My Lyft driver got into an accident with another vehicle on our way to my university . Fast forward the car had to be towed and Marietta Wreckers came to pick it up. The guy who picked us up was nice and welcoming. Then we get to the customer service of the front desk. The blonde lady who works the window inside is incredibly rude and not at all friendly. She seems to hate her job with the attitude she has. But back to the point I being an uninvolved party in the accident that took place wanted my luggage. I had to be at my job in less than 30 minutes and needed my luggage that has all my essentials at my dorm asap. She proceeded to be difficult and say they have to get the car logged into the system before they can get my stuff. What does my luggage have to do with the accident? Then I had a ride waiting for me so I can leave to my job and they are over there taking their precious time. All I wanted was my items and it wasn't until 3:48pm I got my luggage back. We got there past 1:30pm when she said I would get it soon. Overall the service is awful, tedious and not welcoming whatsoever. read more

My wife was hit by a drunk driver, and her vehicle was towed to Marietta Wrecking. The following morning, I filed our insurance claim and went to retrieve personal effects from the vehicle. I brought all appropriate paperwork and there was no police hold on the vehicle. I could see the vehicle thru the fence but I was refused access to the vehicle by Marietta Wrecking saying it was already removed. Being that I could see the vehicle I knew that to be incorrect. I asked who removed it and they refused to answer any questions. I pushed the issue that I just wanted our personal effects and again a refusal and a call to Marietta police to have me removed from the property. Now I did not threaten or make any aggressive moves towards anyone, but they remained steadfast that I wasn't getting near my vehicle to retrieve personal effects. Now they had possession of the vehicle from the point of accident. Apparently, they released the vehicle to a third-party company who ultimately towed the vehicle to Cartersville. When the vehicle was logged in at the Cartersville location all of our personal effects were stripped from the truck including license plates and several hundred dollars of other personal belongings. So rudeness aside from the staff of this company, I have to ask, why lie to me that the vehicle was already gone when I could see it in there lot behind the fence and where did our personal effects go. They had possession of the vehicle in a supposed secure lot. Now, I do have plenty of questions about the integrity of this company and based on the reviews so do many other people. I doubt I will ever see my effects returned or get answers to my questions but would absolutely warn folks to avoid this company based on questionable practices and clearly an inability to protect property that is in their possession. read more

These guys are SCAM ARTISTS AND THIEVES!! In Sept 2024 a pedestrian walked in front of my car and was killed. This was obviously traumatic. Due to the fatality, my car was impounded by the police for investigation. Marietta Wrecker Svc was on call that night. Once police released my car (4days later) i called to find out what the cost would be to retrieve my car. I was told $450.00. Since this was not my fault nor my choice gor towing i called the P.D to inquire about reducing the charges. Major King called them and instructed them not to charge me for storage. Rather than being honest or DECENT, they took the charges for storage and instead listed them on the invoice as "ADMINISTRATION FEES" and proceeded to charge me $450 just as they originally had. I paid the full amount and proceeded to request over and over to view some of their records pertaining to business conducted on behalf of the police dept (aka: WE THE PEOPLE). This was perfectly legal and their compliance was mandatory as of a month prior when the Georgia Supreme Court issued a ruling on FOIA compliance wherein government contractors and the business conducted on behalf of government agencies is, in fact, subject to the same rules as those agencies and agents thereof. They should NEVER be granted another contract in Georgia!!!! read more

Lady at front desk is very rude. Yelled at us. Would not let us get vehicle out of impound even though I am the lien holder. Said I would have to have repossession letter or get my son to fill out a form at the jail giving me permission to get the vehicle because his name is on the title. I have never had this problem before because I am the lien holder and have the insurance in my name. Was told Thursday that it would cost $230 to get the truck. Today I was told $510. Because they want so much other paperwork, it sits at their business longer and they are able to make more money. I definitely do not recommend this place. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My vehicle was towed from the scene of an accident per the police. The tow itself was fine but arranging to have the vehicle towed from there to the repair shop was a nightmare. The clerk who answers the phone in the office (actually he DOESN'T answer the phone- just puts you on hold and never returns) is lazy, incompetent and rude even by today's low standards. I waited on hold 30 minutes to give them the release for my car to be moved. I finally hung up and called back and a girl answered right away and helped me. However, the incompetent clerk neglected to include the keys with the car when it was picked up so I once again called and was put on hold for so long that I finally physically went to the place and was told "he'd been busy" (he was sitting at the desk doing nothing when I walked in) and was treated very rudely. This incompetent person should not be working with the public. I'm telling everyone I know about the awful service I experienced here. read more

