Just a heads up about this place. It is one of the most expensive parks in the Area. With out ANY SECURITY.. This weekend Friday night. There were 12 Trucks broken into Several guns where stolen and the park would not let the police look at any security video.. Said it had to go though corporate.. So the law had to wait 3 days to even get a chance to look at tapes. So now there is little to no chance of ever catching anyone that is responsible.. There is no security gate and No security guard ... For the money this place is charging you would think your things would be safe.. The police told us this was the third time in 4 months that this had happened. And the people running the park didn't tell any of us this.. Three times in 4 months sounds like a inside job... Just a update. The people that own this park own several in the area. They have one a few miles down and Sam DeLeon last Friday night the exact same thing happened at that park several trucks broken into same MO only stealing firearms and credit cards. Two parks hit with the same MO owned by the same people and still absolutely no security. read more

I have stayed here since March and it has been nothing but amazing. Perfect location, feels like a permanent vacation! 3 pools, updated laundry on site, amazing community room fully stocked with games and kitchen supplies for the full kitchen that is provided. Staff is amazing and maintenance is always hard at work. Planning on staying here for a long time and couldn't have picked a better spot! read more

Total rip off, they are unprofessional dicks, they rape your wallet and try to wow you with amenities you'll never use and charge rent every 28 days, and electricity which is very rare for a rv park. Even the laundry is outrageous, $3 per load wash and $3 dry! If u wanna spend $1000 a month to park on a slab of concrete this is your spot! read more

Clean park, well maintained. Packed, very tight spaces. Dog poop everywhere. Great, helpful and friendly staff with one huge exception. Lots of long term "worker bee's" a few ruin it for the rest of campers. Drunken, loud young refinery workers playing music very loudly often all night. Last evening two police cars required to shut them up. Many folks have filed numerous complaints about these guys but nothing ever happens. Don't know why these few are allowed to ruin the camp for so many others. No fishing in the lagoon, it's nasty. WIFI is spotty, especially when the workers come home and begin using bandwidth. One of the most incompetent, unprofessional and unorganized businesses I have ever encountered. If you'd like to keep the books and run their accounting department, by all means...book a RV site through them. We reserved a site for 1 month due to our kitchen renovation. Paid in full up front and were told that a meter reading would be conducted at the end of the month for electricity. That was fine. For some reason, we received a text message from the front office that our rent was due. We discovered that our renovation would be delayed, so we visited the front office on October 21st to extend for 2 weeks. We dealt with Kathy who from the start seemed incompetent and unable to multi-task. We were able to get her spun up on what we wanted to do. We also presented her with the $622 credit card receipt clearly showing that we had paid prior for the month. She still seem confused, but she ran our card for the monthly electricity and for the extension. NOW....why did we received 2 voice mails while on a cruise in the middle of the ocean saying that our monthly rent was late and that we would be charged a late fee?? My husband with a tropical drink in hand contacted the front office to square matters away. Again, Kathy, confused as ever, could not grasp that she had handled the transactions prior and that everything was paid in full. He got nowhere with her, so he said that I would be in contact providing all credit card charge receipts. While on the ship in the middle of ocean with spotty wi-fi, I managed to draft up a professional email along with sorting and searching for the charge receipts to attach. I explained that we were all paid up and why was there a disconnect with their checks and balances? The only email response given was a screen shot that everything was paid in full. No apologies or anything. Very unprofessional and generic. Returning from our cruise, we decided to leave the RV site earlier than expected due to the sour experience we had with this business. In addition, this RV site houses some racist people. While outside setting up, we heard a man on the phone speaking quite loudly to someone and spewing out racial slurs galore. The N-word was used over and over and we just couldn't believe it. Stay at your own risk! read more

