need to introduce to my grandson. The station hasn't change at all really. But I can say it is much much cleaner. The station is very will lit and I noticed several security officers, which was nice. I don't know if it was because of the football game, or if they're there all the time. Also the parking was plentiful. Also with security.