We had a situation where they stole a set of keys from us and waited 2 months till the tag for the car was renewed and then they stole the car from outside our house . After having paid to pickup my family members vehicle, only at that time was I informed that, M.W.S. could not find the keys. I had visited this establishment earlier to inspect for damage to the car. When I returned with cash in hand. eventually paying well over a grand. It was a this point I was asked , "Are you sure, you didn't take the car keys the last time you were here. I found this accusation , shocking and offensive . Tow truck arrived on time, only good aspect. on the way to the dealership for the original needed repair (differential), my car was released from the straps that secured it into the tow trucks flatbed and smashed into the front of the bed, which warranted a complete front-end redo, which they covered luckily. all i'll say is just double check and triple check to make absolutely sure your car is really secured before they tow it, so your car doesn't spend an EXTRA 2 MONTHS in a sketchy shop on the outskirts of town. read more

What a great experience today. I had the nicest, calmest tow truck driver. After two hours of complications he finally got our 40ft motor home hooked up and pulled out. Very UNSAFE & unprofessional driver. One of your drivers cut me off, pulled out in traffic in the middle of an intersection and cut me off. I had a green light and was in the middle of the intersection. He came from the side street and turned right onto the main road cutting me off and almost causing a pile up. It would have been a 3-4+ car accident. He even had a car on his truck being towed. He then threw his hands in the air & out the window as if to say so what. After that I decided to take photos to get info on the company and truck. He then started to antagonize me by speeding up & slowing down and before he finally pulled off, he blew his horn and held it for about 10+ seconds before speeding off. First, I want to say that Justin C was phenomenal! He was incredibly sweet and helpful. He gave great advice and was prepared for almost any situation. I appreciated his having a charger ready for my phone, advice about working with dealership vs body shop and the insurance. I appreciated that he didn't leave me at the closed body shop but drove me to the car rental agency especially since it was close to the rental agency's closing time and I could not get through to ask for a pick up. He was also considerate in giving my key back so I could get back into the car after it was left at the body shop. The company as a whole I was frustrated with. When I called I was told I had to wait 2 hours. I missed the dispatch call (due to working with the police officer for the accident) and when I called back within 5 minutes later, I had to leave a voicemail. The voicemail greeting wasn't clear so I wasn't sure if it was the correct company or not. It took them 30+ minutes to call me back and initiate the truck to come get me. I was waiting in the heat on the side of the highway for a total of 2h45m which is unacceptable. Especially considering I was 5 miles from the business location. read more

Our son's car was impounded by the Smyrna police dept and taken to the impound lot of Marietta Wrecker Service. My husband called within hours and was told by Jackie that he had 3 days to get it and the fee was $175. He called again 2 days later to pick it up and was told it was $280. He informed Ramona that Jackie had said the fee was $175 and was told that Jackie isn't here so the price is $280. Seriously? Is this how you want to do business? She informed him that he could wait to speak with a manager but the fee would be more. This is some of the worst customer service I have seen in a while. They towed my truck as it needed an air compressor changing. They said they have in house repair shop. They spend over three days to replace an air compressor. They caused more damage such as cam shaft sensor and crankshaft sensor that wasn't there before. The mechanic himself was very rude and irrational. The main manager was helpful and played it cool and said he is all about Customer service. However it was an all an act considering when I complained that the mechanic caused more issues after the compressor had been fitted. The mechanic took 16 hours to fix an air compressor after which he was shouting abuse and being rude. I has to Uber 3-4 times to get parts as they were taking too long. It cost me over $250 in Uber and they charged me $500 for labour. By the time I got back to CA I had to get more work done which cost me over $1,000. When I went to pay they said sorry we only accept debit card or cash. The reason they said that was because I can not put a complaint in and get my money back. All clever business moves but I got your number Freddie don't think I was born yesterday. Do not use this company full of deception and sweet talk. Very cunning. STAY AWAY! They talk about customer service it's all BS. Don't believe a word these lot say! read more