Rented space based on online photos. Paid for a month stay plus electric deposit up front ($812.00). Was promised there would be plenty of room to park 2 vehicles at space and told them my RV was 42ft long. Arrived on site to a pad that was too short for our RV. Could not park 1 car, let alone 2. Space was so tight we couldn't even open our slides. Ended up staying in a hotel. Talked to staff the next day and was told they really didn't have any spaces big enough for me and that she would get the manager to refund my money the next day. We rented somewhere else and then they REFUSED to refund my money!!!!! Very rude and took $662 from us bc we never stayed a night there!!! Beware!!!! I would say they have 250 spots on the size of a Walmart parking lot, it's ridiculous! read more

If you enjoy kids screaming and riding their bikes all over the place unattended, paying at least twice as much to do laundry and extremely rude office staff then this is the place for you! IF you can get in to do laundry, there are usually none available because there are only 3 working washers and dryers that require even more money because they don't work well. We lived there for 5 months, through a winter, and the pool was NEVER heated. Also, keep in mind, you are paying on a 28 day cycle. That means that in a 12 month period (if you are long term)you are paying for 13 months. That should be illegal!! When they rudely tell you that ALL RV parks do this, you can truthfully tell them, they don't. I gave 2 stars ONLY because of the fabulous location. read more

Everything here had been good our whole stay, until we come back to assess the flood damage and find out we are being kicked out or charged almost triple the price of rent to continue our extended stay. The cabin i stayed in was nice and clean. The resort has three pools one of which is heated. The grounds at the rv park were well kept as well. There are shower and laundry facilities at the rv park and they are clean and well maintained. I would recommend this rv park to anyone wanting to stay in the Kemah TX area. read more

I am currently staying at this location and working nights. The first few day were good. The ac worked during the mid 70s and felt good when arriving back at about 630am. Since then, the temperatures have dropped into the high 30's and low 40's. I have tried repeatedly to turn on the heater. It constantly trips the breaker, even though it has a GFCI on it that does not trip. The parks solution was to change the breaker(which I told them would not work because it was the unit itself), so I am once again inside with the temperature below 60. Yesterday morning they gave me one SMALL 18" heater that blows hot air for about 3 inches. THIS WAS THEIR SOLUTION IN A LARGE SIZE CABIN! All I have to say is that if you are thinking about staying in one of these cabins and expect them to take care of you after spending $1944 for less than one month DO NOT DO IT! They make you intial part of the contract that days that they are NOT responsible for ANY of the appliances, including the AC or heater. This place is such a sham. I am sitting here after spending almost $2000, and I have NO HEATER IN 43 DEGREE WEATHER! They do not care about you, so DO NOT STAY HERE!!! read more

Have loved the park for many years. Been back for 2 months, trouble today. Enjoying the pool and the neighbor comes by and says a kid just slammed into your car on their bicycle. Office wouldn't do anything. Galveston county Sheriff said call your insurance. I will find the person. I have video. Work for COBAN. Basterds! read more

Nice facilities. There no actual dog park and the pools are small, which isn't a serious issue. The whole park is very tight especially since it's an RV park. Very tight turns and narrow roads. The cable is OK but the wifi is pretty much non existent, I couldn't even use it to scroll through Facebook on my phone. They charge for eveyrthing, mailboxes, packages you get delivered and it's $2 for a washer and the same for a dryer. They have a dog wash station but I wouldn't be surprised if it was $2 for 30 minutes of water usage. The sites are even but pretty close together. The staff is super friendly and it's kept pretty clean. We have a catahoula leopard dog and they have breed restrictions so someone complained we had a pit bull, if you have a dog that looks like a muscular blocky head dog bring a shot record or something from your vet with their breed. All I had to do was show the shot record (we've had issues before, they look similar) and picture both office ladies signed it and photocopied it in case someone else became concerned and we were OK. They were so nice about it! read more

