This place has a great staff/and Doctors, however it's "impossible " to reach anyone to set appt or return calls to your Doctor...I'd give a 5 star for quality/and care but a 3 because no one picks up the phone, therefore you have to go in person (contact)..I'm shocked they don't have someone available to answer calls and schedule/reschedule appointments since no contact is so important since Covid. read more

The girls at the front desk at the Novato clinic are okay, they rarely smile but I've never had a problem w them. Now the man who's a bit heavyset and wears black reading glasses - he's horrible. He yelled at me bc I didn't hear his instructions what he said and had such a negative attitude I haven't seen in a while. I hope he's not there at our next dental cleaning appointment. If you accidentally leave some thing (I left a contigo water container right next to the dental chair, not in the lobby) you'll never see it again because no one is honest enough to turn it into lost and found. read more

This place is absolutely the worst, they don't care about their patients, I was 5 nights with high fever and the doctor who saw me was the wrong one, I made an appointment to see otolaryngologist and the front desk confirmed upon my arrival that I would be seen by an ear doctor. For my surprised the doctor that came in to the room wasn't the doctor I've made the appointment, so she gave medication for eyes when I had an ear infection and gave me a medication for pain that didn't work even me telling her that I've used the same medication before but didn't worked for me. They don't listen to their patients, I won't be coming back ever again. They don't know what they are doing!! read more

Don't trust these people with your health care. Dr. Melanie Thompson diagnosed me via ESP and she was wrong. She told me it was my back but actually COPD. Went through COVID without correct diagnosis. All MCC wants is to charge your insurance as many times as they can. Today I went to the dentist ... something I do not enjoy doing. It is painful and uncomfortable and today that was not the case. I first was greeted by Daniela C. The receptionist and she was lovely! She was very welcoming and polite. She told me about the services and helped me update my account with MCC. She checked me in and Carlos quickly came out and called my name. Carlos was also very polite and happy to do his job. He made me feel very comfortable and began setting up the room for the dentist. My dentist James Preble was also happy to be there and ready to work. He began by explaining what we would be doing today. During my procedure he was polite and conversating. By the time we were finished I felt no pain and was glad I came in today and received excellent service! I hope I get Carlos and James again when I return! This visit is hands down the best treatment I've received from staff. Thank you MCC for hiring excellent people to provide for us service. read more

To whom it may concern Marin Community Clinic service sucks you try to get ahold of someone they wait between one and two weeks to get back to you when you need your medication on time you call a week ahead of time and guess what they call you back 2 weeks later Emily Reedy does not listen to her patients been extremely rude I also have a stepson that goes there and she feels that she has the right to do and say anything won't she does not have the right to tell me anything about the patient's care when that young man has given me the right to know everything concerning his health and I've had to get an attorney so they know that I am serious about the situation here attorney said they have no right to treat people like this the someone give you permission to know everything about their health they have to do exactly what that person wants. but they do not do that today they called on the phone medication which was due on the 6th. More important than the temporary phone issue: They left one of the stiches in and I had to go back in. I believe there were three practitioners altogether, the NP ended up doing it when the two who were training couldn't or were afraid because there was scabbing over it. The second star is for having the director take care of it when I did go back in, but when I called I had to explain twice I'm not paying for their mistake. Even before COVID, getting on the phone with them has always been an issue. I tried calling 2 days ago because I felt very ill, no answer. I tried calling 2 times and waited for 10+ minutes to be connected with someone so I hung up. Called again today and was finally able to speak to someone. I told her I had a sore throat, cough, blood in my phlegm, ear pain and my eye was super red and she was able to have me come in the same day to get tested for COVID. I showed up, the doctor was supposed to come out to my car, she was 15 mins late, but alas, I was able to get tested. I told her all my symptoms and all she told me was to try some ricola cough drops. read more

The pharmacy at the Marin Community Clinic is engaging in extortion of its customers. I went in to buy a medication today and the price quoted me was double that of 3 months ago. When I asked why, I was told it was the computer program. I am not going to allow myself to be extorted by the pharmaceutical industry as it pursues greater and greater profits at the expense of its customers. So I walked out without my medication. They can take their expensive over-priced medication and shove it! read more

Impossible to get them to answer phones. Callbacks from them are slow if at all. Appointments always a long wait...several weeks...very difficult to get RX's refilled. Terrible communication with patients. Indifferent in their attitude. Everything with this place takes weeks to months. Worst medical provider ever! read more