After telling him about the problem and location she got off the phone to make another phone call. A few minutes later he called back to make sure that everyone was still okay and safe..Not many people do this and we are extremely grateful to speak to someone who actually cared. This company charges a 'parking garage fee' of $35 because they claim to send a 'special' wrecker to fit into parking garages. There is nothing special about it. It was a normal sized t-bar wrecker with wheel lift. They have a fee for every kind of extra fee that they can come up with. An 8 mile tow was over $200. Ridiculous. read more

After having my only set of car keys picked up by someone else after rafting down the Chattahoochee River, I found myself in a real nightmare of a situation. My car was parked on the side of the road, up on the curb. After calling AAA, they sent two different kinds of tow trucks. Each of them told me that the simple fact that I have a Volvo SUV, that is all wheel drive, and that was up on a curb meant that they could not (or would not) tow it. This of course, left me with few options. I had to leave my car on the side of the road overnight and hope that it was still there the next day. The following morning my Volvo dealership recommended this company to me, and working with them to get my car to the dealership to make new keys was an absolute pleasure!!! Ken, who could not have been nicer, listened to my situation and completely understood why I was unable to be there when the tow truck arrived. No problem. He actually believed what I was saying and trusted me... imagine that! I have since saved this number in my phone and will forever call them to tow my car - they just 'get it' and take care of it. Its nice to have someone you can depend on because generally, when a towing need arises, stress and frustration levels can be higher. I truly was amazed at how simple and pleasant working with them was. Would recommend them to anyone! read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had a 10am appointment scheduled with Marietta Wrecker. I spoke with Jason in the office when scheduling and he assured me that this was a service they were capable of doing. 10am - no show 10:15 - I have to call and check in and find out if there is a delay. I am informed that the truck is 30 mins behind. 10:30 - I get a text from a driver that says he will be on site in 30 mins 11:45- the driver shows up and tells me that he can't do the job with the equipment he has. (Not his fault) At this point I call back to the main office and talk to Jason again. He informs me that they sent a "fill in" driver to do the job and the "main guy" was off work today. Jason gives me a phone number for the guy and tells me to call him to schedule with him directly. So I call Ty and he says that he isn't at work right now but can come over later this afternoon to finish the job. 3:30 - I talk to Ty and he tells me that he is 30 mins away from the site I drive back over to where I had already spent my morning waiting 5:15 - over an hour of waiting and no sign of Ty, No sign of Marietta Wrecker At this point I am pretty disappointed that I have spent all day waiting around. I call back to the office to see if Jason can get Ty on the phone and get an ETA of when he will be there and Jason starts treating me as if I am lying about Ty saying he was coming over?! I explain that I have had several phone calls and have text messages with his driver specifically talking about coming over this afternoon to finish the job. He said "What do you want me to do about it?" JASON THEN TELLS ME THAT "THIS JUST ISN'T GOING TO WORK OUT" So in the end, I've wasted an entire day waiting to NOT get the job done. This was the wrecker service the police called for me after my car was left undriveable after being hit in an intersection. There was a timely arrival by the driver to pick up my car, but the amount of information I was giving while he was picking it up was weak. My rear bumper cover was holding on by a bolt and a few screws. The driver tore it off my car before raising it onto the flatbed. That seemed very disrespectful to me, but I figured it could be reattached. When I went to get my car from the yard my bumper cover was missing. I asked at the desk and they told me they do not hold on to parts of the car that come off during the accident (which it didn't) to avoid clutter in the yard. I was told it may still be on the dumpster and that I could come back in the morning to look for it. If Marietta police ask if you have a wrecker service you'd like to call just say yes and call literally anybody else. Just terrible service. read more

We use this company often over the years. We recently tried using our Automated Nationwide Roadside Assistance to cut down reimbursement paperwork...and ended up waiting for hours while they called random towing companies that would cancel minutes before estimated arrival time. Cancelled the Nationwide and called Marietta! 30 minutes later my car was on its way! Fantastic service, Courteous and professional driver. Love the clean well maintained equipment.