My husband and I rented a small place at Marina Bay Resort the first part of the year for 4 months. b/c he s working at a local plant. He was laid off and had surgery and now released to go back to work. He was paying $900 dollars a month. They rented it to him on 9/17, for $500 a week now b/c of the hurricane. My family relocated from San Antonio to Houston this summer when I separated from the Air Force after 12 years of active duty service. My wife grew up in the Houston bay area, and we were both excited to start new careers and raise our 1 year-old daughter near her extended family. My wife is a teacher and I'm a member of the Texas Air National Guard. We knew our new-construction home would not be completed before the start of the school year, so we set out to find a short (or no-lease) housing solution. We were happy to find a furnished, 2-bedroom cabin at Marina Bay RV Resort (925 Marina Bay Dr., Kemah, TX 77565) and planned on living there until our new home was complete. Then Hurricane Harvey hit. We packed our suitcases and evacuated the coast on Friday, August 25th. Over the next few days, we watched the natural disaster unfold on the Weather Channel and through our hotel window in The Woodlands, TX. On Wednesday, August 30th, I called Marina Bay to find out if the property had sustained damage and if the surrounding roads had re-opened. The property was damage-free and accessible, the manager told me, but its pricing structure had changed. Instead of the $1445 monthly rate that we had been paying, the cabin would now cost $165 per night. So, effective immediately, the average nightly rate more-than-tripled from $51.61/night ($1445 every 28 days) to $165/night ($4950/month). No advance notice. No grace period. No exceptions. The reason, I was told, was that the owner didn't want guests to live at his resort(s) for long periods of time. Unable to afford $4950/month, we were priced-out of the cabin that we had occupied since early July. Completion of our new home has been delayed indefinitely due to the storm. We were fortunate enough to find other accommodations given such short-notice, and our family of three packed up and moved, once again, when the storm clouds cleared. But I don't know how other Marina Bay occupants faired, considering the housing shortages resulting from the storm. The price hike was legal, the Marina Bay manager explained, as rental property is not subject to the Consumer Protection Act. Regardless of its legality, tripling rental rates before the flood waters had receded stands in stark contrast to the generosity and compassion displayed by so many small and large business owners and fellow citizens in the aftermath of the storm. While evacuated, I volunteered for a mobile dialysis team, which worked around-the-clock to provide transportation to stranded nurses and patients in order to provide life-saving treatment to over one thousand dialysis patients. I witnessed acts of kindness, selflessness and a sense of community--that we're all in this together. On the other hand, Marina Bay management saw a business opportunity and moved quickly to boost profits without any regard for how many families its increased rents would displace. read more

We had a great weekend stay at Marina Bay RV resort. Quiet, clean, helpful front desk staff. It is tight spaces/turns but we were in a large RV with trailer and had no problems. Nice views, walking path, fire pits lit at night. We were on the bayou so fished.No fenced in dog park but plenty of area to walk the dogs and doggie stations available. read more

Heated pool, not so much. Ice cold. Quiet time from 10 pm to 7 am, no sir. Long timers all leave really early for work and the slamming of truck doors and loud mufflers begin at 5am all the way til 7am. Also black lab from neighboring business barks all night on and off and all day long when he sees other dogs being walked. Also they charge you $3 per mail package delivered. Never have we come across this as full timers. This place is way overpriced. Not impressed and will not be stopping here ever again. read more

The place was clean, lots of concrete, bathrooms were very nice and very clean, pretty pools, great location, staff was friendly and polite, pretty palm trees and decorations... etc. I thought it was a nice place. I don't understand the other reviews. It was expensive though no more than the KOA in Leander and much nicer. read more

Weekend getaway spent here with hubby. We loved it! Kathy took my reservation over the phone and was as nice as can be. The spot she suggested was perfect and beautiful. Check in was with Sandy and what a breath of fresh air! Plus she told us about all the local spots to eat and drink. We hit 3 of the places she suggested and were not disappointed. I appreciate the fact that this park has an "adults only" section. This section was quiet and peaceful and even sectioned off by a fence so you don't have kids wondering through your area. Internet and cable worked about as well as any other park we've been to. The bathrooms were extremely clean. We were unable to use any of the pools since we were doing sightseeing but the one we drove by, looked really nice. The entire park appeared to be well taken care of. Concrete pads in great shape. I don't understand the negative reviews, I'm glad I ignored them because we will definitely be going back. read more