While I absolutely love my PCP and Psychiatrist, the pharmacy is absolutely the worst. They rarely have my meds ready even if I call every day for multiple days in a row. There's no way to check on meds status or refill them without calling, which itself is a nightmare! Can't get anyone to answer and when they do they give me false information or just write me off. Saying my meds will be ready the next day. When I go in and the meds aren't ready AGAIN (for the third time) they act like I'm crazy for being there and for feeling frustrated. They close randomly (with no warning) when they are the only place I was able to get my meds as it was a Friday and they aren't open at all on the weekend (what about people who work? They open after I go to work and close before I'm off work. They also take lunch for two hours so I can't go on my lunch. So I have now just had them send my meds to Safeway. But I can say from experience that they are not helpful most times and even rude when they have made a mistake. If you are going here have them send your meds elsewhere!! Countless people getting misdiagnosed and finding out they have cancer after its spread. My mom being one of those people and now she is gone. Thats my first complaint second. I know a few people who go there who are in pain and they are refused pain meds one of them had cancer for two years and complained about having pain and they refused its because he had a tumor they didnt look for and now its big . He doesnt have a perscription abuse issue. He has been in pain for quite some time. Shame on his doctor, at Novato Community clinic. Poor people need to be thoroghly checked out too. dont just not look into peoples complaints of their bodies . They know when something hurts or is not right. Please give a damn people are dying because of this. My mom had stomach pains they said she had gallstones for two months she took gallstone meds stil in pain then i went with her and asked for some answers thats when they had a meeting and said they didnt know what was wrong with her. We went to e.r to find she had a tumor the size of a graitfriut in her overies. It is sad to know this is the quality of healthcare people with low income or no insurance receives. During a short period when I was between insurance, I had experienced bad symptoms...I would never go to the doctor especially without insurance if I didn't feel or know in my gut something was wrong. My dad worked at this clinic when I was a child and had such fond memories so I made an appointment and came here. The doctor I saw examined me shortly. She looked disgusted, made remarks, and dismissed it as normal. When clearly, for a young woman my age is not normal. Anyway no tests no further diagnosis nothing...just sent me off and said "if this persists for another week come back" Usually, a real doctor would research why. My doctors at kaiser whether I was insured or not always made sure to get an answer backed up by evidence. By the way, it ended up not being normal and I was told I was at an increased risk for uterine dancer after seeing my doctor at kaiser. They got me the treatment I needed in order to prevent that as much as possible. It's SO sad to see the lack of care some people receive. Your lack of diagnosis and laziness in using your resources in wanting to save money could cost people their lives. read more

I'm on straight Medicare and was unable to find a primary care physician who would accept me. Being on SSDI, I have some chronic conditions that require monthly doctor visits. The clinic accepts my insurance, and gives occasional discounts if I have more appts. than I can afford in one month. Otherwise, I have to cancel. The wait time for me has averaged 30-45 mins. I don't mind, because I've been without insurance and wait times in the ER can be much, much longer. I have found all but one person at the Novato clinic to be very polite and helpful. I'd rather not name names, but there is one practitioner who I believe should work on her "bedside manner" or I will probably switch to the San Rafael clinic. read more

I feel so lucky that my son sees Dr. jeffrey! He is so patient and understanding. He really takes the time with my son to listen to the issue and concerns and tries to problem solve the issues with him. He is really compassionate. During this time, while I wait for SSDI to kick in, I've had a lapse in my Blue Shield coverage and was able to get health care appointments to MCC. I was involved in a multiple car accident over ten years ago that severely injured my lower back. The pain has at times been unbearable. For these ten years or so I've been under the care of The Mt Tam Orthopedics and Spine Ctr. I've seen Doctor Byers, Dr. Sponzilli, and the best NP you would ever want, Lisa Elvin. Lisa has worked through the years to get my pain manageable and I'm not sure where I'd be without her. We finally found a medication that at least for part of the day, makes the pain tolerable. So now that I had to stop seeing them, temporarily I hope, I made an appointment at MCC to see if they would continue with my pain and medical needs. I met with Doctor Krolikowski to discuss the matter and also an examination. Because I was running low on the medicine I was taking, she got hold of my medical files from MTOS and within a week had gotten me approval for more medicine. Throughout the appointment process, to registering the day of, to the exam I was treated very professionally from everyone there. Doctor Krolikowski is very thorough and made me feel at ease with her manner and confidence. Can't thank them enough. read more

I have been using yelp for awhile now and more often write positive reviews but this marin Community Clinic in Novato is unbelievable. I am a RN and have always had great insurance but I am unemployed right now and have med-cal. Emily Reidy NP in novato seemed very nice at first when all she had to do was order basic labs. I went in with an obvious case of impingement on my left shoulder and was not only completely misdiagnosed and sent to PT where I was told to come back after an MRI and or xrays. I had also asked for a narcotic cough medication after a cough that had lasted 3 weeks and resisted inhaler treatment and was given a prescription for an over the counter medication that increases coughing. When I pointed out these errors I was told well I've been to more school then you and I know more then you. I have been an RN for 30 years and worked at the hardest hospitals in the state but hey I know her 6 months of on the job training and 6 months of NP school are important too.
